I would like to propose something to the devs: Let's call "passive minning"

The basic idea is that each wallet, as soon it's opened it starts automatically to mine with a low profile in a pool.

As the idea of yenten is to be a CPU coin that is affordable to almost every single machine in the world, if, just keeping open the wallet, you contribute to the power and quality of the net as at the same time you get some micro rewards... I think that it will be a game changer in the adoption.

To achieve that,  - my idea - is to create a version of the wallet that has a index of the pools that allows to mine without registration, only using the wallet address, and it % dominance. So, the wallet wiil sichronize this list, and on the start, it will connect to the 5 or 6 pool in dominance  in this moment (to avoid concentrate all in a single pool). Also the minning power will be no more than 10-25% of the processor.

Now try to imagine if this feature go viral.... tons of people, that do not have single idea of minning, will be able to participate and empower the chain and receive rewards (yes, very small) but for the total of the net, the impact will be massive as any single CPU can be used on a easy way and not only dedicated.

Any thought?

I would appreciate a lot a Dummie's guide to start the v2.0...

I look this always at night when my mind is in 1% and I missing something (can be even an elephant) But following some advices, I want to make a clean install in another computer and try to see if I lost already some yentens, as long the pool is sending to an 1.3.1 wallet.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CPU mining] Yenten v2.0.1 [YTN] [YescryptR16] [Exchange avilable] on: August 09, 2018, 01:01:56 PM
It seems that the new (v2) wallet does not accept the blocks mined using the old (v1) one after block #198765 (See the source code: https://github.com/conan-equal-newone/yenten/blob/master/src/chainparams.cpp#L80 ) and currently v1 wallet facing the sync problem.

I encourage you to migrate to v2 ASAP.

So that means that all the minning that is done by pools right now pointing to wallets 1.3.1, when it will sended from those wallets, to v2 wallets wont be recognised???

I still do not understand why the people not see and realize that this coin is probably the most decentraliced option that exists!!  Anyone can participate, and doesn't need a silly gigantic RIGs in a cave or simmilar.

Just use your computer, put only one core if you don't want to "degradate" your machine, continue working, and that's all !!!

So, where is the dev and how you think to do anything without the dev himself?

Dev is on github and post / modify the ann here regulary

Yenten have a dev to update the core.
Yenten have community to build others stuff like exchanges / market / services.
Yenten have a joke clear roadmap with a joke clear website.

Yenten dont have a fancy bootstrap 4 website with a f*ck*** false graphical roadmap, ico, ipo, premine , others coins have already that.

Yenten is cool. When it will be time, Yenten will have that you are waiting for.

THIS

I think that the people really loves to buy smoke.

At this moment, we all already know how does work a blockchain, the supply, markets, etc...... So, if you know all those thing... why do you need a rainbow colour smoke advertising?

If you see the basics:

- Real coin... not ETH token
- CPU minning...... (Extreme Rara avis)
- No premine / ICO
- Same supply as Litecoin
- 2 minutes blocks

Period.

Yenten is Lamborghini at his starts, when the only known was Ferrari. Same background, someone unhappy with the standarts (ASICs) develop something that make the same with personality and good performance.

hardfork is often a scam

This is to add to the list? Because I do not understand the comment :S
