81  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC hit 120 PLN, (217/156 as valuable as MtGox high) - did anyone notice? on: June 22, 2011, 09:24:05 PM
so there's some opportunity for some arbitrage?
1. Buy bitcoins in USD
2. Sell bitcoins in PLN
3. Convert PLN to USD (hopefully this doesn't eat up all the profits)
4. profit!

85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it me or is everyone turning retarded and against eachother? on: June 20, 2011, 08:49:22 PM
they are trolls probably because they bought at the top and have lost a lot of money.  They have no one to blame but themselves, but instead they want to blame bitcoins for their poor decisions.  Since bitcoin is not a person, they come here to spew garbage, to channel their anger
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wild trading at tradehill on: June 20, 2011, 05:53:55 PM
It's the wild west!  Too much confusion in the markets for a stable price.  Ask yourself what has changed with bitcoins other than mt gox being hacked.  Has bitcoins been hacked?  no.  So what's the difference between now and 48 hours ago?  nothing

go back to the kiddie pool where you came from, it's obvious you can't swim in the ocean with the big fish
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Writing on the Wall on: June 20, 2011, 04:43:55 PM
Synaptic only likes to bitch because he's mad that he bought 10 btc at $32 and bought his mining equipment on newegg which he is returning today.  He no longer has a horse in the race and will just keep coming back as a troll to prove to everyone that he was right to buy high and sell low and that he was right on canceling his mining order from newegg without a restocking fee
89  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: newegg return question on: June 20, 2011, 04:33:10 PM
Hi, we're not Newegg.  Why don't you call them and ask them instead of waste time here
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tradehill -- it's 10:00 EST, where are ya? on: June 20, 2011, 03:55:41 PM
Tradehill, congrats to a smooth start this morning!  Site is slow, but that is to be expected with Mt Gox being closed
91  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: C'mon Tradehill Open up or give us an update on: June 20, 2011, 02:48:14 PM
they're back
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TradeHill - Who we are on: June 20, 2011, 02:45:24 PM
We're back again, trade away!
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TradeHill - Who we are on: June 20, 2011, 02:27:30 PM
The longer the exchanges are closed, the more bitcoins lose credibility.  Restore confidence back to the market, and reopen the exchanges.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TradeHill - Who we are on: June 20, 2011, 02:22:50 PM
Someone forget to turn the trading switch back on?  Please update the website if there is a new reopen time Tradehill
95  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: anyone have 4 cards working with Afterburner? on: June 20, 2011, 07:19:11 AM
I am having this issue with 4 - 6950s in a system.  I even reinstalled windows from scratch to make sure it wasn't a driver or registry issue.
I checked all the video cards and they are fine.  Also I do not have this problem when running 4 - 5830s in a system.

My last possibility is that the cards are pulling too much power from the PCI-E that the 4 card doesn't work.
Last solution I will try is to get a pcie to pcie extender with molex to take some load off the motherboard, but this doesn't come in util next week.
Let me know if you solve the problem.

BTW, power supply is not an issue, I have a 1200watt antec
96  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Shorted 20BTC by BitBills on: June 20, 2011, 05:51:29 AM
too quick to bad mouth a company before you even try to resolve the issue with the company...
Now if you had emailed them, contacted them and they ignored you for a month, it would have been worth posting
97  Economy / Economics / Re: Looks like people setting up local bitcoin exchanges. on: June 20, 2011, 05:42:13 AM
Of course be very careful when trading bitcoins locally.  You can easily meet someone, you bring the bitcoins, they bring the cash, but instead bring a gun
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TradeHill - Who we are on: June 20, 2011, 05:13:57 AM
When will tradehill open back up for trading?  It says a few hours on the website, but it's been 6...  I'd just like to know if it'll be 1 hour or 10 before we can start trading again?

They just updated their website:
We expect to resume normal operations 06/20/11 10 AM Eastern.

so this is good news for the guy that used the shred command on his wallet?
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very large wallet -- with lulz input on: June 16, 2011, 06:48:46 PM
why not split up the wallet?  Having all those chickens in 1 basket is not a good thing
Do you typically store chickens in baskets? Tongue

all eggs in 1 basket is too cliche, I like to use chickens in a basket
