Guys!

We need to win the Binance vote!

I have prepared a ready to go shoutout on Steemit and Medium, where I explain to people why they should vote and what they need to do:
https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@billionairepal/how-to-quickly-double-or-tripple-the-value-of-your-byteball-bytes-stash

https://medium.com/@BillionairePal/how-to-quickly-double-or-tripple-the-value-of-your-byteball-bytes-stash-ba8e3d31b04e

Please push it on your Social Media profiles! We need to make it happen!

It has a clickbity title "How To Quickly Double or Tripple the Value of Your Byteball Bytes Stash" and it will attract attention.

Thanx in advance!

When will the next distribution to GBYTE holders exactly happen? Full moon of march?

And how many airdrop rounds have you planned? I have already stored all my Bytes in a local wallet.

There's no more distributions in the old fashioned way. Tony has announced a new method, everybody can participate

https://medium.com/byteball/distribution-to-verified-users-and-referrals-ed00b9b2a30e

Nope. I guess there will be at least one more, on march 2nd:

Recently, Bittrex's Byteball wallet was under "automated maintainance". First, two day long.
Then, it was open for half a day and I was able to withdraw some funds.
And since then it is under "automated maintainance" again.
Anybody has an idea what is going on?

Brilliant! But I would change it slightly for more convenience and program logic where no UniqueID is required (why reveal privacy to somebody who doesn't need it!):
  • Person B starts the verification process. At some point the bot asks whether he wants to pay it from his funds or ask somebody else to pay for him. Person B has the option to enter somebody else's address (of person A, old user). If the address is not single address wallet, the user gets info, it's not possible and can enter another address. Possibly he could enter a list of addresses he would like to offer the deal to.
  • Person A gets notified in the client to pay the fee on behalf of person B and is offered to verify with Jumio if he hasn't yet.
  • Person A makes the payment (which makes him the referrer), with the guarantee the $8 are being used to pay Jumio if he is verified himself. He can still do it without verification just to help others.
  • Person B gets the verification link and finishes the process

This way you can post your verified address publicly and invite people to earn money, or send a mailing and describe the deal... and the snowball effect starts! EASY! This would give a true PayPal effect...

Then people could set up self-perpetuating funds (like on this forum, a fb group, reddit, wherever) and it would be a VERY ATTRACTIVE model also for the exchanges to use this to generate more revenue... And the price of Byteball would grow accordingly, so it could turn into a never ending story...

BTW: there should be also a way to generate deeplinks into the bot (Google Fire) with your address as referal to automate this process and just send people invitation links, and then the bot recognizes it and makes it for people really easy without asking any questions about payment. Just informing people: "The fee of $8 will be paid by your referer... Say thanx to him" Smiley
The link that you as old user would post would look like: http://byteballwallet.hdgll.heiwe/verify/ref/0ASe.....E3 or whatever your byteball addrress.

Then, also download/installation referer links could be offered to install the byteball wallet:
http://install.byteball.org/install/ref/0ASe.....E3 or whatever your byteball addrress
This would install a wallet with referrer set as your address.
When then the user wants to later verify, you will be offered to pay for verification (but the user will have also the choice to pay himself or ask somebody else to pay for him).

You could send out these links out of your wallet automatically like you do with textcoins.
This would be a REALLY EASY no brainer tool for newbies to help grow the community and earn money doing it.
Everybody could do it! No skills required. "Invite your friends to Byteball and earn money"

Byteball user base would explode in size with this tool. And Byteball would become for many the first crypto to get in touch with. Then, when they try other cryptos with their shitty interfaces and slow payments, high fees, they would bring the good experience they made with Byteball into consciousness of the mainstream...

Tony! What do you think?

I am not tony, but would like to attach my thoughts anyway. Basically, I think the proposal is not bad, always interesting to read new ideas.
However, we have to be careful that a "mass advertising" can pollute the "Byteball" or "Bytes" brand (keyword "SpamCoin").
Between fair distributed (Airdrop) and SpamCoin is only a fine line.
Thats why most ICO's perform such actions only together with buybacks (i.a. wcex etc.).
Otherwise there are very negative effects on the perception of the value.

I think Tony is not interested in growth at any price - it's not about creating the fastest growing bubble.
Like the (early) BTC, Byteball is not a coin driven primarily by advertising.

However, I realize that there is a (potentially large) market / need for such applications.
And Byteball should show that it also has efficient solutions in the context of advertising.
In this environment, however, I would advise to use more Blackbytes.
Blackbytes are not as liquid as bytes. The receiver must have bytes to use the black bytes.
Superficially, this is a disadvantage for use in this context.
But it has many positive effects: dumping is not so easy, it is a minimum of know-how necessary ->
The receiver must deal with Byteball (Wallet / Byte / Botstore), so he makes a kind of PoW (POW = value).

In sum, one can achieve such a positive effect without having negative effects on the advertised coin (i.a. Bytes, TC etc.),
at the same time BlackBytes become more popular

Sorry, new users HAVE TO get the best user experience possible with Byteball and Blackbytes are a suboptimal choice to do it. They are just too bulky and can't be restored with the seed key. A no go for newbies.
BTW: I don't think you know what Tony wants. Please don't try to influence the discussion by personal arguments. This doesn't help objective discussion.

Number of users is CRITICAL for every coin. If we get from 10,000 to 100,000 users, the value of Byteball grows by the square, so by 100! And price follows the value in the long run. If we get from 10,000 now to 1,000,000 users, the value will grow by factor 10,000!
It is also CRITICAL for the attractivity of Byteball for merchants to resolve the egg and chicken dilemma. And the linear scaling (by subsidizing it with upto $40) will actually bring more value, than it costs.

Let's say we want to acquire 1,000,000 unique, verified users from the community fund for $40 each ($20 for the user, $20 for the referer). It will cost $40,000,000, out of $200,000,000 in the community chest. But at the same time the value of the network will grow 10,000 fold. If the current market valuation is right. The value of Byteball would grow to $6 TRILLION! Let's assume Byteball is ridiculously overpriced right now and it's real value is only 1% of the market price. Meaning: $6 million. Then the valuation with 1,000,000 users will be $60 billion. Still 100 fold more than the current valuation. and the community chest will grow from $200-$40=$160 million to $16 billion.
So: the value of the chest will grow faster than what is spent for subsidizing new user registration. it is a NO BRAINER!

As a nice side effect: Byteball would become the ONLY crypto with this number of verified users tied directly to the wallet. A precious USP in the crypto jungle!

I envision a button "verify your identity and earn $12" in the wallet inviting for ID verification. After the verification it changes to "invite your friends to Byteball and earn $20". An extremely powerful tool in grassroot marketing. It would capture entire India within months, like Hotmail did.

Tony! What do you think?

I love it!

This is exactly the kind of creative thinking I was hoping to encourage:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.msg28085267#msg28085267

agreed. and there is one step more that we could take:

why bother with sending payments hence and forth?
if the registrant to Jumio provides a verified referer address (or the referer address stored in the wallet is verified at the time of registration) and the user is verified pay Jumio $8 worth of Byteball out of the community fund and then pay $20 to the registrant and $12 to the referer. Mathematically it's the same, but it can be executed immediately during the registration without waiting for the referer to send funds or without him having to have any balance on the account. This would speed up the virality even higher and automate the process. A REAL affiliate program, where the referrer doesn't need to manage payments and has more time to take care of the marketing.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 19, 2018, 08:01:19 AM
I've read people complaining about 2 problems regarding referrals and verified users:
  • When sending someone $8 to refer them, how to be sure they will use that to verify themselves instead of just getting the $8
  • For new users who want to verify their identity, how to easily get/buy $8 worth of GB

I guess it would be possible to modify the bot to add the option to ask someone else to pay the verification fee. For example:
  • Person A (you, me, old user) verifies their identity and gets a unique referrer ID. This can be the device's pairing code or any other unique ID generated by the bot
  • Person A refers person B (a new user) and gives them their unique ID
  • Person B starts the verification process. At some point the bot asks whether the user is being referred by someone. Person B says yes and enters person A's ID
  • The bot asks person A to pay the fee on behalf of person B. Person A's device and the bot are already paired because user A was verified by it.
  • Person A makes the payment (which makes him the referrer), with the guarantee the $8 are being used to pay Jumio .
  • Person B gets the verification link and finishes the process

Now, I guess the bot requires person B to make a transaction in order to see/verify the address. I'm not completely sure about this.
If it does have this requirement, it could be solved in one of 2 ways:
  • Person A makes the payment to person B on a contract so that the funds can only be sent to an already known (Jumio's) address. I don't know whether this is possible at all or if it would be too complex; or
  • The easy way: Jumio requires person A to pay the $8 and person B to send any quantity, regardless of how small. So person A would still send some amount to person B for this but it would be 1 KB or so, just to resend 1 byte plus fees. Person B would have no motivation at all to get those bytes and leave

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 18, 2018, 11:42:30 PM
The new distribution method would be indeed more effective if a new user attempting to verify wouldn't have to come up with 8 USD of byteball first and could be paid from the distribution pool right away without the need of:

1. finding out about Bitttrex/Cryptox/Cryptopia
2. registering on an exchange
3. transferring bitcoin/fiat to the exchange
4. buying at least 8 USD of byteball
5. withdrawing to a wallet
6. and finally geting verified and refunded

The above hassle is too much to make the method effective. I bet that Jumio requires to be paid 8 USD even if the user fails to verify in the end and this makes the verification to be paid from the distribution pool problematic and open to abuse (by Jumio actually or just rogue users). Users could be attempting verification, Jumio would be paid from the distribution pool, verification would fail and no verified user would be added to Byteball.

Add to this that Bittrex doesnt accept new users at the moment. And from Cryptopiaa you cant withdraw Byteball. So it is IMPOSSIBLE for a crypto beginner to come by $8 in Byteball even if he really wants to...
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 18, 2018, 09:58:37 PM

The problem right now for new users, even if they want to give away their identity, is to come by $8 in Byteball. There is simple no way for them to buy Byteball. Bittrex is closed for new registrations and from Cryptopia there is no way to withdraw Byteball.

This can work ONLY if a major Exchange comes by... otherwise the system will starve to death.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 18, 2018, 09:25:51 PM
What stops my audience from just claiming the bytes I send them for verification to keep/sell. I can’t just trust every random internet users to completely expose their identity to something new to them

Absolutely! But! You can send them just 100,000 bytes each Wink
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 18, 2018, 09:47:28 AM

The markets don't echo it yet but they will soon. I still have the hardest time believing this is under 10 million sats right now, like how is that even possible given all the shitcoins rising? Baffles my mind god damn!

What did you expect, if:
- the only exchange with liquidity, where you can trade Byteball (Bittrex) has 0.4 BTC withdrawal limit and they DON'T accept new users
- on the second exchange (Cryptopia) you can't withdraw byteball AT ALL!

So which market exactly do you expect to echo the technical breakthrough? There is NO MARKET that would do that for Byteball right now.

People with deep pockets (like me) just can't put money into byteball without locking them on exchanges or then spending months to withdraw them. New people cant buy and withdraw Byteball at all (no access to Bittrex, no withdrawals on Cryptopia)! They can only get Byteball via free distribution. How do you expect Byteball to gain value then?

Shitcoins get high valuations, because they are smart enough to get listed on Binance, Bithumb or any of the top exchanges.

I swear the team to apply to KuCoin.
This is the fastest growing exchange. No verification, no withdrawal limits. They list 50 coins now and want to add THOUSAND coins this year! If Byteball doesn't manage this, then I have deep doubts about the ability of the team.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 14, 2018, 10:24:03 PM
I think KuCoin would a good and innovative Exchange for a Promotion on a way like this. KuCoin makes Offers and Promotions when she list new coins in the last time. Tonych can contact this Exchange with this Form.

Absolutely! KuCoin is THE FASTEST GROWING crypto exchange and I expect it to get into top 5 within several months. It would be great if they listed Byteball. They have 50 coins and they plan to add 1,000 this year! They have an absolutely disruptive growth model, no verification, no withdrawal limits. Irresistible! Check this out: KuCoin

Tony, Eli, please apply!

Guys!

I have built a BYTEBALL VIDEO FAUCET and I am giving away until END OF 2017 for FREE 5,000,000 bytes for every new Byteball user:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Up5mWozjHhI

This is also a perfect tool to support the growth of Byteball community (and Byteball PRICE!)
Please help me with that!

You can also get free byteball, but even more important:
YOU CAN RAISE THE VALUE OF YOUR BYTEBALL ASSETS by spreading the news about the faucet.
The more users own and transact in Byteball, the more valuable Byteball becomes and it's price rises.
Until now, roughly 500 new users created byteball wallets and joined our community through this campaign.
This is a good way to also reach mainstream adoption of byteball.

So help me promote Byteball and increase your net worth at the same time!

But hurry up! The campaign runs until December 31 only.

Just share the video link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Up5mWozjHhI
with on your Social Media channels with some nice comments like:
"Become a Byteball Millionaire"
"Get 5,000,000 Byteball for free"
or
"First Byteball Faucet"
"Get free Byteball from the Byteball Video Faucet"

You could also post the screenshot of your wallet with the funds you've received like this guy did:
https://twitter.com/benjamim/status/946325369963114496

Thanx so much for making this community great! Let's make things happen!

What do you think of this initiative?

Guys!

Last chance to get 5,000,000 Byteball bytes for free (for 5 more hours):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Up5mWozjHhI&list=PLC3RaajtBhlWNkckJO-H9TmyV8Dde-etG

I have given away roughly $5,000 worth of Byteball already!

Get your free Byteball and
Please also promote the campaign on your social media.
This way you will help grow the byteball community and increase the value of the byteball coins you hold.

One comment though: You say something like "5 medium bytes", it's hard to hear, but it should be 5 megabytes, or 5 million bytes. Automated subtitles say "5 billion bytes 5 minute bible bytes", so it's definitely hard to hear. This may confuse new users.

I noticed that and added captures that say: 5,000,000 bytes per person

I'll gladly help, shared on Facebook already.

Thank you!
