I sold off any Darkcoin I had last week. Not sure why it's taking off now. Anyway I sold it because the darksend technology is cool and all, but I can't really see the benefit. For anonymous payments you can't really beat cash, and for businesses, saying you now take Darkcoin is another way of saying "If you're ashamed to buy our stuff, here is a solution!" Err, right

I don't think this is about "talking up theft" at all. It's about pointing out that auroracoin was insecure and that the developers didn't give a toss about it's insecurity and neither did it's community (because they weren't bothering to mine it but were waiting for free air-drops instead!). As an aside, since when is money "free"? You either earn it through mining, or earn it through work and use earned money to buy more coins. If it could be taken down so quickly and easily by some anonymous guy with a botnet, then the Icelandic govt could also have taken it down too. So what's the point of this coin (apart from making the developer rich on false hype)? If people are serious about cryptos, they'll make them robust against all comers. If they're not serious and are looking for a quick pump and collapse - well at least be honest that you are not serious, and don't whine when it collapses. fuck off. If China did ban bank accounts of exchanges, this would be the best thing ever.
1. BTC China and Huobi will be forced to develop exchange market based on individual bank accounts transacting with one another directly.
2. The publicity from the ban will raise people's awareness of bitcoin in china. People will try to understand what is going on and why the PBOC feels so threatened.
3. After the initial drop in price, people will realise that life goes on. The PBOC cannot succesfully ban everyone's bank account.

You no longer need to ask for a refund I need to look through the refund requests, processed refunds / transactions and find where the BTC is. Good news is I started when you asked and I think I figured it out, so I should have it fixed later today. Bad news is I believe the problem happened when people were rushing bobsag3, and if that is the case nothing will be done individually then, which will increase refund times. ok thanks. |
