1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN-REBRAND] FantasyGold Coin [FGC] - Fantasy Sports & LIVE Vegas eSports - MN on: April 07, 2018, 06:55:45 PM
Seems like an intriguing platform.  I am curious if the adoption will be as natural as it sounds like it could in my head.  I have also been wanting to get into the world of MN ownership..

Anyone try the masternode calculator I posted the other day? Remember, it's a 10:1 ratio after the swap. The numbers I use.

180 masternodes
40 cents
1 masternode

I'm hoping to double my holdings with rewards in the first 6 weeks or so.

Anyone else holding masternodes? Anyone also plan on mining?

Had a question about your spreadsheet.  PM'd you.

Nobody knows for sure how many masternodes there will be nor the price of each Fantasy Gold. Here's a few assumptions.

The price is currently 5 cents, at a 10:1 reduction of coins the starting price should theoretically be about 50 cents after the swap. In addition, circulating supply will be about 1.8 million. So at max, I'm estimating about 130-140 masternodes at launch. As that number grows, I'm assuming price will increase based on the coin scarcity. If people find the roi worth it, the price should follow.

The items we do know is block production (close to it) rewards between master/miner and amount of coins produced each block.

Awesome, thanks for answering my question.  If I had merit, id offer it to you  Wink

Here is some more handy info on software apps:

Desktop or Mobile

Pro: Support for multiple cryptocurrencies. They may also include additional features, such as an integrated currency and token exchange. These wallets create and store your private keys on your computer or smartphone

Con:  However, since you most likely use these devices to access the Internet, your wallet may be at risk if your computer or smartphone becomes infected with malware or spyware. Additionally, some desktop clients download a full copy of the blockchain, which can often take up a significant amount of hard drive space.

* Examples and cost:

Exodus: https://www.exodus.io/(Free)
Mist: https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases (Free)
Jaxx: https://jaxx.io/ (Free)

Browser/Plug-in

Pro: Though only available on Google Chrome, these easy-to-use wallets create and store your private keys on your computer and are always readily available.

Con: As with desktop clients, a web-based wallet is only as secure as the device on which your private key is stored. If the device becomes infected with malware, your key could be compromised.  Highly insecure.

* Examples and cost:

Myetherwallet: https://www.myetherwallet.com/ (Free)
MetaMask: https://metamask.io/ (Free)
Jaxx: https://jaxx.io/ (Free)

3 Common ways to store Crypto

Hardware Wallets

Pro: Hardware wallets keep your investments secure against cyber attacks. Since coins and tokens do not exist in physical form, the wallets instead hold the private keys to the addresses owned by the user.  Hardware wallets store your private key on a small physical device that can be connected to a computer USB port when you are ready to make a transaction. Private keys are generated on and never leave the physical device, preventing them from being compromised by cyber attacks, even if you make a transaction on a computer infected with malware. Commonly-supported coins include Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum Classic, and Dash.

Con: The only downside to hardware wallets is that, unlike other options, you must purchase them.

* Examples and cost:

KeepKey: https://www.keepkey.com/

($129 each, *https://[Suspicious link removed]/yd73on89* (https://www.amazon.com/KeepKey-Simple-Cryptocurrency-Hardware-Wallet/dp/B0143M2A5S/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1517947712&sr=8-3&keywords=keepkey&dpID=41fqIceeeEL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch))

The coolest looking tech gadget to show off to your friends. Made by a relatively new company, KeepKey offers a hardware wallet of a polished design. KeepKey is said to be a port of Trezor’s code and firmware, so their main difference is the material. KeepKey feels like a ‘premium’ wallet but might be a little on the heavy side and hence more susceptible to drops. It comes with a standard, simple to use client UI.

Nano Ledger S: https://www.ledgerwallet.com/

($135 each, *https://[Suspicious link removed]/y93f92rm/)*

Is just as secure as the other two hardware wallets. It is popular because of its relatively low price  to its competitors. Being smaller than KeepKey, it is more portable and easier to carry around. It is a hardware wallet that comes at a very competitive price.

Trezor: https://trezor.io/

($110 each, *https://[Suspicious link removed]/yb46zkfd* (https://www.amazon.com/Trezor-bitcoin-wallet-Black/dp/B00R6MKDDE?th=1) )

Is one of the first movers in the hardware wallet industry and sets the gold standard for crypto security. Trezor has a reputation for providing top-notch security, protecting against both virtual and physical theft. What Trezor lacks in style, it more than makes up in the security department. Even if your PC is compromised with malware, your private keys will still be safe with Trezor. In this sense, Trezor is more of a vault than a wallet.

Alot of these prices fluctuate, and you can find them cheaper if you want to dig.  I just linked amazon for quick reference
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to overcome depression? on: January 20, 2018, 04:04:35 PM
This is a hard topic.  The spectrum is so wide on what constitutes real depression or someone who is jut looking for attention.  Mental health need a lot more funding that we as tax payers are never willing to pay.

I have had friend on both sides, and let me tell you...the ones that are real, are very hard to convince otherwise.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Inquiry - Mining is Legal in Saudi Arabia? on: January 20, 2018, 03:57:02 PM
I did a brief stint in UAC and was shocked at the cot of electricity/pmw.  Would it actually even be profitable to do in the MiddleEast?  I am stationed in Brazil now, and the costs are still ridiculous.  Also, check taxation fees on purchasing equipment if you plan on getting them shipped to certain parts of the region.
7  Economy / Exchanges / Coinbase verification is so slow on: January 20, 2018, 03:49:13 PM
Has anyone been experiencing this lately?  I have opened up a ticket regarding my account verification, but no answer yet.  Created it back on Jan 6th.  till waiting the deposit verification.  I am afraid to open another ticket/account with fear of suspicious activity flags on their site.  Just seeing if anyone else had the same issues recently?
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Negative trust given for my bad English on: January 20, 2018, 03:44:54 PM
Sorry to hear OP.  I jut got done responding to another person in a similar situation.  Community policing isn't a bad thing, but when someone takes it open them self to be the Paul Blart cause they are given a little "power" is silly.  Especially in the newbie section.  If you want to be critical of Jr/Sr members who are trying to raise their activity, I am all for that scrutiny.  Most newbies just want to become Jr so they can actively participate in campaigns.
9  Other / Meta / Re: How to report trust feedback? on: January 20, 2018, 03:36:42 PM
You can't do anything. Trust isn't moderated. The only way to get the trust feedback removed is if you talk to the user who gave it to you (The Pharmacist) and he agrees to remove it (I doubt he will).

And you don't need to have done any trade with the user. You are an one-liner shitposter and that's what the trust says. So it's probably valid.

Not everything needs a paragraph to explain.  Especially when you are a newbie.  Any advice given as a newbie is brushed away since you are infact a newbie and should still be learning the ropes.  This is the newbie section after all.  This should be a safe place to post quick comments and thoughts without fear of being belittled by people.

Hi Team, hope everything is running smoothly. Can we please know when the ICO will end and what amount has been raised so far? Thanks

This will help a ton for future investments.  I have already begun spreading the word and this is a frequent question I get asked
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO] WhaleCorp.co - Banking | Trading | Coin Market | eCommerce | Game on: January 20, 2018, 02:35:04 PM
I always find it odd when a company talks about a project being in development for a long time, but the ANN thread is made by a Newbie.  Couldn't you at least be maturing an account while working on the project to earn legitimacy?

14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I get my Ethereum returned (SCAM GONWTWORK ICO) - Pre-sale on: January 20, 2018, 02:10:18 PM
I really think there needs to be a class taught at schools nowadays that show signs of fraud when navigating the internet.  Everything from phishing attacks in emails to how to properly secure your information online.  The internet is an auspicious space that we let anyone on with no proper training.

17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dump will be over?? on: January 20, 2018, 01:40:31 PM
Dumps are just sweet music playing telling you to buy low.  The best part of BTC dumps...Altcoins gain more ground on the bounceback
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Email for coin on: January 20, 2018, 01:28:47 PM
Be careful with two many emails/password etc.  Its easy to forget or lose a credential.  Some of the more secured email services also will delete old emails if you do a password revocery
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to find the official topic for a coin ? on: January 20, 2018, 01:14:07 PM
If the ANN thread is worth its weight, it should have everything you need to click.  If you do not have a recognizable team, then many ICO' can fail from the start with a poor ANN thread.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Interested on Mining on: January 20, 2018, 01:06:07 PM
Make sure to check your electricity price first. If it's above ~5 cent per KWH you won't be competitive in the long run. In the short term you'd be fine even with 20-30 cents, but that can change very quickly.

Keep in mind that you can very easily brick your hardware if you don't know what you're doing, which could end up losing you GPUs before you even created any profit from them. Read up as much as you can and then do the Math to see if it's worth to start mining for you or not.

If your not familiar with overlooking your PC, then I would highly suggest doing a quite a bit of reading, along with some trial and error. I have burned up a cpl processors back in my early days with not having proper cooling.
