I'm sorry for your loss. Why did you ignore the countless thefts that have occurred before? Didn't you think that with such an important amount of money you should have invested some serious time into learning how to properly secure it?' These might seem like rude or difficult questions, but perhaps as a community we can start to understand why some people ignore all of the amazing tools available for securing bitcoins. Once we understand, maybe we can raise awareness. I couldn't imagine leaving such an important amount of money at some exchange. That's just asking for trouble.  I know. I am extremely depressed |

He got into 2 of my email account. My btc-e account which had another 0.90 BTC. My wife is really upset over this as this was our little saving  |

Is there a way to find out which exchange an address belongs to?
How do you know an address belongs to an exchange? Or maybe gambling sites / mixers? Or just personal? Unless an exchange keep using an address again and again to process payment, we will never know. Indeed, if you register a new account in, say, bitstamp, your deposit address would be a completely new address belonging to bitstamp. Okay I put it wrong. Is there a way to find out if an address belongs to an exchange? |

This is day 22, I have still not received my refund on the deposit I requested. I made sure everything was spot on, including reference numbers etc etc.... It is a fairly large sum of money. I have been speaking to someone at CS, he sounds nice enough. He's basically passing the buck on, saying he is not responsible for doing the transfers and has informed the CEO about it. I am getting very frustrated and angry with this whole this. If I don't receive it by Friday, I am thinking of doing the inevitable. |
