This process can take some time, and its duration appears to be dependent upon a couple of factors: - Length of time since the Colossuscoin Network was established
- How fast your Internet connection is
- How quickly your computer can process information (processor clock speed, RAM, hard disk access rates)
If you are having trouble with your client syncing slowly you can add permenant nodes to your Collossuscoin.conf file. Your client should find peers automatically, this is incase you are having trouble. If you having sync issues: Windows 7/8: 1) Click Start, type %appdata% and hit enter. 2) Open the Colossuscoin folder, back-up your wallet 3) Download this colossuscoin.conf file www.colossuscoin.org/colossuscoin.conf4) Paste or replace the colossuscoin.conf file in your Colossuscoin folder. 5) Start client The application is synchronized when you see a green >check mark< icon replace the spinning 'synch' icon in the lower right-hand corner of the window. Once this appears you'll be ready to use your Colossuscoin wallet to send and receive COL How long will it take for the wallet to sync?

As long as they staking everything should be fine. You can check your stake amount with command line getinfo (help>debug window>console). All coins in the Colossuscoin network collect coin age. Your stake is calculated from this coinage, measured by last transaction, and multiplied with the amount of coin (time * coins). When you keep coins for 15 days minimum age, they are old enough to start the minting process and you can mint 0.5% of your input. If you transfer coins into your Colossuscoin Wallet, it will also take at least the minimum age of 15 days for them to produce stake. The maximum age a coin can have is 30 days, after this the coin does not age further. When a block is minted, your new coins will be unspendable for a period of 70 blocks. To put it in a nutshell--> Colossuscoin Stake Age: 15 Min Days /30 Max Days/ 0.5% Staking-Reward. Thx for your reply. So that's normal that all of my coins are in the stake and not in the balance? What happens when the stake is finished? Doesn't a new one begin? And how much time does it take per block?

Staked coins must wait 70 blocks before they can return to balance and be spent. When you generated this proof-of-stake block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, it will change to "not accepted" and not be a valid stake- once your CPU computes the Stake it will release it out of Stake and you will gain Interest on that full amount. I have a problem with my wallet. It stakes well but when I want to send a coin, it is refused because my balance=0. How do you do to move an amount of coins from staking to "available"?

I will talk to maxpower who has compiled the Colossuscoin Mac OS X wallet and get back to you. If you leave the wallet open on your Mac, it should start to connect to Colossuscoin network nodes and then synchronize with the block chain. If that doesn't work, please check your Colossuscoin.conf file. This should be at the following location: Mac OSX - /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Colossuscoin/colossuscoin.conf What's wrong with the Mac Wallet? It won't sync at all  0 connections. help? |
