hi everybody!

since three days i'm using my nvidia 295 gtx for mining.
overall it calculates between 60 and 120 MH/sec. (i don't know why it drops down sometimes...)
but 100MH/sec is much to low for me...

so i'm thinking to buy a pc only for mining! (in august)

cpu: intel core i3-2100                                         95€                              65W
mb: ASUS P8P67 WS Revolution Rev 3.0              207€
graca: 4*Sapphire Radeon HD 5870                     155€ each                    188W each
ram: g.skill 8gb ddr3-1333                                   51€
power: Xilence Modular Series 1200W                  150€

TOTAL: 1123€

the system should calculate 1600MH/sec.
using http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator.php
it sould "produce" 85$ per day. ~60€ (i estimate with 30$ per BTC)
so in one month: $2,586.87 ~ 1800 €
if i calculate the fees and so on i estimate about 1200€ per month.

my adwantage is, that i don't have to pay for the needed powerusage Smiley

what do you think about this systhem?
is my calculation right?

does somebody know why the btc/$ rate decrease so much yesterday?

best regards
mooks

pp: sorry for my bad english

hardware is fine, but your estimate is wrong. Difficulty will increase by 60% in just 3 days. So your $85/day becomes something like $50 per day, and then there's the market crash, but if you value BTC at $30, that's up to you.

thx!

yes i know that the value decreased (also wrote that...) i'm just optimistic Wink
ok 60% is really much... also if i estimate that the value is rising it won't compensate the rising difficulty...

i'm still waiting so lets see how the course is changing Smiley

The only thing you're optimistic about is finding 4 5870's Smiley  Good luck with that.

You can find some, but not at 155 euros. More like at 200+ euros. Still worth it in my opinion, its a very good card, but your stimations are way off. You are going to make a lot less money than you expect.
