1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus [NXS] - The TAO Framework Tritium, Amine, and Obsidian on: June 06, 2019, 02:26:32 AM
OK, so after getting a new Qt wallet and synch last night I saw this:

Address-
2RunTvanB6sdauWR5R2g54yWUskAgbUuSYz9EyJ85sUWBK5VZYD  on 04/1/2019

The previous version showed what was what I thought was in there prior to running this one
over night.
This morning I had zero coins. I ran it again today and the same thing occurred showing this amount

1126304.704436 as a Trust type <---> and 0 coins showing.

Not sure what happened. Is this from the hack?

Am I shot outta luck here?
(Have a screen shot, but couldn't get it to load.)

Can anyone point me to a source to figure out why I'm getting-

ADL_Adapter_ID_Get Failed. Error -5

when I start the skminer.bat?
Been trying to get various .conf to work and got to the point where this has me in knots.

Thanks g, I tried the Disc a while back and it wouldn't take my phone number as legit, so I blew it off.
I've just resigned myself to searching anywhere I can get a few tips, try them and then make adjustments.
Have had bad luck with mining and the nodes I've opened and let run for days have never netted me a coin 1.
So, I'm a bit jaded at this point and will wait to sell all my coins when I reach a benchmark. Then, I'm out.

Look in the claymore directory for the last *.txt or log file, I forget. That should tell you more on the mining side.

I believe it's 11.2

(I just looked again at CMD line and see a "No ASM binary found for GPU 0" in red. Is that
the problem?)

Hello,
I am synching my wallet and trying to get my AMD R7 250 set for mining.
After setting up Claymore I am showing connection to pool, but ZERO H/s.
Tried for 15 mins and no go.
Where should I look first?
Wait for synch to complete?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][COAL] BitCoal - MANDATORY UPDATE - CPU/GPU MINING - CRYPTONIGHT on: March 26, 2018, 04:26:42 PM
Here's hoping I can do what I think needs to be done-
I was mining thru the Coal wallet back in Dec.
I stopped over the holidays and then went back to it after the first of the year.
Discovered I lost my PW.

Opened a second instance of the wallet and started mining.
Stopped it for awhile, then discovered where I put my PW for the first installation. The original is now syncing.

Can I combine the 2 with the .dat file of 1 and transfer coins from address to address?
In what order if so?

(sorry guys, tried to use Discord for this, but it would not accept my phone number for some reason)

This is pretty cool. I think Nexus is the first cryptocurrency to actually improve an existing internet protocol, the scope of this project just never ceases to amaze me.

Great! Fantastic! Farout!
Now if we can just keep it in the top 100 of all coins, let alone the top 20.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come on: March 06, 2018, 12:26:28 AM
Good news! I was able to cancel my tx on Bitt that left my NXS coins in limbo.
They are in the QT 4.8.6 wallet now.

It wasn't a great number of coins by any stretch, but was thinking they were in outer space  Grin
Now I am wondering if I need to go ahead and
dl the Oracle Wallet and stake them.

Am I correct in that the QT wallet doesn't provision for staking?

If so, how do I make the transition?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come on: February 16, 2018, 03:02:40 PM
Nexus wallet takes to much time to load and consumes to much cpu power for now. Because of that i will hold my coins on exchanges exposing myself to possible hacks at those exchanges. Damn. Waiting for better solution.

Yeah, with nothing else running it uses 17-18% of CPU on mine. I run 24/7 anyway, so power is not a draw back. May start GPU mining again, though.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come on: February 14, 2018, 11:31:45 PM
Man, do I feel stupid or what.
I copied my LSK addy to move some coin off of Bittrex to wallet.
Went back in Bitt after tx complete and sent NXS coins to (I thought) my NXS wallet.

Only problem was I hit paste from Clipboard and since the LSK addy was the last thing there,
they went into space. Maybe it'll bounce around the sats and some alien will find em and go-
"WTF is this?". lol

Thankfully it was a small amount or I'd be more bummed than I am.
Good lesson for future tx, though, so there's that.
Will still keep wallet open on task bar, and find some extra fiat to buy back, too.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GoldCoin™ (GLD) Thread - The Gold Standard of Digital Currency [OFFICIAL THREAD] on: January 15, 2018, 04:26:59 PM
Can any of you expert GLD miners answer a couple of ? Am trying to immerse myself in the machinations of mining and am learning a lot, but still am not certain of some things.

I have been GPU mining on a low end rig on 2 diff pools now for nearly a week. Getting around 275 H/s and I finally saw where I have a pending payout of 0.7 GLD this morning from the latest one. That is after 2 days on it. The first showed zip after 4+ days.

I have CPU mined another coin that is 1/5 the market cap and about 10% of the circulating supply of GLD and have received over 10 coins in my wallet. Nearly identical in price. Same time frame.

I opened a GLD node and have been running it steady since about 36 hours and last I checked see block 43440/43894 as accepted. (I guess that means about a 10% rejection rate?)

So, I guess my questions are:
1. Is there any flag that I can append to my node conf that will enable me to mine from there and forgo the pool? Or,
2. If I would be better off with going to another coin to GPU mine, take some extra receipts with it and  then buy GLD on an exchange?
(Power consumption is an issue here as well)

I don't expect to be hand held with this, just need some direction on what's going on so I can decide how best to use resources.
Advice?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come on: January 13, 2018, 01:56:01 AM
Congrats to the HODLrs. I sold 22 units I had since end of July because it didn't seem to be doing much.
I will buy in for more, soon, as the trades I made from the profit allowed me to gain what I would have made if I didn't sell.
If that makes sense.
So, I guess my tale is that if you take a profit - don't spend it, buy another position and churn. Cryptos are going to around a looong time.

Are you certain of addy? Can't get a "Send" button to light up from wallet. I'll keep tryin.

(What a shitty forum. Only 2 PM per day unless you BUY a membership? And there is no place to find that info? SMF-  I guess I should be SMFH over not Simple Machines)

'buy a membership!'!? are you talking about here on bitcointalk? u cant buy membership. the reason noob accounts are restricted is because of the massive amounts of scam/spam posts/dm's by noobs, its VERY necessary for the safety of everyone here!!

Yep, I sent you a PM that may or may not have arrived yet. Then I tried to send another and here's what I got back:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=180546
So, the Copper membership is just a scam?
Oh, if I try to post one behind this, will I have to wait an hour again???

Hit me up, if yes Smiley

Hey guys,

what's in the works for bitcoal? Mining for everyone with a laptop - this could be huge right? I'm abit of a newbie so could be wrong but apart from electroneum which is not really mining and more of like an external distribution of rewards for everyone who clicks mine on their mobile, this is new?! Also with the feature development and right marketing, could be huge.

This could seriously go somewhere in my opinion but this thread and twitter ac seems quite quiet. Sorry to go on, but I'm curious as to what's coming down the line with bitcoal.

Cheers.

Yah, we can hope. Prob is that the only exchange is in NZ and they aren't allowing US residents to register. Website won't allow view other than a look at the ticker. Hopefully it will get listed on one that will.
