You're presuming that women dress to provoke/attract/please men. Here's a thought, they dress for themselves, because they like to feel nice, to feel attractive. We don't need to teach women how to not dress provocatively, we need to teach men how not to rape women. Radical, I know, but we live in 2016, we no longer have to cover up piano legs in case they arouse men, people are responsible for their own actions.

For a start, women can wear what they want, they are NOT responsible for men raping them, the men themselves are and it is the men who need to change their behavior.
Women are perfectly capable of making good decisions, yes, they are typically more likely to be pro-immigrant, but men are more lijkely to cause the wars that result in refugees.
And actually, Sweden have restricted their asylum laws quite substantially in the last year, so make sure your facts are correct.
This thread makes me worry for our future and for the future of your wives/daughters/sisters.

I really liked It Follows, there was something really unnerving about it, something very everyday. Those are the best kind, for me anyway, not the slasher ones with lots of blood but the quietly sinister films. I watched the visit recently, and that was okay.
And some of the old ones are great, the Haunting, based on the Shirley Jackson book is brilliant, in fact any of Shirley Jackson's stories are chilling. And you should also look at 'Whistle and I'll come to you', an M.R.James story that was made into a drama in 1968, look for it on youtube.

I think it's really hard to prove and people believe what they want to believe and are really susceptible.
At my grandparents house once I saw someone at the top of the stairs in a big hat, from around the 1920s. The figure was very clear and I know what I saw but then there were photographs of my great grandmother so maybe it was just that and I was tired etc. I'll never know. I really like hearing ghost stories and try to keep an open mind but am also aware that it's an inherent part of human nature to look for meaning that isn't necessarily there. But that's maybe drifting into the atheist discussion going on in another part of the forum...Wink

For myself, I have never used such services, as it easier for me to compose a text myself. However, I know many ppl who do this. Sometimes it makes sense to me - there are classes and tasks that are time-consuming but senseless. Like if u have to write some topics and classes that u don't like and that u'll probably not need in ur professional life. This allows u no invest more time in other things that are more relevant to ur future profession. So... If this service is in demand, ppl need it. But for myself, I wouldn't use it.

There seem to be lots of these companies around so the demand is obviously there. I personally would feel guilty if it wasn't my own work, it would take the shine off my good marks. But then I suppose if you're never going to have to use those essay writing skills in the future then why waste your time trying to perfect them when you can get someone else to do it, its learning to delegate I suppose Wink

I've always been blown away by Park-Chan Wook's films. Even his English-language film Stoker is stunningly beautiful.

This is really interesting, and he makes some good points. But it's hard to take this kind of thing seriously from someone who refuses to trwat gay people like humans.

Hey guys, Not really related to BTC, but I was wondering of I could get some advice.

I need to set up a site for a friend who barely knows how to turn a computer on. So I need something basic enough that I can set it up, and not have to monitor every little thing that happens. I was thinking about giving http://website.1and1.com/free-website-builder a go, as it looks pretty novice-friendly. Has anyone else here had a similar experience?

Thanks.

LCD Soundsystem - Drunk Girls (This guy used to be a bouncer in that Trenton, NJ club)

Love LCD Soundsystem! Have you seen Shut Up and Play the Hits? Great doc about their last gig.

Was listening to the Bronx earlier, now onto Grimes. Visions was one of my favorite albums last year.

The biggest problem with Athiesm is that Richard Dawkins gives it a bad name.

Buy Sealand and run your own anarchy.

That's what I thought of when I saw this post. Who owns Sealand nowadays?

Also: "Time Out of Joint", by the great Philip K. Dick.

Yeah, anything by Philip K. Dick tops these films.

Moon by Duncan Jones was a surprisingly interesting and deep sci-fi movie.

The Matrix got most of it's ideas/style from a comic called the Invisibles. Well worth a read (warning, it's all kinds of trippy)
