21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BAT (Basic Attn coin) and Brave browser on: February 12, 2019, 05:57:33 PM
I'm using Brave + Metamask as a separate environment for my ETH transactions over games and I find the browser for kind of sloppy. But if you want to make some dollar with Brave + bat, you could download it for free from here https://brave.com/download/

Chrome is still much better choice for everyday tasks.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I hear that Monero has a new competitor in town on: February 10, 2019, 11:54:24 AM
Forget about Scroda. The project have zero support at this moment.

I'm more interested can Grin be a real Monero competitor? Because it is gaining support from the community and this is the most important thing for any project.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICON what happened? on: February 10, 2019, 11:15:55 AM
simply because it is useless!
any coin or token that has no use cases is eventually going to end up in the same place as the other couple of thousand altcoins that have come along and died in a short time.

if that is not enough then your own statement should do it:
ICON still gives 12% monthly by staking it,
any coin that gives this much away creates a lot of circulating supply that people gained easily and they will obviously dump. it is a pretty simply supply and demand thing!

no usage=no demand + high circulating supply + free high profit percentage => declining price
And what about PundiX? They are airdroping tokens every month and if you calculate the yearly ROI is around 30%!
As I said, I know that we are in bear market, but look at the grap, there is a line - it seems that the project is dead.

The flat line is not bad at all. It could be like a ski trace Smiley

PundiX ROI was over 90% for 2018 with ~7.12% monthly while they changed the distribution rules few times. The airdrop percentage dropped significantly for 2019 and they also failed big with POS devices delivery schedule and desires for new ICO. This is what ruined PundiX price. Same with ICX.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: For those bounty hunters who can hardly relate on: February 08, 2019, 02:18:20 PM
Take a merit from me too Smiley)))

You OP is the sad true about 90% or more of the campaigns and ICOs in 2018. Let's hope that the trend will change for this year...
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: where i can find ANN, if it is not on Bitcointalk? on: February 08, 2019, 01:48:54 PM
hello,

on the world is many ICO/STO + without ico/sto  blockchain projects, they are coming on network all month.

for example in singapore and in my country to, is many project, and they arenot on bitcointalk,  haw i can find them?

what is your favorite webs on way for search them?

and what is you favorite website for trusted newss about blockchain?

Google is your friend here, like "PROJECT Name + ANN".
Or you could follow big ICO listing sites like IcoBench, IcoAlert, etc.
To succeed, an ICO need publicity and if you can't find it easily, most probably will not worth it.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: (TON) Telegram Open Network - are you ready? on: February 06, 2019, 02:34:36 PM
1.7 Billions raised..  So you will need its marketcap to increase in another a huge amount of 1.700.000.000$ to get just a 2X ICO price.. In other words, the potential of growth has no interest for me. no thanks.. i will stay out
Exactly thank you very much for highlighting this fact. Its very unlikely that this coin may raise another 1.7B, making it a very risky investment.

Yep, I will also stay away from TON. Telegram managed to raise astonishing amount of money and I don't see any changes of going x2 or x3. I don't see any viable business model to bring those money back without breaking the privacy features of the messenger.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Gambling altcoins - are they fundamentally undervalued? on: February 06, 2019, 02:10:56 PM
Read an interesting article on gambling altcoins that I posted in the BTC gambling forum but was told I'd likely get more discussion here.

The article basically concluded that gambling alts (like FunFair, Edgeless, Wagerr etc.) are undervalued given that gambling is a key use case for cryptocurrencies.

Of course, FunFair at one point had a $900m+ marketcap (now just $21m).

Do you think these coins will bounce back? Will new ones emerge? Or do you think most people betting with crypto will stick with Bitcoin?

Here's the article: https://www.cryptogamblingnews.com/crypto-gambling-undervalued/

I think this is because people are searching for simple betting and gambling solutions, and not a smart contracts, oracles and quantum physics just to but a single bet. At least I'm looking for simplicity and just to have fun when I'm gambling.

Beside my point above, I think that most of the gambling coins are undervalued.
28  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅Sportbetting site►50% RCB,minimum bet only 0.01$ you must join◄ on: February 05, 2019, 10:17:35 PM
Nice deposit bonus, seldom see this for sports. First question always is, what is the wagering requirements for sports? 30x? 50x? And what are the minimum odds allowed, and are parlays allowed?

Second question is, I see Skrill and Moneybookers, so does that mean you guys have KYC? If I deposit Bitcoin must I also withdraw in Bitcoin?

No they are not asking for KYC and here you can find out more about deposit bonus:http://planetofbets.com/help/bonus_DB-50-042017

How are they applying their own TOS is there is no KYC?

Quote

Just because of the above point, I'm pretty sure that they will want a KYC at the end. Also, odds are terrible.
29  Economy / Economics / Re: Hamas Military Wing Crowdfunding Bitcoin on: February 05, 2019, 09:51:47 PM
That's bad and that's an actual risk that the enforcement agencies are talking since the inception of bitcoin. We can't ignore the fact that bitcoin comes with the increased risk of fraud, scam and terrorism funding which actually damages its reputation. I hope the account holders that are funding against humanity gets caught soon for the betterment of crypto ecosystem. This is one kind of adoption that we never wanted in this system.

Like there wasn't any terrorism or drug deals or scams before the Bitcoin existence. Suddenly everything started just 10 years ago Smiley
The news will be used for FUD for sure, but I don't think it will lead to something more serious.

Edit: just a quick example = https://www.insurancejournal.com/news/international/2018/11/19/509636.htm
They are talking about 200B Euro's or just 80 000 000 bigger amount than OP's stated wallet.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BitForex exchange- is it safe? on: February 03, 2019, 07:00:55 AM
I'm using BitForex in last few months and I can say mostly positive stuff about it.

Pros:

- They have one of the lowest fees in the industry.
- They have good volumes on main pairs

Cons:

- Wash trades on small tokens, so you can't really trade large volumes on small pairs
- Every currency have confirmation time before you can withdraw anything. Example: you have 100BTC in your portfolio, but unconfirmed deposit of 0.1BTC. Until this deposit gets 6 confirmations, you can't withdraw anything.

31  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TradingView for Desktop v1.0 on: February 03, 2019, 06:33:49 AM
Because the github repo is strangely formatted, I ran a VirusTotal scan:
The scan of the current executable is clean:

TradingView looks great in Desktop. Thanks for the efforts. I will follow the development.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency lending business. on: February 01, 2019, 07:29:54 PM
Cryptocurrency loans emerged as an increasingly viable alternative to borrowing loans. What do you think about the cryptocurrency lending business?

https://news.bitcoin.com/genesis-capital-processed-1-1b-of-cryptocurrency-loans-in-2018/

From client point of view, I find it for very convenient, especially Nexo.
But I'm not so sure about the business part, because the lender is carrying all the finance risk - exactly opposite to a standard business lending model. Still crypto currencies are too volatile, but every start is harsh.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTG gold price difference in yobit on: February 01, 2019, 06:52:16 PM
I was about to sell some BTG and opened Coinmarketcap and checked the price. I was amused with the price differs at different exchange.
Currently its about 0.0028 btc per btg at 99% of the exchanges, but at Yobit its at 0.0014btc per BTG. why is the big difference in Yobit price?
And can we simply buy at yobit and move those coins to another exchange like hitbtc and sell at double price?

It's because of wallet sync problems from Yobit side. If you click on withdraw, you will get "Wallet status: Maintenance".
When you stop an arbitrage with big difference, in 99% of cases there is sync wallet problem from one side or the other and in reality there isn't arbitrage at all.
34  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession effects on Crypto: How to plan your investment portfolio on: January 30, 2019, 09:34:48 PM
45% on stocks and commodities combine during a recession? No, I guess I'll take a larger share for crypto and real-estate investments rather than invest anything on stocks during a recession.

regarding real estate, it really depends what region you're talking about. it's a terrible time to invest in real estate in the USA if you think a major recession is on the horizon. it's an extremely illiquid asset and the market has already seen 10 years of bull market. while the market looks healthier than stocks, it's dependent on the same factors---namely continued economic growth. any recession will damage the real estate market. just look at the 2008 crash!

i prefer holding cash and waiting for blood in the streets myself.

I fully agree with you! The best to invest in real estates is AFTER a recession, not before a recession. If you buy now a real estate, you could find yourself as a bigger looser than stocks in few years if new recession occurs. In my opinion, the best option is to buy touristic real estates in places like Europe or near sea coast in mid/after recession.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EOS and Ethereum might be pumped in China this year on: January 29, 2019, 11:08:55 PM
EOS... maybe could get a pump, because it's getting more real dAPPs everyday. But Ether is struggling a lot lately and usually the prices around Chinese NY are going down, not up.

I decided for myself to not open positions on speculations in next 14 days and just watch and learn.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token.Store and EMPR (don't laugh) on: January 28, 2019, 09:57:12 PM
EMPR is a scam. I have billions of EMPR tokens right now but can't sell them. Even the MetaMask won't let you get there. I hope someday in the coming days, they find a way to resolve the problems and get the project out of the scam list but that seems impossible.

Thanks! Yeah, that's what I figured. But 'token.store' lets me sell them, 80.000.000 EMPR for 0,001 ETH or something like that. The thing is, I wish it would offer the rate that you see in the screenshot. I would buy everyone here houses, haha.

You can't expect a higher rates on scam project.

The best you could do is to post a sell order on a higher price or check what are the order books on other DEX like Forkdelta/Etherdelta.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DIMCOIN- HYBRID STOCK EXCHANGE ON THE BLOCKCHAIN on: January 28, 2019, 09:31:24 PM
DIMCOIN lost 95% of the coin value and I don't trust them at all.

The ICO collected nearly $20M and instead of use the money wisely for development, the team made another ICO few month later. With their actions they completely lost any credibility. I suggest you to stay away from DIM (Foundation).
38  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2019 the new 2015? on: January 28, 2019, 12:00:19 AM
I think we are in a completely different state of bitcoin development and adoption.

Back in 2015 governments doesn't care about crypto, tax agencies too, ICO was a rare exotic and so on. Now regulations are more tight and ICO euphoria is behind us. We will need some powerful catalyzer to see the down and new highs.
39  Economy / Economics / Re: Former Fed chairmen confesses to be responsible for recessions. Tinfoil hats on! on: January 27, 2019, 11:54:28 PM
Nah, the article is really for a tinfoil hats lovers. I don't bite it.

The 2008 recession was expected and predicted by few 1-2 years before. And recessions occurs every 10-30 years, giving us a suffer and opportunities.
40  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what trading has made me on: January 27, 2019, 11:24:19 PM
If you are serious trader, airdrops are worthless loss of time.

Fix your time and energy on trading and make your addiction worth it. I'm the same addict as you, but now I'm using my time much better than airdrops.
