3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] KICKICO - PLATFORM FOR FUNDRAISING ON CRYPTOCURRENCY on: February 14, 2020, 04:08:29 AM
Checking my wallet I noticed I received this coin I was so excited because I really need money but was disappointed as I could not send it anywhere, so I'm going to watch this wallet for an update on what to do so I claim this airdrop, I hope they are not asking us to send funds like all these scam giveaways are doing right now.

Probably not a scam but just a marketing ploy to attract users to KickEx before they will unlock your frozen token.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ARBITRAGING: Crypto Profit Trading Platform | HOT ICO! on: February 12, 2020, 07:30:07 AM
Arbitraging is officially dead now although the site and domain are still there but they are trying to build a company called APEX out of it which allows leverage trading but while there is only leverage trading in AUSD, which was the old abot currency carried forward also known as the abot debt and their own new APEX token, not much interest will arise unless they add big trading pairs like Tether and Bitcoin. So we will see if this goes anywhere over the coming months. I would like to sell off some of my APX and AUSD at a decent price.

Wow!!! The Arbitrage team will still pull the same ponzi style this 2020 by rebranding to APEXtrader???
I hope nobody gets scammed again by this group.

Evil Karma will eventually punish the perpetrators of Arbitrage.co for their wrongdoings.
I wish you horrible diseases for the rest of your days and may slow painful death find the Arbitrage team and their families for scamming people.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀🔥 [ANN] ARBITRAGING (ARB/PoW) The Arbitrage Professionals 🚀🔥 on: May 27, 2019, 05:19:26 AM
Got scammed real hard on this.

They'll pay a dividend of $1.3 per ARB but you can only sell it for $0.06 in the internal exchange. That's 95% loss per ARB token.
You can't even withdraw the ARB token and sell it outside exchange.

They basically super inflated their ARB supply and now can't even give ARB tokens as divs when withdraw is requested.

ARB telegram still disabled...
ARB discord still disabled...

My account is blocked for more than 4 days now for no apparent reason and with no reply from support@arbitraging.co despite once a day email follow-ups...

Resetting the password doesn't help as well..
Telegram and discord now disabled...

I don't know how professional you'd call an exchange running 24x7 without receiving support for more than 4 days.
My bcc spider-sense is going crazy!!!  Shocked Shocked Shocked

UPDATE: 7 days and still no support email reply despite daily, once a day followups....

Anyone with a sane state of mind would know what this means...

Imagine getting your exchange account locked out for no apparent reason.
ARB telegram disabled...
ARB discord disabled...
No email support for 7 days, not even a single reply after daily followups...
SCAM!!!

I'll keep this thread alive as a warning to everyone to stay away from Arbitrage!
I will only take this back if my account is restored.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS THE BOUNTY HUNTER THE CAUSE OF THE SUDDEN PRICE CRASH OF A TOKEN OR COIN? on: September 24, 2018, 05:04:02 AM
Sometimes, it really is. But the hunters never drop coins just like that. If they see potential, they'll hold the coin.

Same here. I usually hodl my bounties if it's just around $100 value range. If higher, I may decide to sell some but still hold bulk of the bounty given in my wallet. I don't dump as it hurts the community and the devs that I've worked with.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Strict rules in Bounties, is it needed? on: September 24, 2018, 04:59:59 AM
I agree having strict rules in bounties.
This is also the reason why bitcointalk mods decided to tighten and implement rules before anyone can rank up.
I've seen too many bounties scammed last year by one person creating multiple accounts, some scammers even earning more than $40,000 from a single bounty program using multiple accounts.
KYC should be required for bounties to prevent one person scamming the bounty community and devs.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the current ETH price? on: September 19, 2018, 03:39:50 AM
My opinion, I think ethereum will still see some good days, because even with the drastic price fall, ETH still maintain the number 2 spot in coinmarketcap, that is impressive and that means the volume and the usage is still there, so my conclusion is ethereum will sure come back to outstanding price

Nobody can really tell if this is already the bottom. If you feel that this is indeed a good price already from ATH of Eth, then buy a few eth every now and then.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge is the foundation on: September 18, 2018, 09:33:37 AM
It is needful to say that before the completion of a magnificent building, it starts from the foundation, therefore, to excel as a crypto enthusiast you must start from the foundation, which is through the acquisition of knowledge.
I will not deny the fact that learning is a continuous process, but whoever is coming newly into crypto, should try as much as possible to learn first the rudiments before venturing into any aspect of crypo in order to avoid making costly mistakes.
What you already know cannot be taken away from you...
So, start from the foundation today and get the best from the crypto space.

I agree. When I joined the cryptoverse, I used to spend 16-18 hours per day reading everything crpyto - news, ICO projects, FUD/FOMO, ICO's, old project's history, etc.
Knowledge is key.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to escape FUD and FOMO to peace of mind? on: September 18, 2018, 09:31:35 AM
"FOMO"and "FUD" has always been (and always will be) a part of the cryptocurrency ecosystem. The way it’s dealt with needs work, a lot of work.
Why FOMO & FUD are Both causing danger?
How to escape FUD and FOMO to peace of mind?

It's part of the crypto-verse. FUD and FOMO are "necessities" in the the crypto market. Markets move alongside with these two.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust ICO Rating sites? on: September 17, 2018, 07:07:44 AM
They seem biased to me. A friend of mine who's doing an ICO told me that they paid 10ETH for 5 quality ratings and that's that! I noticed that some ICOs with good project, team, and good social media presence are struggling with getting good reviews.

With all that said, should it still be a factor to look at when investing in ICO?

True! I don't trust rating sites. I just use them to see if there are really interesting ICO's that are forthcoming.
I ask a lot in their Telegram community to do my own research.
15  Other / Meta / Re: Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements on: September 17, 2018, 06:40:00 AM
While I'm affected by this change, I support the moderator's decision.

This will minimize spam and account farming in bitcointalk.
Merits are hard to comeby and increasing rank is really difficult nowadays.

I think the "control" of spam and for those account farmers trying to get multiple accounts for bounties should be managed by the account / ICO projects doing bounties (KYC is needed).
That protects the interest of the project by protecting the ico participants by preserving value of the token (bounty hunters are known to dump coins) and for the betterment of post here in bitcointalk.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After August, Everyone focusing on October for the Bull Market! on: September 17, 2018, 06:10:52 AM
After August, now everyone is waiting for October month as the bull market. Everyone is dragging 2017 as a reference. What Do you think Actually? Do you think everyone's hope will break again or will they be released from this dormant market?

The market has a way of crushing everyone's hope. Things have changed a lot since 2013-2014. I still hope that crypto will recover by end of the year BUT I think the bear will extend until mid-2019.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long time will take to market rise ? on: September 13, 2018, 09:48:27 AM
IMO, market will recover by mid-2019.
There's still too much hope for crypto market to recover by end of 2018 but I'm cautiously optimistic and we shall see.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Really? Next Bitcoin is Litecoin on: September 13, 2018, 09:46:39 AM
Litecoin was created as a backup and as a "silver" since Bitcoin is considered the "digital gold". Liecoin is not meant to replace bitcoin but to complement it.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People say altcoins won't survive on: September 13, 2018, 09:44:43 AM
Yup. I think 90% of altcoins must die. Some are really just copycats with no real use case except to benefit the devs.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops and Bounties useful? on: September 11, 2018, 02:43:18 PM
Are Airdrops and Bounties really leading to a successful coin? There are so many out there this time.
Or are they mostly shitcoins, disappear or using your emails for phishing?
Have you ever participate to one with high profit? How long was wait for that?
I think most of them are just bullshit and time wasting and not worth putting some effort in.

They are most useful if you do not have any intentions of increasing your fiat / hard-earned cash exposure.
Only takes a little effort per week. Probably just 1 hour per week (10-15 minutes per day) - that is for a signature bounty.
