141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for Bounty. Why do it? on: August 07, 2019, 04:40:46 PM
Why do some projects require KYC for bounty?  Is this a legal thing or is it a way to make sure they are not being scammed by bounty huntrs?  Are there jurisdictions which would require bounty to have KYC?  This is not a token sale after all.
I think it is not necessary if they can check carefully and remove all cheaters. Personal information is very sensitive information because we do not know what they will do with it, so you should keep it secret.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is There A point To still Hold Litecoin As An Investment? on: August 07, 2019, 04:15:04 PM
This is Litecoin's repo:

https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin

it didn't undergo any improvements in over a year (all recent commits, that were over half a year ago, are all meta data). From what I undretand, its founder abandoned it.
There was a price hike due to the recent halving, but for the price to remain high or to increase, there needs to be a future to justify the mining and demand.
This doesn't seem to be the case, as the project is abandoned and stagnating.

So I'm asking, is there still a reason to be excited about or hold Litecoin?

I think the main reason is because this is one of the very old coins, and there are many Whales still holding LTC. Therefore, despite no updates on Github in the past 1 year, the price of LTC has increased thanks to Halving.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Warns Investors That Libra Stablecoin May Never Launch on: August 06, 2019, 04:04:11 PM
I think it's just the news that FUD, a leading global company like Facebook, prepares a big project like Libra, there is no reason why they can cancel their project. We can see the media's interest for them is great, and the crypto world is very welcome to Libra.
144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are USA traders saying sayonara to Binance? (The Exodus Is Here?) on: August 04, 2019, 05:49:31 PM
Bitcoin + Finance = Binance, got it.

Ku + Coin = KuCoin, but again, what is a "Ku"?  Is that Japanese for Kung Foo?
Kucoin is a Chinese exchange, and maybe "Ku" is a Chinese word.  I just search for the meaning of "Ku", it gives the results "warehouse or store house". Seems quite reasonable.  Grin
But I don't think Kucoin will be the # 1 choice if Binance is banned in the US. Maybe OKEx or Houbi would be more realistic.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in XRP? on: August 04, 2019, 05:42:19 PM
I just found an article and here it is,

https://www.forbes.com/sites/panosmourdoukoutas/2018/03/07/ripple-could-be-the-next-bitcoin/#4dc2e64c5b39

Can anyone confirm it is helpful or is it wise to trade with XRP?
Yes, XRP is one of the top coins that has barely increased since the beginning of this year, while other top coins like LTC or ETH have increased 3 to 4 times. So you can risk part of your fund on it.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Video call for KYC verification on: August 03, 2019, 05:48:46 PM
Recently, I have chatted with a support from an exchange, and he could easily take my KYC photos. I was shocked. An employee can take the personal data of users. Who knows what they will do with our private data, for other personal purposes.
I'm really worried, and probably won't use any platform that requires KYC.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose which bounty campaign to participate in? on: August 03, 2019, 05:44:20 PM
Hi everyone,

I am curious how you are choosing in which bounty campaigns you are participating in?
To my understanding there are 5-10 new bounty campaigns launched everyday, so that bounty hunters have a lot options to pick from.
In another thread I already saw that the duration of the campaign is important.
But what are the other factors?
How do you choose?
After joining a lot of bounties and being scammed, I think the safest way is choosing the campaign which pay by cash, and have Escrow. It is the only way to ensure that you will receive real cash after the campaign.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in IEO BITTREX? on: August 01, 2019, 05:29:28 PM
Many many users leaved Bittrex, because they didn't changed. They still maintain the highest trading fees, highest withdrawal fees, while the trading volume is decreasing. Their IEOs all have negative ROI. I don't know the reason for traders to stay here.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The best exchange in 2019? on: August 01, 2019, 05:23:05 PM
Hello friends, I want to ask about the most widely used exchanges for daily trading. Is Binance the best or Bitmax? Give your reason, aside from the volume. Nice to wait for your opinion here.
Binance is still the market leader when creating IEO trends, as well as listing quality projects, and their native coin - BNB has grown significantly this year. Bitmax is an emerging exchange with good trading volume, competitive trading and withdrawal fee, I hope it will be a competitor to Binance in the future.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Switzerland - new crypto paradise in Europe? on: July 31, 2019, 04:23:26 PM
Looks like Switzerland is going to overtake Malta as the cryptocurrency bastion in Europe. Thanks to clear, simple, transparent and fair regulations, the number of exchanges which are operating there is still growing (more info here). You think this country has a chance to strongly influence the market with that approach?
Yes, they have "Crypto Valley" which can considers as "Silicon Valley" of cryptocurrencies. Many big companies in the blockchain field have been born here and are holding high positions on CMC. Switzerland is famous for Finance and Banking, and perhaps they want to take the lead in this crypto market.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Stake vs Fixed bounty allocation on: July 31, 2019, 04:19:46 PM
With the current situation when there are too many cheaters in social and content campaigns , I think the best way is a fixed allocation instead of stake to ensure hunter benefits, and maybe limited participants.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which do you think is better, buy at tokensale or buy at public exchange? on: July 29, 2019, 04:12:41 PM
Because the cryptocurrency situation is currently not the same as before. So I want to ask all of you in here, so that I don't lose money in investing. Which do you think is better, buy when ico / ieo / tokensale and get a bonus or buy when it is listed in the public exchange/market at a low price? I personally prefer to participate in the tokensale but see the current situation, when a token / coin list in the market is cheap, this makes me very confused to invest. How about you? Can you share your mind and help me out my confused
It is really difficult now that you can buy tokens in IEOs when exchange use lottery or FCFS, while buying in tokens is very risky (about the project, as well as the price after listing). I think the best way now is to find good projects, make a deal with the team for a Private sale, maybe you will buy the desired tokens at a better price.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3.75% of Americans ready to invest in ICO? on: July 29, 2019, 03:53:49 PM
LendEDU survey:

25% of Americans know about ICOs

15% of them plan to make investment via ICOs!

15% of 25%= Around 3.75%

https://www.initialcoinlist.com/how-do-americans-feel-about-icos/
Most ICOs currently restrict Americans from participating. So if the above ratio is correct, we can see that the potential for ICO is still very large, because 3.75% is not a small number compared to the US population.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can a bitcoin exchange or any altcoin transaction be cancelled due to error? on: July 28, 2019, 04:28:26 PM
can a BTC exchange be terminated before it has been affirmed, or is it that once communicated it is beyond the realm of imagination to expect to drop whenever
If your transaction was sent to blockchain, it can not cancel. So be careful if you want to make a transaction. Or sometime your order has not been executed, exchange's support can cancel the order before it is on the blockchain. In my opinion that is the only way now.
155  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Do NOT use IDAX echange !!! on: July 28, 2019, 10:03:22 AM
This exchange is very suspicious. You can check their Telegram, it seems that the support team is very weak and does not answer members' questions.
Recently many ICO projects have accused them of being scammed by IDAX regarding the listing of IEO on IDAX. It is better for everyone to stay away from this.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Multiple Round ICOs? on: July 28, 2019, 09:50:43 AM
Have you heard of ICOs with multiple rounds? Like they raise a certain amount of money now, use that money for primary aims and goals, and then a few months/years down the line (as part of their original plan) launch a second round to fund additional goals and further project development? Just wondering if this is a thing, if so please provide me with some links to projects that have done so.
It is a type of marketing to attract investors to participate in the project earlier, because the price after each round will increase gradually, so participating in early, you will have more incentives.
Some projects have a Private Sale round targeting Venture capital firms, when they will have a separate agreement.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bad days for crypto on: July 28, 2019, 09:44:02 AM
Crypto prices for the past days have been so bad, literally no improvements, bitcoin, the leading coin has only been moving with the same 9,500-10,300$ axis, although it was projected that the price rise to 20,000$ by the end of the year, is this still achievable?
So what do you say when Bitcoin has increased continuously since the beginning of the year? I think the recent declines are just correction before the BTC can rise to higher prices. BTC can dump to 8k6 $ this time, and I hope we will see the 15k price in the end of this year.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can we ever have altcoin season again. on: July 27, 2019, 05:02:14 PM
since the beginning of this year. bitcoin dominance has tremendously affected the altcoin markets. when bitcoins raises, altcoin move very slowly but when it goes down. altcoins are heavily affected.  Are we going to see any major bull market for altcoin again. we are already in the third quarter of the year. i am concerned because i strongly believed in altcoins more than bitcoin.
I still believe that nothing is increasing and going down continuously. The current Altcoins/BTC pairs are all its bottom, and I believe everyone's patience will be rewarded, the upcoming altcoins season are coming. Of course I mention the legit altcoins.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Announced First Security Token Exchange Offering - STEO on: July 26, 2019, 04:46:20 PM
Maybe just a new term to attract investors. But who can believes in LAtoken, when we all know that this is a exchange that regularly lists new tokens with zero trading volume and token will be dumped to almost worthless prices.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockstack - Anyone buying this? Thoughts please? on: July 26, 2019, 04:35:43 PM
A good project to invest in this time. They were the first project approved by the SEC and able to raise capital in the United States, as well as being invested by two Winklevoss twins. Blockstack Company has been established since 2013 and has operated so far, and has raised $ 50M previously.
