3  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 2 x 5970 Miner 1.4 Ghash/s - Houston, TX on: February 14, 2012, 08:49:30 PM
I am moving soon to the Middle East.  Free electricity, but I may overrun the AC in my apartment.  I am moving in about 3 weeks.  Looking to sell some mining equipment before I leave.

I am in Houston, Texas and would prefer to sell it locally.

Miner Specs

Powercolor 5970 - 770/300 clocks
Diamond 5970 - 770/300 clocks
1000w Silverstone Single Rail 80+ PSU
30gb Kingston SSD (Mobo had issues booting to USB drive automatically) (Ubuntu 11.04 installed)
Intel D975XBXLKR Mobo
Pentium D (dual core, not sure which one)
2 GB DDR2
Antec 300 case (drive bay hardware removed)
Cooler Master TX-3 cpu cooler (did not have a stock 775 cooler, best value)
4x antec tricool 120mm fans
1x antec tricool 140mm fans

It is currently using Ubuntu and poclbm.  If you want me to configure it with your pool's user name/password before the handoff I can.

5  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 2 Ghash/s Rig - Watercooled 3x 5970 - Texas on: February 11, 2012, 02:23:32 AM
Just in case you are wondering what it's capable of at 950/300, here is a picture.  I had them overvolted and overclocked when prices were over $10.  When prices dropped, I went back to stock voltages.  A warning though, that overclock did require a second PSU though.

When I updated to POCLBM from phoenix when they added pool roll over, I think it went to 425 Mhash/s per GPU, but i don't have any pictures of that.

8  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: [WTS] 2 x 5970, 7 x 5970 stock cooler, and 1 x 5870 stock cooler Heatsink Fan on: February 10, 2012, 04:55:09 PM
These two cards are being pulled from computers,  one was sitting in my media/mining/backup gaming PC, and the other is being pulled from a gaming system I have for sale locally.  If you have a high powered Nvidia card I will consider trade or partial trade, nvidia card + cash.

There are only 2 5970s for sale.

The 7 others are just the stock cooler.
10  Other / Obsolete (selling) / [CLOSED] on: February 10, 2012, 05:30:06 AM
I have 2 5970s (one diamond and one powercolor) that are currently in computers, one is in my media PC, and another is in a gaming PC.  I still have the boxes they came in, I have owned them for about 9 months.  I also have 7 5970s reference design coolers and 1 5870 reference design cooler.  These are all in very good condition with the exception of the Gigabyte one, it works but the fan has some resistance.  All the other heatsink fan combos freespin and work like new.  These were all removed to install waterblocks.  I am moving overseas in a week and need to sell all this stuff.

I am located in Houston Texas.  I prefer to deal locally face to face and will accept cash or bitcoin.  Make an offer, as I do not know what these are really worth.  I thought most interest in these cards died when prices dropped.

The fans on the two 5970s are fine, but if you buy one you will have first dibs on the replacement heatsink/fans.

I also have a 3 x 5970 water cooled rig for sale in a separate thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=63300.0

The only time you should not parallel your blocks is when they are different, like a 5870 and 5970 tri fire setup.

It's a Magicool 720 Hexa Radiator.  I have one new and unopened if you are interested.  Everything has to go, I am moving in a week if my residency visa comes through.

16  Economy / Goods / [WTS] 2 Ghash/s Rig - Watercooled 3x 5970 - Texas [CLOSED] on: February 09, 2012, 11:52:49 PM
My move date has been pushed back 3 weeks.  I now have 3 more weeks to figure out what to do with this rig.  I may part it out to get the most out of it.  If I decide to ship it I will relist it under a new thread.

Looking to sell a water cooled mining rig.  I am moving overseas next month, and cannot take my big 4u mining rig with me.  It has a rosewill 4u server case, 3x 5970s with danger den blocks in parrallel, 2x koolance pmp-400s for redundancy and added reliability with XSPC dual top, 240mm x 360mm radiator, OCZ 1250watt 80+ gold PSU, Sempron 140, MSI 890FXA-GD70, 2GB Ram, 8 GB USB Drive, Linux Ubuntu 11.04.

Currenly getting 2GHash/s with clocks flashed to 770/300 with stock voltages.  It can be taken higher but you may need another power supply.  The best part is that it is much quieter than the squirrel cage stock fans.  The temperatures never get over 42°C with 80°F ambient temperatures.

I am in Houston, Texas and would like to deal face to face in cash or BTC.

It is currently using Ubuntu and poclbm.  If you want me to configure it with your pool's user name/password before the handoff I can.

Looking to get $1200 or best offer.
