Whatever you choose to do, you need to make the miners stop du mping it and crashing the price!   Will you need to spork it?  Make it so that all newly mined BitCoal coins have to be held for one full year until they can be unlocked and du mpt upon the buying public.  BitCoal needs to be pu mpt to the Muun, and the people who bought it on Cryptopia should be rewarded.  The miners should not be able to make money just by getting free coins and destroying the value for people who really buy and hold them.
The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

What's the go with the lack of investment in this coin? There are other coins out there with max supplies in the billions and they have hundreds of millions of dollars invested in them but are so diluted due to the high amount of coins that they are never going to bring in great returns. Bitcoal has a very low max supply but little interest in it.

Are there any masternodes for Bitcoal or are they going to be introduced?

Thats a good question. Personally I got good faith in this coin, im sure the price will go up once the market goes up again.
The limited supply also is great valuewize.

Really doubt there will be introduced masternodes for this coin, I guess we / the people, need to be more active posting about this investment opportunity.
Considering its nearing 500.000 mined blocks, it just shows how great this coin is / how stable the network is!

Yes, this thread needs to be more active alright and I don't understand why everyone isn't investing not only in Bitcoal but any other coin as the value of coins right now is at rock bottom. All I can think of is, too many jumped on the bandwagon at the end of last year when prices were high and they either borrowed money or put more then they could afford into already elevated coins and lost a heap of money so they don't have any more left to put into coins now because now is the time to buy but no one seems to be doing it. I am!

I've been watching Bitcoal and noticed that the circulating supply hasn't changed at all in the last month even though there has been mining going on each day. Does anyone know how often Coin Market Cap update their coin supply stats?

I Agree, I think with the current market and all the FUD lately with Crypto people are hesitant to invest like they were late December/ early January. You can see this with the majority of the Alt coins stagnating lately. I think once the market starts to recover and confident builds again this will be one of the better coins to invest in. I just don't think its something that will happen overnight. A bit more hype and being released on some more exchanges will do wonders for COAL too!

Here's hoping I can do what I think needs to be done-
I was mining thru the Coal wallet back in Dec.
I stopped over the holidays and then went back to it after the first of the year.
Discovered I lost my PW.

Opened a second instance of the wallet and started mining.
Stopped it for awhile, then discovered where I put my PW for the first installation. The original is now syncing.

Can I combine the 2 with the .dat file of 1 and transfer coins from address to address?
In what order if so?

(sorry guys, tried to use Discord for this, but it would not accept my phone number for some reason)

Is there any active development going on with this project?  The website redesign was done really well.  Doesn't look like anything has been touched in Github in a while Sad

I'd like to know that too as this coin has so much potential. The lack of participation in this thread is a worry.

Looks like there isn't much happening but at the end of the day as long as this coin is still around when the next rush happens, you could make some fat bank if you buy some coins now at rock bottom prices. When people see the price of any coin going up rapidly they get a bad case of FOMO and start to pile on.

Is there something wrong with the Democats mining pool? My balance hasn't moved in days. Are there any other Bitcoal mining pools having issues?

I pointed my miners to,
http://coal.mypool.online/#
until democats resolves payout problem.
I have gotten no twitter replys, after several tweets.
I have no other contact info for them.
