Nothing wrong with beermat maths, I bet over the years, many a British bridge or car or building has been created on the back of a beermat!

April 12 becomes pure POS?
No, it's within the next 36-40 hours, we're ahead of schedule because the minting hash power wasn't taken into account. really? then we will see a surge of Mintpal Well if the 3sat sell wall can be eaten and we can get the word out that POW is 1zeit/block then yeah, we might start seeing some movement. Personally, I'd start buying more now while they're cheap. It's what I plan on doing over the weekend. [Edit] Lion, I miss read his original question but yeah, POW doesn't end, just drops to 1Zeit/block. Are you in front of you wallet? If so, what's the current block number? Now it`s on 117249 Thanks Ponch. So at block 120960 we drop to 1/Zeit. Currently 117249 3711 blocks to go. 30 seconds/block 3711/120 = 31 hours So about 8pm [gmt] tomorrow we should drop to 1/zeit per block.

hello, cryptohymen here... I am happy to chip in several bitcoin to try and take down the 3 sat wall on mintpal, as soon as pow ends. hopefully, we can work together as a community and give it a good shove. cheer) Welcome aboard. POW should be over within the next 2 days so it won't be long now. I'm not on my computer with my wallet running, so if someone could do a getinfo we ccan work it out a little more accuratly with the block latest block number.

At least 2-3 days. when we know exactly when I will post the launch date.
I know you're completely re-writing the code to move it onto X11, but have you thought of also changing it to POS? There are no X11/POS coins out there at the moment, and POS is really popular at the moment (Look at Black Coin, it was hanging around 500 satoshi and then jumped up to 7000+ satoshi once POS kicked in. Just my 2cents

I'm mining Hiro for the next few days, I had heard some things about the Insta-mine, but as I won't be bag holding it, I'm not too fussed, it's a nice earner and the price fluctuates a lot say to say on Mintpal so you can make a few more if you have some balls. I'm moving onto GIVE coin when it launches next week. Looks like it could be a fair launch, it's X11 and it has some good ideas. The only thing it's missing is POS (who am I kidding, I'll mine it and dump it, need me more Zeit!) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=529181

is there any way to tell with getinfo when i am due to start minting proof of stake coins?
also how many proof of stake coins will be mined per day approx?
Not with getinfo, but if you go to your transaction tabs you can work out how old your oldest coins are and work out when you are due to start minting. For example, my first coins in were March 15th @18:23, so as of 18:23 tonight, my oldest coins will be 20 days and within the next 24 hours, I should see coins move to stake and I'll start minting. By the way, the coins work on a "first in, first out" system. I've seen this question asked many times but this is the first time I've seen it answered. Is that really how it works guys? So if I were to have say 2 deposits for 1m each then i were to remove 500k, the 500k would come from the first deposit rather than the second? Man that's disappointing to hear. Wrong. That's how Mint works and to my knowledge, all POS coins currently work like that (correct me if I'm wrong guys) and yeah, it's disappointing. I'm not a coder in the slightest, and have no idea how much work it would be to the source, but could the POS code be changed to be "first in, last out"? It might make this coin stronger and more people would be likely to hold the coin in their wallets minting.

I refuse to get excited till i see a dent in that 3 sat wall on Mintpal.
So you didn't see the screen grab qberty posted yesterday of his BTC wallet of 24 BTC that he's putting together to eat that 3sat wall? He already ate up 8 BTC (417million Zeit) a few days ago. I'd like it to stay low enough that when Blitz goes (way) up, I can cash out and pick up some more Zeit, but what will be will be. No Sir I didn't until now , interesting time ahead hopefully - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=487814.msg6032069#msg6032069Yeah that's the one. Took a few of us by surprise. Hoping to get some news of the buy in the next few days, so buy while you can get them cheap!

Those of you who mine X11 with 1% CPU, which coin are you mining? I only tried darkcoin with 26% CPU but I think there may be differences between coins. My cpu is a Phenom X4 970 with 125W, so it is not OK for me unless it is in power saving mode.
OK mystery solved! I updated to the latest miner and now I get 1% Now the question is, which X11 coin do you think is more profitable to mine? I'm on Hiro and have mined a decent amount, but I've made a decent amount just on the peaks and dips on Mintpal. Turned 1k into 1.6k just today. Check the 24 hour graph.

I'm mining Hiro and it's a lot less than your's at 26%. Give Hiro a quick go and see if it drops, it might just be DRK (although Hiro works on the DRK kernel so it should be pretty similar)

For those of you mining X11 coins, after a quick test, it turns out CGWatcher works fine with SGMiner and X11 coins

Bittrex Exchange have contacted me yesterday to tell me that they're planning on listing Givecoin on their exchange on the first day of launching Givecoin! Also, They intend on throwing a Big Giveaway promotion with the 250,000 Givecoin bounty they receive during the first week of the launch!!
Good news! I've been using Bittrex recently, looks like a good solid exchange. Will be moving my miners on to this from launch, how much notice will you give before launch?
