1  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange on: August 07, 2019, 10:30:15 PM
I have received this mail from snip
In short, it is selective scamming. The complaints are piling up against HitBTC.

How much longer before HitBTC get shut down by authorities?
You're right. I think it's a new strategy from exchanges. They pretend a security issue on your account to block your funds and to ask you several personal documents.  Undecided It's more hypocritical than suddenly changing the terms and conditions without warnings, but less blatant...

It is less blatant to the unseen eye but for those that have seen this type of scam infest in the crypto community we can spot it a mile away...

They are selective scamming users in ever increasing numbers thus bringing about the end of their scam website closer and sooner

There's no scamming. If you didn't notice after completing KYC people withdraw their coins. No one gets robbed.

False. Many users report giving all the requested data and still not receiving their money.

Besides, the KYC/AML procedure is invoked for even the smallest of amounts, like $50. This is not a practice focused on security. It's simply scamming, stalling and as mentioned above, possibly even identity theft.

HitBTC has never even tried to prove the IDs/documents are secured and the KYC requests are in any meaningful way justified. It's clear from all the complaints that a lot of users were directly harmed by the exchange and its affiliates. HitBTC is an unscrupulous and shady exchange. Avoid it like a plague.
2  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange on: July 17, 2019, 10:26:36 PM
People who say they face troubles with KYC, later manage to pass it and withdraw their coins. Generally, that's it. Hitbtc should work faster but it's not a scam.

Well no. I am faced with forced KYC even though I requested to withdraw an amount much below their own limits for KYC. It just shows they are using KYC as a measure to slow down or in cases completely block withdrawals and this points directly to the issue of insolvency.

There are many exchanges who are slow to process KYC procedures but they do not force them on their clients when the clients try to withdraw limited amounts of money - HitBTC does, so it's an abnormal situation indicating they operate on illegally borrowed and in cases out right stolen money.
3  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HitBTC scam! on: July 15, 2019, 09:04:27 PM
I have used HITBTC without a problem, i usually trade shitcoin for BTC or DOGE and most of the time withdraw DOGE without problem and i never had a problem, never ever had more than 100$ on the exchange.

$100 is hardly any money, be it in crypto or real world grocery shopping so this isn't indicative of anything. If I cannot withdraw an amount which is below their own limit for unverified users i.e. 1 BTC / day, then they are insolvent and/or a SCAM. Either way nobody who values their money should deposit anything on their platform. There are a lot of other more reputable venues to trade on.
4  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is HitBTC scam? on: July 15, 2019, 05:23:55 PM
Yes, they are a SCAM. They block bigger withdrawals and force bogus KYC procedure to stall. People report waiting for their money for months without any success or response by the staff.

In short, they are stealing users funds' whenever possible.
5  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange on: July 15, 2019, 05:21:16 PM
HitBTC is clearly a SCAM. Their conduct shows they are insolvent and block user funds under a false pretense of KYC procedure. It's better to keep away from those crooks.
6  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hitbtc.com scamming me for 50k 3BTC and refuse to send my withdrawal [RESOLVED] on: July 15, 2019, 05:12:34 PM
I can confirm HitBTC is stealing users' funds under a false pretense of KYC/AML procedure. Withdrawal requests fail and the user is forced to provide all sorts of public information including ID, social network links and real IP without any just reason - a classic stalling tactic of an insolvent exchange.

HitBTC is clearly a SCAM as many other users have said. Keep away.
7  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HitBTC scam! on: July 14, 2019, 07:40:42 PM
I do have issues with them right now - they hold my funds hostage and blocked my withdrawals without any just reason. It seems they are insolvent and try to steal as much funds from people as possible.

Their trolbox is also hostile to any questions regarding solvency and withdrawals, so it further confirms to me that there's something shady going on on HitBTC.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| BBOD - Decentralized Options and Futures Trading Platform. Now listed. on: December 27, 2017, 02:51:03 AM
Now the main operational task is exchange software. We are working on very core and technical modules like : decentralized custody, clearing, order matching.

In meantime you can meet our new headquarters at Synergy Centre, Institute of Technology Tallaght, Dublin, Ireland.

Please follow us on https://twitter.com/BBODTrading
This is the main communication channel until new website will be released.

New HQ, are you serious? How is blowing ICO funds on a new HQ adding any value to the project?
In the age of remote work there's hardly a need for a physical location not to mention the very early stage of the project.

Current Twitter feed is effectively mute - no relevant news are published there.
We've been hearing about the development priorities for some time now, but sadly there are no results of said work to test/verify.

Things that are important:
  • what potential/actual clients do you have?
  • what is the status of technical elements?
  • where is the community around the project?

Since I do not expect any meaningful answers to those questions, I would not be surprised if BBD price tanked even more in the following weeks.

Just to show you that there are really well thought out projects with great value and community communication, have a look at: https://cardanoroadmap.com - it's lightyears ahead of BBOD in almost every respect.

Sorry to say, but IMHO BBOD does not stand a chance on the market with such a poor quality of product management.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| BBOD - Decentralized Options and Futures Trading Platform. Now listed. on: December 15, 2017, 08:15:26 PM
Seems like there is nothing of substance going on with the project  Sad

Futures trading platforms for crypto are being made operational with significant institutional backing, yet this one has nothing new to show for.
https://github.com/BBODTradingPlatform/BBOD looks dead as well.

The EtherDelta market for BBD: https://etherdelta.com/#BBD-ETH just tested a new low @0.000002003 BBD/ETH which is some 500x lower than the ICO price.
It seems the market does not buy the roadmap.

Can't say I surprised as IMHO actions speak louder than words.

What is surprising though, is that people who run this project and have real credibility on the line would let that happen  Shocked

On what stage this project running now? When would be listed on another exchange place?
I too want to know when will BBD be available on other exchanges.

Since the ICO is over and there was no meaningful summary I would like the BBOD CEO to comment on each point mentioned in this article "6 Rules For ICO Investing During The Bubble": http://albertmurphy.com
  • Rule # 1 - Choose the Right Sized Projects, focus on value and avoid projects with too much hype
  • Rule # 2 - Analyze the team and make sure they are already successful
  • Rule # 3 - Avoid projects with big "Dark periods" in their road-maps
  • Rule # 4 - Make sure there is a reasonable Hardcap, any unsold tokens - destroyed and that there won't be any future offerings
  • Rule # 5 - Make sure the project really needs to be on the blockchain and that it is disruptive in character
  • Rule # 6 - Make sure the founders are engaging with the community and that they need their token to increase in value

WOW, great news!

You may want to contact the organizers, since it seems they have a buggy code on their site.

Are BBD tokens in any danger of being frozen regarding https://techcrunch.com/2017/11/07/a-major-vulnerability-has-frozen-hundreds-of-millions-of-dollars-of-ethereum ?

Will be burned.
An honest decision from the Team - rare in crypto market ICOs these days, much appreciated  Cool

What will happen with the remainder of 240 000 000 BBD sale supply if not all of it is bought during sale?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| BBOD - Decentralized Options and Futures Trading Platform. Now listed. on: October 25, 2017, 03:47:37 PM
We are in talks with exchanges, we are aware that this is very important for our token holders.

You are right, it is.
Is it a secret which exchanges you've approached already?

BTW apart from CoinMarketCap.com there is also WorldCoinIndex.com and CoinGecko.com. It would be beneficial to the project if BBD was also listed there.

Etherscan.io has only partial support for BBD token i.e. the token is listed with $0 value (it does not sum with other tokens) and does not have its own name/icon on token transfers page.

What can you do to fix it?

PS. The new roadmap graphic on the main page is cool.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| BBOD - Decentralized Options and Futures Trading Platform. Now listed. on: October 24, 2017, 04:08:45 PM
We work towards introducing tokens to centralized exchanges.

It would be great to add BBD/ETH pair to CoinMarketCap.com but ATM the requirement is $1000 volume/24h.
This won't happen unless the volume on etherdelta.com rises or a centralized exchange accepts BBD for trading.

Which exchanges you have in mind?

EtherDelta is unbearably slow. Will BBOD platform be faster?

Hi, ico trackers are not the best way to get meaningful information. The most recommended way is to read Executive Summary, then Whitepaper, read our Medium (...)
We want to introduce new standards.

OK, I did that at the beginning but not many people do those things.

Right now on crypto scene there's much more lazy money than smart money so providing a well rounded jist of BBOD offer to a broader audience would raise the ICO's valuation. I am not saying to _only_ do pure marketing but it is important to dazzle people a bit or else the ICO will not gain much traction outside of small circle of investors. Just look how long it takes to achieve the MinCap while other, much more pie-in-the-sky, ICOs raise millions of USD. There's a reason to it.

The product will not sell itself just because it has a great technology and team behind it - this rarely if ever works without a bit of marketing pixie dust.

You can also ask for email for founders. We will upload the email on the website soon.

We changed "big names in the market" for less controversial statement.
(...) We are open to suggestions what we should do to have better communication with our token holders. (...) Our fiduciary duty is to serve our token holders, [Suspicious link removed]munity and spend most of money for development of the platform.

Cool. In the spirit of better communication: are there any institutional investors you can talk about who are ready to support the project?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| BBOD - Decentralized Options and Futures Trading Platform. Now listed. on: October 20, 2017, 12:42:06 AM

Smith + Crown is just a simple enumeration without any meaningful information about the ICOs listed.

(...) words like "Backed by the biggest names in the market" need a little bit more proof than that
Don't see any scam here really, but words like "Backed by the biggest names in the market" need a little bit more proof than that

This refers to people who have worked (team members)  / or now work (advisors) in "big names".
Former Director (15 years) of Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking in New York, etc.
Official collaboration with the best polish institute in quantum cryptography : National Quantum Information Centre, etc.

As stated the project is not supported by the "big names in the market" but by former employees of "big names" i.e. by people who may or may not be relevant in the industry and certainly do not represent anymore the industry-recognized companies they have worked for in the past. Such wording is at best questionable and at worst disingenuous to the investors.

The Team seems like a competent group of people. However, one aspect of this project seems a bit weak and that is marketing. The ICO is in full swing but investor support is falling behind due to sluggish information sharing.

How to best reach the responsible Team member Hubert Olszewski https://www.linkedin.com/in/hubert-olszewski-6a81aab9/ for a private discussion about PR?

Will BBOD ICO be available at https://icomonitor.io/?
