301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHIFT] 1st ETH fork | UPDATE v0.4.0 | GUI WALLET on: September 26, 2015, 12:57:27 PM
It would be nice if you showed us your real nicknames (who is behind shiftteam). If you were developing other coins in past tell us about it, so miners/investors could know if you are skilled and is it worth to wait.

I'm not trying to FUD or HYPE. I know it's not a bitcoin clone, but I'm tired of newbie dev accoounts.

Regards

We have already proven our selfs. Its up to you, do what you think is best Smiley

Kind regards

Not everyone has to go public to prove they are worth our support, people in this forum view going public has a sign of are your a scammer of altcoins or not, then if they coin goes wrong they want to know who to blame and who to make memes of.

if they could get close to an ETH level of development they have proven them self's, then again if a public dev wants to take on the task of making shift better without all the crazy funding hype of what ETH has Shift is the right place.

Yes they have proven them self, but (it's only my opinion) for me it looks like shift has been made only as a test coin with no further purpose.
The main coin is EXP. SHF is only for testing: wallets, block time/size and technical stuff.

As I wrote it's only my opinion

Wow 8,5k$ of cap 249. position on cmc. Almost no support on buy orders, is shift dying with natural death?

I think there's something wrong with this site. I give them 1 more day
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNOFFICIAL] VNL | Vanillacoin 0.3.6 Beta | Node Incentives | ZeroTime on: September 25, 2015, 08:31:25 PM
IMO Monero guys are so pissed, because we took them a lot of potential investors (look at monero chart).
My advice for MONERO community sell part of your coins and buy Vanilla, after you earn a lot of money on VNL you can rebuy XMR at lower price.

What are you talking about?  VNL's  tiny volume is a trivial 11 BTC and the price is getting #REKT because it's a pump-and-dump scam.

OTOH, XMR's volume is 300 BTC, and prices have been very stable at ~fiddy cents for many months.

The only "potential investors" VNL took are n00b kids who click on faucets all day and can't tell that VNL is a scam with code stolen from Bitcoin.

Your comment only confirms what I wrote. We (Vanilla) have only correction in uptrend, you are in constant dump. I repeat it again "Compare XMR AND VNL CHARTS" and stop fighting with us.

Cheers

Was out for a while, how's the project going? Smiley

Progress, new gui wallet out soon. Working on another interesting function. Wont say more until we are sure that its working.

Regards

When can expect some more info about "interesting functions" and what about website

When the development stage is in beta. Makes no sense to announce stuff before they are semi-done. We are not here to hype anything if that is what you are hoping for.

Regards

I'm not hoping for hype. You said that we'll have some interesting function. I only asked when?

I am still waiting for the invite code.

All invite codes have been sent.

Kind of strange, a lot of links don't work on the site: ie. about us, terms of service, etc.....

Focusing on the features/technical details currently and will fill these gaps from the template soon.

When I'll see my btc balance after I rent my rig and second, what if I shut down my my rigs (of any reason) during renting, will I  be paid by used time?

I like this coin but diff is too big, for me more profitable is eth at the moment.

Take a look at shiftcoin.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: September 23, 2015, 10:36:41 PM
Not much with 10MHs, with a 3Ghs and 100 blocks per day, you may not mine a block in more than 24 hours.

I have a chance to win something by solomining with 10-20 MH/s ? What time would I have to wait to earn something ? Since the difficulty and the hashrate and gone down really quickly these past days, I should be able to do something, right ?

Too bad  Sad... So I'll keep mining on the pool.

You can switch your miner on Shiftcoin. It's more profitable than exp.

That was my concern also, which is the main motivator for me to raise the blocktime. Gustav Simonsson pretty much called me a moron for doing so, and Vitalik said "it doesnt matter if its inefficient", but the fact is, there is a limited amount of stales that can go in the chain as an uncle and higher blocktime target just makes ghost that much more effective. Is 30 seconds good, is 60 seconds good, or is bitcoins 10 mins good? I'm not certain but a good starting point for me was 1 min due to my experience running FRK which is 30 seconds. They however said that my previous experience was invalid because I didnt write a blog post about it giving simulations and lots of fuzzy feelgood fluff. Even though blocktime has been discussed on this forum since this forum was first made.

Make it 5.5 mins by tomorrow, because seems like your daughter has something like an anniversary... it might help. Smiley After all.. smart people know that truth can be found with sharing and discussions, not by bashing other people's opinions. Smiley

Can we focus on developing shift coin as a primary goal?

edit: Why you doesn't make one more pool to split the hashrate?

He's right there should be at least one more pool.

EDIT: Next time inform community first, when you ask pool operator to shut down pool of any reason.
