1  Economy / Lending / Re: made a stupid move selling Bitcoins on eBay on: October 12, 2013, 04:37:35 PM
Selling on eBay, selling *anything* on eBay, is plain stupid unless you have so a high volume to cover the inevitable losses you will get.
If you sell rarely, variance might kill you, like it did here.

Just out of curiosity: did you know about the risks involved and you did it anyway, of somehow you managed to elude this quite pervasive information?

Actually, no.

I was sucked into the profits like many other naive sellers, only to "learn" the cost of selling BTC on eBay later. Money has an effect on all of us.

No.  A newbie like you will not get a loan, especially to that extent.
Also, I 'm just curious, provide us a screenshot of your paypal and the chargeback, because I'm not into believing you.

You're selling 16 BTC here apparently, or maybe it's just to increase your post count.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=307438.msg3297212#msg3297212

Well, the 16BTC sale did not go through.

Well, the PP reversals only play a small part in my ebay fees.

The fucker that dropped the $350 fee on me bought the following item via best offer then backed out and said that he wasn't purchasing the item. (Yeah, you just did because I accepted your Best Offer.):

3  Economy / Lending / made a stupid move selling Bitcoins on eBay on: October 12, 2013, 10:09:38 AM
I was selling Bitcoins on eBay (stupid move) and I had reversals. Would there be any problem loaning me 3.1BTC with half of it paid in one month (mid November) and the other half after Christmas? I have no money to pay the fees (I am living at home) and have no credit thus I cannot get a traditional loan. I'll pay 4 back totally. 2 by mid November and the other 2 after Christmas. I have no money for collateral. However I am willing to provide a photo of my ID.

Please help me,
Bitfiniti.

Do you mean you want to buy tweets?

What does "I am selling" mean to you? That I'm buying? I'm selling them.

9  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Bitcoin Earning Method. on: October 10, 2013, 08:41:07 PM
Wow, that's so great!  I'll take 3 copies because I'm here to make money.
Seriously.  You are asking for $60 WITHOUT ANY proof, sneak peak, and you are a newbie.  PLEASE don't tell me your idea is like a faucet, or game, those are already taken.  Giveaways too.

Nope. Not a faucet. In fact, with my method, you'll earn more the more Bitcoins you start out with. Need a review copy? Updated my post to have a "sneak peak".
10  Economy / Digital goods / Bitcoin Earning Method. on: October 10, 2013, 07:49:33 PM
I have discovered a new way to earn Bitcoins. It doesn't involve mining, it doesn't involve selling. You can do this method any time you.

What it does involve is trading in a way you haven't thought of yet.

Sale Price (First 10 Sales): 0.20. PM me if your interested.
11  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Need funding for my new Bitcoin game. on: October 10, 2013, 04:45:29 AM
I need around 9 BTC for my Bitcoin game. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=308627.0).

Approx 6 of the BTC will be used for player funds, or the "starting net". The other 3 will be used for project development. If you fund my game, you'll get 50% of the monthly income it generates. Ex: The game generates 1.5 BTC in pure profit, you'll get 0.75 BTC. However, with more players playing, the possibility for even more income will rise.

I'm launching Farkle this weekend, so let's get down to business.

So are you looking for a loan, or a partnership?

Loan while I have coins owed and partnership after I fully repay, with terms of six months.

Ok then, you'll need to provide about $1,500 worth of collateral before anyone will take you seriously.

Would a partnership require the same?

14  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BitcoinWiFi Hotspot - Ready for Production, and Shipping Worldwide to customers on: October 10, 2013, 01:09:35 AM
A project I have been working on in my spare time is now complete!

BitcoinWiFi Hotspot

Introduction

1. User connect to “BitcoinWiFi” and by visiting a website, brings them to a captive portal where it displays. Pay (defined by the operator) Bitcoin for 24 hour, 5 days or 1 month access.

2. User can easily pay by pre-generated QR code or Bitcoin URI. Bitcoin connections on port 8333 is always open, and access are granted to the most popular hosted wallets.

3. To generate QR codes and Bitcoin URIs, the operator can define Invoice API key of their payment gateway in the settings of the BitcoinWiFi unit.

4. The unit features a captive portal, a small web server. By parsing the blockchain for payments the unit opens the internet connection for paying users in real-time.

5. The operator have the possibility of receiving the payment directly to their bank account in local currency via the payment processor or keep payments in Bitcoin.

http://BitcoinWiFi.me/

Customizable and Open source – The BitcoinWiFi unit can be converted and refurbished to an mini-PC by replacing BitcoinWiFi open source firmware with custom firmware.

Responsive web design - The Captive Portal is built with responsive web design, providing a seamless experience for mobile users as well.

Return on investment is not guaranteed, but if you set it up in a crowded place, one can only imagine?

If you think you can help with this project, please get in touch with me.

Awesome project. Even more awesome(er) that it accepts Bitcoin.
15  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin Game: Farkle on: October 09, 2013, 11:01:24 PM
Presenting Farkle! Farkle is a re-imagining of Blimplay's "Farkle" game. Years ago, there was a website called "moola.com" where developers could integrate Moola's Points API. Blimplay was one of those integration's. However, due to Moola not paying it's members, Moola closed, and thus, caused it's Third Parties to close.

In September, I decided to bring one of my favorite games back to life. I'm releasing the Alpha version, where the game works but the Bitcoin integration doesn't. This is a very fun, yet addictive game. It's available for OS X, Linux, and Windows thanks to Xojo. The Mac version may be in a .tar folder though I'm not sure

Alpha Download:

Thanks for playing,

Trade on #bitcoin-otc, set up an OTC account, and post lots in the forums. Basically, the two components of building up trust are establishing relationships (through trading and discussions here), and time (which you can't really get around). The longer you are on here talking and letting people learn about you, the more developed your trust and reputation (whether that's a good or a bad reputation). Meet some people, make some friends, and establish some networks. Also LinkedIn can help somewhat.

Good advice. Thanks for telling me about #bitcoin-otc.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I would like to start building trust. on: October 07, 2013, 07:42:26 PM
Most people who aggressively attempt to build trust are scammers which makes it difficult for honest new users to quickly gain trust. My suggestion is just to use the forum as you would normally and let your reputation build on its own.

Good luck!
I second this. Don't even think about doing reputation loans. Nobody believes those.

Alright. Thanks for the advice.
