1  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc-e hits 102 on: February 10, 2014, 11:13:55 AM
I saw sell orders selling between 10-200 coins at $200, and hundreds at $100. Silly manipulation attempt to bring down the market. Would have worked better if they staggered the asks to bring the price down in a realistic fashion. Lucky to all those at BTC-E. Congrats on your win today.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Consolidating Trend -- A Page From Arepo's Notes on: January 07, 2014, 09:24:47 PM

so that's where we're headed now. bumpy consolidation into a final capitulation event, and then we can finally be done with the craziness of the December crash. however, if the bubble paradigm we've seen so many times before holds we will not see sub $450 and we will likely not see sub $600.

Arepo - excuse my wish for precise figures but can you please give me a target I can quote you on?

You know where I stand!
That's a bit unreasonable. That's a pretty specific range for a bottom.

those are just lower bounds. i do have a much more specific target. i can answer the questions "What is the target price for capitulation? What is the expected timeframe? and What price action would invalidate this model?" if i can raise the bounty described in my previous post. i hope this arrangement seems reasonable. i really can't just go around posting my notes in their entirety on a public forum Cheesy

forum members who are interested can feel free use this thread to make pledges so that a number of individuals can contribute small amounts but be confident that the bounty will be reached and the information will be released.

I'm interested in your target price for capitulation. Would you say that the coming high volume capitulation would have us at lower lows?
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 23, 2013, 03:06:55 AM
If we break the upper trendline, which is currently resistance again, then $850 is the next stop.....

Upper trendline broken... then a quick dip right back.. let's see what happens
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: December 06, 2013, 05:30:29 AM
I thought the end will have more epic start. Third day in a row I wake up, see charts and ask myself "Is this the end?" and third day in a row answer is "Yes".

I don't know about "the end", but I have to agree. Things are starting to look not nice.

Does this mean down we go then?
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Huge Spread Between Exchanges on: November 23, 2013, 08:59:22 PM
I just made a deposit of BTC into BTC-e just fine very recently.
7  Economy / Speculation / Huge Spread Between Exchanges on: November 23, 2013, 08:43:26 PM
Can anyone enlighten me as to why there is a $100 spread between BTC-e and Bitstamp+other exchanges? i have most of my trading coins on BTC-e and am a little worried.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Best Alt-Coin to Start Investing Into? on: November 19, 2013, 03:07:55 AM
Hello all. I know this is more of an alt-coin forum post but it is also strong speculation. I am wondering your opinion on what is the best coin to invest into? The BTC train hasn't passed, but it is starting to get a bit unaffordable. I am wondering what coins I can get in mass for a low price which (speculatively) are looking prospective?

Maria, what if one were to begin with a much lower investment of say 10 BTC?
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinbase "High Risk" Transactions and 4 Business Days More Than 4 Business Days on: November 10, 2013, 04:55:02 AM
Unfortunately this is the easiest and best way I know of to easily get USD to BTC. Know of something better?
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Coinbase "High Risk" Transactions and 4 Business Days More Than 4 Business Days on: November 10, 2013, 04:48:08 AM
I am just wondering what exactly coinbase considers "high risk". I bought a few BTC at $270 on this most recent dip and they are not scheduled to come until 4 business days, which apparently is on November 18 (Huh?). I am wondering if bitcoin is soaring in 2 weeks will they still allow my transactions to go through?
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think BTC will hit $200? on: November 10, 2013, 04:37:28 AM
I wouldn't expect bitcoin to hit 200. Currently it is at $262 and hovering around there.
