261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 04, 2023, 02:56:22 PM
IEM Katowice 2023 is in full swing already with the main stage happening next weekend. I missed the first rounds of games as I was a bit busy this week with work but will bet on the matches today and tomorrow. The first match will be NaVi vs Cloud9. NaVi is usually one of my favourite teams, but they are struggling bit lately during the Spring Blast I would probably skip the match and focus on the others. G2 vs BiG is a great match for G2, they are a really strong team and should win that match easily.
Same here missed that first round. I thought this week is only for the play-in and the main event is next week. Dang, CSGO really started 2023 in full force. Feel a bit overwhelmed considering Blast Premier Spring Groups just finished last week.

You got your predictions right for that first round, Navi and G2 taking it 2-0.

And in the most one sided match for the day it will be Astralis vs Eyeballers, which is going to be a win for Astralis. Eyeballers is pretty new in the professional esports scene and is not ready for such a strong opponent
I'm kinda shocked, WTF is Astralis doing in a lower-tier online tournament like this and why aren't they in Katowice Grin

Anyway, I'm betting on the favorites again for the 2nd round of Katowice matches today. 1.8 parlay odds, should be easy sweep for Vitality and FaZe. Good luck!

263  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Mungkinkah untuk menambah Sub board lokal? on: February 04, 2023, 02:41:00 PM
Namun, kira-kira kalau sub board baru ternyata benar-benar sepi topik, apakah ada hukuman buat moderator dan member SFI?
Gak ada gan Grin

Sekedar masukan saja.

Title: Trading dan Spekulasi
Description: Diskusi mengenai spekulasi harga Bitcoin and Altcoins
Position: child board dari SF Indonesia
Contoh thread:
- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=903836.0 [DISKUSI] Harga Bitcoin
- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5428635.0 [DISKUSI] Socios.com Fan Token Klub Indonesia - Prediksi & Spekulasi
- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1944914.0 [DISKUSI] Harga Ethereum
- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5054843.0 [DISKUSI] Trading Harian, Mingguan & Bulanan

Thank you!
264  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for February on: February 04, 2023, 12:07:15 PM
It's looking like the bulls are back as we've seen with the more than the 30% rise in BTC's price just for the month of January alone.  But even with that high of a price increase, I still see some folks say that we're still not of the woods yet.  Surely there's some hope that we are out...  What do you guys think?
Hard to be not bullish especially after looking that January monthly candle. That was the highest monthly close for Bitcoin since August last year. I'm leaning on the side that we're pretty safe now and it's one of the best times to start accumulating again. I don't think we will see new lows (below $15k), as most of the negative developments have already occurred, although we may see some fluctuations and a bit of volatility in the $20k range.

Again, it's always not a wise decision to go all-in or create a leveraged long position even now, but buying spot is very attractive at current market prices IMO.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I liked this project let me know about your thoughts on this on: February 04, 2023, 11:30:42 AM
Well from the start i really liked the projects with farming but there is a sugaryield.com with the  Amazing APR on farming i can't see that much ever they have different farms like Caramel_BUSD, Caramel_USDT, Caramel_DAI, Caramel_BUSD | Saltish_BUSD, Saltish_USDT, Saltish_DAI, Saltish_BUSD. Emission rate for each farm is same but the APR is different.
It seems like just another AMM pool, with the high APR yield being paid in their own token, $SUGAR. Although they have added an extra layer of complexity with the introduction of Caramel and Saltish, it likely will follow a similar trajectory to many other protocols.

Here is the catch, our APR is not static it varies based on number of contributors. For instance if only one person stake his token then APR probably 1,298,000% but as long as contributors increase then APR may drop upto 5160%.
What's gonna happen is the generous emission of rewards by the protocol will result in a significant drop in the price of $SUGAR token. This, combined with impermanent losses, will likely lead to most people incurring losses from farming.
266  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [FULL]🔥COINSLOTTY🔥 Review Campaign – Rewards From $60 to $70🔥 on: February 04, 2023, 11:13:58 AM
I was assigned to group A to review the 100% sign-up bonus. I've been exploring the site for roughly a day now, so I will provide the overall review in this post. Please note that I haven't had the opportunity to test the withdrawal process, as I haven't completed the wagering requirement. It's very likely that I won't be able to complete the wagering requirement, so I may not be able to review the withdrawal process.

No issue on this process. I'm just wondering about the empty field below currency. Is it supposed to be a referral code or something?

After completing the form, I get to confirm my email. No issue here as well, I received it in my inbox. However, upon clicking the confirmation link, there was no message or anything to indicate that my email has been successfully verified. It would be nice to add this to the flow, a simple pop-up message would be sufficient.

Deposit
The minimum amount for the sign-up bonus is 30 USD. I decided to deposit 1.5 mBTC, worth about 35 USD at the time. Surprisingly, my deposit was credited almost instantly. This is the first thing that I like.

Sign up bonus
This is where I encountered a problem. I had toggled on the "use bonuses" button on my deposit form, however, the bonus didn't show up in my account. I went to the Promotions page to see if I need to claim it manually but no. The "get bonus" button just opens up the deposit page. So I use this as a chance to talk to the live support.

I got connected with Daria and asked how to claim my sign-up bonus. They told me my deposit didn't qualify because it didn't meet the minimum amount of 1.8 mBTC. This differs from what's written on the bonus page, which says 30 USD in BTC. My deposit was 35 USD in BTC. So I sent Daria a screenshot from the promotion page.

Quote
Kick off your epic adventure in the crypto casino world. We’ve set you up with a juicy 100% Welcome Bonus, meaning we will double any deposit you make from 30 USD in BTC up to a maximum of 100 USD in BTC.

After that, Daria said that the information is not updated to the latest rates. I'm not sure which information is not updated, the promotion details or the bonus system. Anyway, they granted my bonus manually so I didn't ask further Cheesy Would be great if the team can get this sorted out.

Now I can see the bonus in my balance. I like that I can see the progress of my wagering requirement from my profile page.

However, I had to go to the bonus T&C to know that each game has a different wagering coefficient, i.e., only slots games count for 100% wagering amount while other games like crash, dice, etc. only account for 5%. Would be nice if you include this information in the bonus info on the profile page as well.
Quote
2.9. Please, note that each game comes with its own wagering coefficient:
Slots — 100% (except for the games listed in the section 6.4);
Roulette, card games, poker, video poker, casual games, craps, lotteries — 5% (except for the games with a live dealer);

Live support
Overall, I find the live support helpful. Daria solved my issue with the sign-up bonus. The response time is still reasonable, on average I get a response within 3-4 minutes after each message (as shown in the bonus section screenshots). One minor inconvenience is that I had to write my username and email before using the live chat.

General experience
The site looks clean and easy to navigate. I had no problem using the site both in the desktop browser and mobile browser. It is responsive, functional, and mobile-friendly. Even "heavier" games like slots and live casinos can be played from mobile. Good job on this one.

Games
CS originals:
I played dice and crash from Bgaming. No issue with loading time. A small thing that I don't like is that I can't set a custom bet amount on these games and I had to choose from the dropdown (in crash) or use the plus and minus buttons (in dice) to change my wager. Another thing in dice is that some of the elements seem not properly aligned. For example, the chosen number and profit aren't vertically centered here. I'm not sure why.

Slots:
The first game that I tried was Gates of Olympus. Again, no issue with loading time. All went smoothly both on desktop and mobile. However, I noticed that the game use µBTC instead of mBTC denomination like in dice and crash. This can be confusing for users. Would be great if the site could just use mBTC for all games.

Live casino:
I played Roulette Live. I had to provide country and full name to play this game. Same as slots, this game use µBTC denomination. Other than that, I didn't experience any problems during the game.

Conclusion
What I liked:
  • Instant deposit
  • Ease of use (UI & UX, mobile friendly)
  • RTP and house edge information on every game
.
What I did not like:
  • Problem with minimum deposit amount for bonus
  • Can't bet with a custom amount on generic games (dice, crash)
  • Inconsistent BTC denomination (mBTC vs µBTC)

As stated earlier, unfortunately, I can't test out some of the features like withdrawal, VIP system, and bonus shop because I still have the bonus activated. I will post an update if I get the chance to do it. Thanks!
267  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why I will never trust top exchanges on: February 04, 2023, 08:33:45 AM
Weeks ago Binance admits to the mistake of storing users funds in a collateral wallet, is this not why they passed the Reserve Audit?🤦 All they have to do is just move crypto assets that belongs to exchange users into their collateral wallet and pass the audit and avoid getting caught. Then they go on Twitter and make a tweet that "Funds are Safu".
Yes, that's exactly why simply having a "proof of reserve" isn't sufficient to assess the financial health of an exchange. It only provides a snapshot of one side of the picture and doesn't give us an understanding of the exchange's liabilities. As you pointed out, the methods used by exchanges for "proof of reserve" in 2022 were easily manipulatable, as assets could be moved around.

As for the auditors, they don't even know how to audit in the first place, or is it right to say that exchanges just know how to get smarter than auditors?
Some of the top firms have conducted audits for well-established exchanges. For example, the audits for Coinbase are performed by Deloitte, which is a reputable auditing firm. Given that Coinbase is a publicly traded company in the US, it's safe to assume that its audit process is thorough and rigorous. So when top auditing firms deny audit requests from exchanges such as Binance, it surely raises red flags and questions.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs and Domains on: February 03, 2023, 08:49:24 AM
i agree with you, and many people take free content from the internet and sell as their own NFT.
example, you download free 3d models from rigmodels.com or 3dripper.com library, and sell as NFTs.

do you think this will stay long?
No, free models from these sites aren't meant for commercial purposes. Both websites explicitly state that free models cannot be used in commercial projects. Anyway, I doubt that anyone would actually purchase these NFTs Cheesy

Are you a NFT and Domain holder ?
What you think about NFTs and Domains Future?
Which Network NFTs and Domains you are currently holding and why?
Eth, Bsc,polygon,  Sol, Aptos?
I am holding bsc and polygon network's NFTs and domains because of the Transection fees are to low in these two Networks
Yes, I do own some ENS and SNS. I used to collect NFTs in the Ethereum network, but I had to move to Solana due to the steep increase in gas fees back in 2021. About its future, if you're considering NFTs as investments, those days may be behind us. NFTs are here to stay, but not as part of the speculative market that we saw in the last two years.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers stole $3.8 billion from crypto investors (mainly through Defi) in 2022 on: February 02, 2023, 10:29:26 AM
PoS exposes you to counterparty risk. When a custodian such as Blockfi or Celsius goes bankrupt you lose all your staked assets including staked ethereum since you have no custody.

Staking in the context of PoS and centralized crypto lending has two different meanings.

When you "stake" with companies like BlockFi or Celsius, you're simply lending them your crypto assets. This means that the company holds your assets and as you mentioned, it exposes you to counterparty risk. However, in the context of a PoS blockchain like Ethereum, in very simple terms, staking refers to holding onto a certain amount of coins to validate transactions. In this scenario, you are in control of your own coins, acting as a network participant, and incentivized to maintain the integrity of the network.
270  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Mungkinkah untuk menambah Sub board lokal? on: January 30, 2023, 02:22:02 AM

Seperti

- Sub Board : Diskusi perdagangan
Didalamnya tentang diskusi perdagangan crypto baik itu tentang berbagi pengetahuan analisa ataupun berbagi signal perdagangan. Atau hal lainnya yang terkait perdagangan crypto.

- Sub Board : lainnya/luar topik/ekonomi
Didalamnya pembahasan tentang hal-hal diluar crypto.

So instead of adding new boards, I'm requesting to rename Jual Beli board to Marketplace (Bahasa Indonesia) and adding a short description to it:

Diskusi, Jual-beli barang dan jasa, dan Penyedia jasa layanan (Discussion, Selling-buying goods and service, Service providers)

It'll covers general marketplace threads and some trading, exchange sites, and gambling sites official thread. Thank you!
271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need to get to the bottom of this myself on: January 27, 2023, 06:51:59 AM
Correct me if I am wrong, are developers or tech experts the only ones that can detect if a crypto wallet is simply fully open source or not? Can a random human who knows too less about a crypto wallet detect if it's open source or closed source? If yes please share me a way, I am tired of people saying a wallet is open source and some other are arguing that it's closed source, I need to get things done myself.

What and what to deep dive into to real if the wallet is open source? Or there is something else I need to learn first.

Being open source means that the source code is available for anyone to view and potentially modify. This is typically hosted on a platform like GitHub. If a developer chooses not to make the source code publicly available, then the software is considered to be closed source. An example of an open source Bitcoin wallet is Electrum. You can easily find and view its source code on GitHub https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum

I recommend checking out these threads:

[General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?

It has longer explanations and examples, as well as some discussions from other forum members.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana takes back top 10 position on: January 26, 2023, 06:03:42 PM
Solana is promising, based on what I have read. They do have a fast blockchain. But above all, they have a great community that understand how powerful Solana is. In my country, the number of Solana developers is only less than the number of Solidity developers. And there have been several start-up companies using Solana for their layer 1. FTX is an absurd event. If Solana survive through this winter, I believe it deserves to stay in the top 20 for next 10 years

I intend to hold Solana but I am quite too late. If the price goes lower, I will definitely accumulate a lot.

Can't agree more. The implosion of FTX is actually beneficial for the long-term health of the ecosystem. Sam/Alameda has been using the Solana ecosystem to inflate their balance sheet by launching high FDV, low cap coins (MAPS, OXY, SRM, etc.).

This is one of the reasons why I believe that Solana will remain one of the top alts in the coming years: the bad actors have been removed, the network is now stronger than ever, and the community is still active and engaged despite the events of last year.
273  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Limit Orders Work (Binance) on: January 26, 2023, 04:03:34 PM
A limit order (sell) means to be executed if the price touches the order price not above prices, I am correct? Example:

If the market price is 3.74 and I set a sell order on 3.56, the price should be executed on 3.56 (if the volatility and amount of orders on that price makes it possible), not on the MARKET PRICE because the system found a better price and decided to sell.
No, that's not accurate. If you place a limit sell order at 3.56 while the current market price is at 3.74, the order will be executed immediately at the current market price (3.74).

What you're describing is a stop-limit order, which means that the system will only place the limit sell order once the market price reaches 3.56.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - Lending Collateral on: January 26, 2023, 01:47:55 PM
But using Decentralized Finance (DeFi) you can do it on platforms that are not centralized, this is indeed risky too.
Yeah, it's just a different kind of risk. In a centralized platform, it's counterparty risk while on DeFi you're exposed to smart contract risk, especially on newer protocols.

I am also wondering how these DeFi platforms can generate revenue, through transaction fees? spreads?
Usually between those two. Maker protocol (DAI) has something called stability fee, which is basically the protocol's interest rate to borrow DAI. Others, like Solend, take a spread from interest rates directly.
275  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 200 week vs 200 day MA on trading view? on: January 24, 2023, 01:34:17 PM
The "length" depends on the timeframe of the chart that you're using. If you're on the weekly chart, then 200 length on SMA will be a 200 Week SMA. Here's my attempt to recreate that line, I think its quite similar:

Edit: Just realized you can edit the timeframe with the Timeframe dropdown. If you choose "Chart", it will use the same timeframe as the chart. Just change the timeframe to 1 week and you'll get 200 Week SMA.

Not sure I like it like this but it is what it is.
Yep. Have you tried other apps that people recommended earlier like Delta and Cointracker? Cointracker seems popular in iOS and does have good reviews.

I would use Blockfolio if I am more a trader guy, and I would use Delta if I just want to monitor my assets.
Blockfolio is gone. It became FTX app when it was acquired and now that FTX blew up so does the app Embarrassed
278  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The best wallet to use as beginner on: January 23, 2023, 01:02:16 PM
This is misleading. Binance, Coinbase, Kraken are not wallets. They are exchanges and should not be used as a wallet. For ease of use and security, just go with a hardware wallet, i.e., Ledger and Trezor. Also, you should read the pinned topic to get to know more about types of wallet and its best practices [General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?
279  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which portfolio tracker for Iphone? on: January 23, 2023, 12:19:42 PM
I have realized that this problem only occurs on those cryptos in my portfolio that I have both bought & sold, it doesn't make note of the sell amount therefore my overall cost is not reduced it stays the same.

Oh I get what you mean. So this is not exactly a problem, just a way of how Coingecko record your trades. The amount of sell transaction will not reduce your cost, instead it will be recorded in "Proceeds". The overall PnL then will be evaluated by:

Code:
PnL = Holdings + Proceeds - Cost

In my example:
  • I bought 100 $DYDX at $1.84. Total cost = $184.
  • I sell 50 $DYDX at $2. Proceeds = $100
  • I'm still holding 50 DYDX, with current price at ~$1.83. Total holdings = $91.42
  • My PnL would be = $91.42 + $100 - $184 = $7.42
280  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which portfolio tracker for Iphone? on: January 23, 2023, 11:33:19 AM
So I am using Coingecko now , but there is something I am confused with.

With Bitcoin for example it says I am 15% up however ‘Holdings value’ is less than ‘Total cost’.

Shouldn’t the holdings value be more than my total cost if I am 15% up?

This is assuming by total cost they mean how much I have invested overall?

Anyone who uses coingecko, could you explain above as doesn't make sense to me.

Yeah if your PnL is up 15% the value of your holdings should be greater than your total cost. Anyway, are you sure that 15% is your PnL and not simply the coin's 24h price change? It would be helpful if you could provide a screenshot of your portfolio dashboard to clarify this.
