Hello, I can't seem to be able to connect to my rig remotely. I am using BAMt, see the IP address, and its connected directly to my router like my desktop is. Its connected to the internet. I use putty, plug in the IP, and I was able to log in for a few seconds and then got disconnected. Remote desktop connection, same thing (even more brief period I was able to log in). After a reboot, now I cannot log in either way for any period of time. (Network error, connection timed out)
I am pretty lost! Any help is appreciated thank you guys!

vbe7 doesnt change your bios by itself, it just loads the bios files. you have to boot up with ATIflash and use atiflash -f -p 0 newgpu0biosname.rom to flash your first GPU with the new bios named "newgpu0biosname" that you just edited with vbe7. You can dump your bios with gpu-z and open it with vbe7, edit, and flash with the bootup usb disk like this

so I want to make a rig like this; to keep it outside. What tools are needed? I have the box already, and the system, nothing else. Can I simply screw the motherboard into the plastic with a standard metal screw? Can I do this without a power drill? Will three fans like this be better blowing towards the GPUs if the case is open, and OUT if its closed? Thanks!

Hello, just a simple question.. my cgminer is ignoring my startup bat and runs with its "own" settings. I don't have a .conf file. Trying to run a 280x with these settings in the bat: setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://middlecoin.com:3333 -u user -p x -I 13 -w 256 -g 1
And, it starts up with intensity = 8, and I am getting 6-35 KH/s with my 280x. It sometimes works with very similar settings, it seems to be VERY random. What is going on? Thank you!

its auto running at 4-36 KH/s now with the exact same settings after a reboot... is it possiblel its using my onboard graphics card "sometimes"?

buying a miner is probably one of the best ways to launder money in the world

I will reboot, it auto runs the bat: -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 990 --gpu-memclock 1500 --temp-target 70 and I will be hashing along fine at 7xx KH/s. Then, it slows down to a halt, 4 KH/s. Video is fine, games even work fine. I close cgminer, restart, 1-36 KH/s. I reboot, 7xx KH/s. What gives? (windows 7 64 bit 13.11, with and without SDK 2.7)

I just saw the warning and updated to .4.8, my balance is showing as zero but im behind on the blocks. I am super worried, my face is flush and I am scared! How can I catch up or see if anything happened? This would be really devastating to me if I got exploited with the fake client

Wiser and Newbie I had all the same problems until I modified the xml file in the root subdirectory. There is a list of host IP addresses, not sure of latest one as I am on my travel laptop, but you put that in. Restart and it worked for at least 3 days before the memory leak killed it. Jan 3rd should have the 4.8 release with bug fixes to make it more stable.

I can't find this anywhere; anyone know? Why is this necessary? I even reinstalled and its still giving same error; let me log in briefly but showed a zero balance, so im both stuck and scared ! I am saying stuck, but I can get it to work, but it seems to stop working every day and I have to do something to fix it.

seem to have a huge amount of problems getting the nxt program working, works most of the time then gets random errors that break it. I have deleted the blockchain and transaction file and restored the backups, cleared cookies, closed browser, and shut down java, still getting this error: java.lang.nullpointerexception any help?

I am in Chiang Mai, jedicool is ignoring me and invadeit is out of stock I think ASrock extreme 4 is one of the best mining boards, AFAIK. I don't know which of the ones available here are decent though.

I keep getting an error message, generated in incorrect block, waiting for the next one. Did I miss a fork?

I am in Thailand and there is a very limited supply of motherboards available here, I don't know anywhere that ships here. I am looking for a motherboard and processor; I have all the other parts, but they are just sitting around! Will GB Z87-D3HP (Intel 1150) http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4519#ovbe a decent choice? I don't have many other options; they seem to lack AMD boards here. Asrock Extreme 3 is available but I think it would only support 3 GPUs, is that right? What intel processor would be decent?
|
|

so its best to avoid these motherboards right? I would think a list where they are NOT requiring a shortage would be even better.

is MSI the only viable brand? What about gigabytes? Are the small PCI slots (not the pci-express) usable for these cards?

I was running the software just fine, but today after rebooting I am getting the error "java.lang.NullPointerException" on the localhost page. What happened ?
I think you have to replace blocks.nxt and transactions.nxt files with their .bak earlier copies and restart NXT, see if that helps. This worked perfectly. Thank you.
