We are on the first map, Overpass. It has been pretty competitive as Heroic are 23-22 ahead now.
NaVi fumbled the bag. Losing their momentum when they failed to secure the first map in overtime despite having the lead during regular time and unable to close the map with 3 round map points. They seemed utterly lost on Ancient, can't get anything going with 1-14 scoreline in the first half. On the other hand, Heroic's incredible endurance on Overpass is a testament to their status as one of the top teams right now. Their performance mirrors Vitality's, who made a stunning comeback from a 1-12 deficit on Vertigo. Such resilience truly showcases the mentality of these top players. The grand final tonight should be very interesting to watch, with both Vitality and Heroic performing near their peak at this tournament.

We can say that it was easy for Vitality to win in the match where Zywoo became the star.He tries to carry his team by passing the 60 kill threshold almost every match.Spinx was the player who helped this time.We can say that F1KU had a terrible performance in the OG team.
Spinx is currently the highest-rated player in the tournament with an impressive 1.41 rating, surpassing Zywoo (1.34) and S1mple (1.32). His peak performance was on full display during the FaZe match, where he racked up 73 kills across two maps against the number two team. If Spinx maintains even a fraction of that performance, Vitality should have no trouble breezing past BIG.

In the other quarterfinal match, we'll see Heroic facing off against the home team, Furia. Although the odds favor Heroic, the match will be played in the Jeunesse Arena, where Furia is likely to gain a significant boost from the Brazilian crowd support. I'm placing a parlay bet for both Vitality and Furia for the IEM Rio quarterfinal matches.

Sportsbet’s BSFL special – claim a 150$ prize with a 0,5 mBTC bet!

Wow, thanks for getting us this opportunity Cro2 team! Winning the Arsenal merch kit would be sweet. In jeremypwr's contest, I chose under 9.5 corners, so I'll hedge my bet here and go with over 9.5 for this entry Cheesy Good luck everyone!

145  Economy / Economics / Re: COIN says regulate but have a rulebook - can help run Business or we leave US! on: April 21, 2023, 05:37:56 AM
Another aspect that I find confusing is how the SEC approved Coinbase's IPO two years ago, yet they seem to be giving them a hard time now. I believe Coinbase's business hasn't changed significantly within those two years, so it's quite puzzling.

Anyway, Brian Armstrong's statement appears to be a prelude to Coinbase launching its new derivatives exchange for the international market. The company recently acquired a license in Bermuda, and sources suggest it could launch as early as next week. This move seems promising to me. There has been a void in the derivatives market since FTX goes down. Given Coinbase's reputable brand and its history of top-notch operation and compliance, it could be a viable alternative to Binance, which currently dominates the international derivatives market. Even if Coinbase's platform fees are higher, I can see reasons why people might prefer it over Binance. I'm personally eager to give it a try.

It's not on the list (yet), but my favorite is bustadice.com

I like the transparency and professionalism demonstrated by the site administrator (devans). No sudden KYC, no shady practices, and keeping it all simple. The fact that they have managed thousands of BTC in investor and customer funds flawlessly over the years speaks volumes about the quality of this website.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it advisable to invest on Solana? on: April 19, 2023, 03:44:17 PM
We can't tell you if it's going to be a good decision, so you need to have your own conviction. What makes you want to buy and hold it for long term?

To provide some perspective, I can share my personal views on Solana. I'm a fan of the chain and use it regularly, particularly for NFT-DeFi applications. Right now I enjoyed lending SOL against NFTs on platforms like sharky.fi and FFF's Citrus to make some passive investments. While its native DeFi space may not be as big as it was during the FTX era (guess all that TVL come from Alameda Cheesy), the NFT ecosystem remains active and thriving. Solana's high TPS and low fees are key unique points that differentiate it from other chains like Ethereum and its L2 solutions. If the dev and foundation continue to improve the chain (no more downtime) and step up their BD/marketing game, it could potentially work well for Solana's long-term prospects.

149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs Competitors: Who will lose Relevance? on: April 19, 2023, 01:37:06 PM
Shanghai upgrade is finally happening, but is it too late?  Will Ethereum even be relevant by the time it finishes upgrading?  Or are they taking too long?

Lots of EVM competitors now:
a)  Polygon zkEVM functionality
b) Cardano now has native EVM
c) Filecoin added VM compatibility

Check out our take, and then reply with feedback of your own:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GO4-cOgo7j4

I believe Ethereum is too far ahead with its first movers advantage and the amount of developers and dapps in use etc. I think the narrative of your post should be the other way around and asking if other altcoins could try and reach close to ethereum.
Indeed. I'd argue that Polygon and Filecoin can maintain their relevance by catering to distinct functionalities and niches. Polygon still has a decent DeFi TVL and actively pursues growth in the NFT market, recently convincing Solana's DeGods to move to their chain. Filecoin team is the same team that builds IPFS I believe, which is widely used today. Cardano, however, I'm amazed to see Cardano still in the top 10 by market cap size. Do people actively use it, and if so, for what purposes?

CS go: The Mongolz vs Heroic, Jabbi got sick and had to leave in the middle of map 2 and was replaced by the veteran Xizt. They were doing fairly well but just couldn't close out overpass to take the match 2-0. Now, we go into map 3 of Mirage. Can Mongolz get an upset on the cards, since Heroic are playing with a stand-in. Should be interesting to see.
Xizt was doing well on paper but I guess they have to adapt some strats, hence the difficulties in closing the map. This must be quite appalling for Heroic -1.5 bettors, they were looking really dominant with Jabbi on the first map.

Another full day with CSGO matches in the IEM Rio 2023. Today Group B is going to play and the lower brackets of Group A will eliminate more teams. The first match will be Vitality against mibr which should be a good win for Vitality. After they lost so close in overtime vs OG, they are not getting eliminate today. The second match will be fnatic vs 9z, which is another one sided match and fnatic should easily win this best of 3 match. A more interesting match is going to be FaZe vs Furia, which is probably the last Brazilian team in the tournament and might get some crowd motivation to win. On paper FaZe is the much stronger team, but since the match is being played in Rio I will make a small bet on the Brazilians. The match NiP vs 9INE I am going to skip as I am not so familiar with the polish team and how strong they really are. Cloud 9 vs OG could be another a great match that could go either way, I will go with Cloud9 here. And then in the last match we have Heroic vs TheMongolz which is the most one sided game of the day and should be won easily by Heroic.
Agree with your prediction here. Vitality and Fnatic should secure comfortable wins and avoid elimination.

I find the odds for the FaZe versus Furia match quite surprising though, with most bookmakers currently heavily favoring FaZe at 1.4. I expect a close match and think it's worth betting on Furia +1.5, especially with Furia playing in their home country. As for 9INE against NIP, I'm going with the underdog here. Their impressive 2-0 upsets over Vitality in the RMR certainly caught my attention, and I'm eager to see what they'll bring against NIP

153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What makes ARB price keep climbing despite occasional drops ? on: April 18, 2023, 01:39:18 PM
What is the secret to ARB's success ? Or simply, why its price keeps steadily climbing ? Please let me know.
The reason is its usage metrics. Arbitrum is the de facto top DeFi chain. It consistently outperforms other L2 chains like Polygon and Optimism in terms of TVL and 24h DEX volume. It's currently sitting at a $2.4B market cap while Polygon, which has lower TVL and activity, is at $10B. That's why people think $ARB is still undervalued and will keep climbing.

It never went to $0.50. It launched and spiked to like $1.50 and then went down to $1.10, probably front running all the buyers at $1 and rallied from there. We hit $1.70 and we might run to $2 this week unless bitcoins and ether stays under the $30K and $2K marks.
That's true, $ARB never reaches $0.5. Also confident we'll hit $2 very soon with the current market condition.

CS: GO live coverage today it was between the Copenhagen Flames VS Team Sampi and right now Copenhagen Flames have 1 point while Sampi is collaborating tactics on how they can manage to get a tie,

LIVE:CCT Central Europe – Group Stage🏆 Online
Don't forget to tune in to IEM Rio as well! It's a tier 1 event, it's likely to attract more attention than CCT Europe.

No surprises or upsets so far in the opening matches of IEM Rio. Both NaVi and NIP easily overcome their opponent in BO1 matches. Quite different results from what we've seen in the Major RMR in the last two weeks where we've witnessed numerous favorites experiencing upsets in their BO1 opening matches. I'm guessing Vitality, C9, Furia, and FaZe to win effortlessly too. The real action is expected to happen in the BO3 matches, especially in the lower bracket elimination matches taking place later today.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: how fast do you earn ETH by staking? on: April 17, 2023, 03:46:43 PM
with 32 ETHs (minimum req-d) ~60000$, how fast do you earn by staking? any rough estimate?
Is it highly variable? Is it competitive?
I am totally pitch black in this.
If you're still in the dark about ETH staking, I highly recommend reading the basics here: https://ethereum.org/en/staking/. Currently, the staking reward stands at 4.9% APR. Although the reward rate fluctuates depending on the number of validators (i.e., the amount of ETH currently staked), it's reasonable to expect that the current figures will remain relatively stable. In my opinion, staking ETH only makes sense if you are bullish on Ethereum; otherwise, the 4.9% APR may not seem appealing.

In other things i received the freebets from the last round, im thinking where im gonna use them.
There goes the R7 free bet, not even close (2-5) Cheesy congrats darxiaomi!

I have never heard of any of these teams and I don't even know how DOTA is played so I'll just wing it.
Yeah its also rumored to be a significant patch, hard to guess how it will impact various teams. I'm just going to place my faith in Liquid and GG continued dominancy.
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: April 13, 2023, 10:01:31 PM
This situation is behind their elimination in the RMR as well. Otherwise they could have at least defeated Aurora today. They had concentration problems at one point again and couldn't prevent an upset by 2-1 at the end.
Yeah must be hard losing 2-1 with two maps going overtime.

Honestly Aurora weren't playing that impressive. They were even making simple mistakes so I can't call their effort well. Eternal Fire just handed over the victory to them.
Kinda expected from a newer team, but gotta give credit to them too for being able to endure that close match with EF. Also, going the full 30 rounds (14-16) against top-tier teams like G2 and Heroic in previous matches is no small accomplishment.

We really see where a team has come from thanks to BNE.These players are all internet cafe players and now they are participating from major to major. How weird is that?
Wow, that's cool! It goes to show that hard work (with some good timing) truly pays off Cheesy

Now I will be waiting for the Turkish representative Eternal Fire to get a ticket from the groups to the major. It won't be easy for Eternal fire either, but I think they are working and preparing well.
Unfortunately, EF lost to NIP. However, the first round proved to be quite eventful, with G2, Spirit, and ENCE all experiencing upsets in their respective BO1 matches. There goes the 3-0 dream for G2 Cheesy C9 and Heroic continue to show strong performances though. I'm hoping the two favorites won't face each other, allowing them both to achieve a 3-0 record in this Swiss round.
