1  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium does not decode private key BIP38 anymore after scanning NFC wallet on: December 05, 2019, 09:22:48 PM
Is there another BTC wallet which can do the same? I dont want to wait that long.
Not to my knowledge... direct BIP38 "importing" support was never widely implemented as far as I can tell. Seems most wallets required you to decrypt it first Undecided

That's too bad. Let's hope that Mycelium has not completely stopped supporting BIP38. Thanks in any case for thinking along.

Omg... Is this your video? it's interesting if it's true but how the phone actually scan the small thing to open the mycelium directly and ask for a decrypt password?
I can't believe honestly, but it seems real? or he set the vol button up or down to open mycelium directly?

I mostly heard NFC in cards where you can load or topup it using phone with NFC supported.

It is a NFC chip the implant  Smiley The size is app. a rice grain.

That could be the case but it decoded the private key just fine until now. Sure, I can access my btc in a different manner but I like my nfc chip wallet  Cheesy
Just to clarify... you have your BIP38 (aka "encrypted" private key) stored on an NFC chip... and you used to be able to scan it using Mycelium, enter your passphrase and then Mycelium would decode it and then add the private key to your wallet? Huh

I've stored the BIP38 encrypted key on a chip implant under my skin Smiley

So whenever I want to spent some funds I transfer some to Mycelium from the chip out of my hand.

But thank you very much for the double check.

I've tried everything but after typing in my passphrase Mycelium halts.
Could it be processing the data? BIP38 takes a lot of cpu power to decrypt.

6  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Mycelium does not decode private key BIP38 anymore after scanning NFC wallet on: December 02, 2019, 12:07:28 PM
I guess it started with the recent update. I have access to my btc in other ways like private key QR code, so that is not a problem.

I've tried everything but after typing in my passphrase Mycelium halts.

I have unloaded my positions in Bytecoin the past few days. Dev's are making mistake after mistake. After the Poloniex delisting other exchanges wil follow making this coin useless.

This is what is wrong with this coin. A dev should take immediate action about this rediculous warning or inform investors.

For bitcointalk administrator

(About) WARNING

Everyone who has a normal and longer time tracking Bytecoin is perfectly clear that Bytecoin is OK. BCN_official is OK. Still, what would a novice think when he saw this kind of Warning?!

I agree. This is rediculous bad marketing. A novice would stay away from bytecoin after this warning.

Wow, hidden amounts as declared in the roadmap would make funds transferred with this coin untracable. At first I was a bit sceptical but these actions would make bytecoin the only real anonymous cryptocurrency.

If Trezor or Ledger would implement Bytecoin that would be fantastic!!

Bcn will not be back in binance and most of us don't care for it to be back on binance, there are better options such as being listed on Dexs.

This coin will never be of any value unless you have stable wallets. A friend tried to open a web wallet and was blocked also. Being blocked on the web wallet means you are also blocked on the mobile app.

Regarding the desktop wallet. People are not going to download gb's data and wait a few days before the download is done.

I'm blocked still for the wab wallet and the mobile app. I've mailed them 3 weeks ago and still no reply. There must be very much complaints.

Now I log in on my web wallet using VPN. No ordinary person will go through all this hassle.

I hold on to my bytecoins but it's a shame that we have the laziest dev's of all cryptocoins.

The web wallet is protected by various mechanisms that detect any suspicious activities, including DDoS and brute force attacks. It seems that you have entered your credentials incorrect several times, that's why your account got temporarily disabled.

While it takes some time to sync the DB at the Desktop wallet, it's the most reliable way to store your coins. However, you always may use the remote node, in order not to download the entire blockchain.

If your issue hasn't been fixed yet, please, PM me with your ticket ID or email, in order to solve it as soon as possible.

Sir, for some reason I cannot send you a PM. You don't accept PM's from newbies it says.

My ticket number:

"We have received your message and are working on it. a deWe have assigned your request dicated id: 2274. We aim to reply within 48 hours, but usually faster."

Thanks in advance.

Problem with the web wallet is when typing something wrong your ip gets blocked. This year a couple of times. It takes weeks before they react. All this time you cannot access your wallet.

I'll give it one last try and then I quit using the web wallet or mobile wallet.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.bytecoin.bcn

Mobile wallet is best option to move your coins from web wallet I'm using this one. It working fine without any serious issue so that I'm pretty sure you would love to use this app.

I was not fast enough with the authenticator code I guess. That happened to me a couple of times. I've been blocked from the mobile app also. They block user too fast. It can take weeks begore they reply.

There is no recovery seed also.

All other wallets and clones of this wallet work except QWERTY coin wallet. It ran the wallet one time a few months ago but after that never again. The updated versions don't start either. The wallet crashes after 2 secs. I just see the black introscreen.

I must have changed something in Windows or there is a cache active? My guess is that there is nothing wrong with the wallet. Any ideas?
