On dgex a see small orders. How did they sell from 84000000$(coinmarketcap) to 67000000$(coinmarketcap) their nxt??
The market cap is just math, current market price * total number of coins If market price drops .01; the impact is .01 * 999,997,986 NXT. ($1mil)

why i only get 1 alias on in my account that i apply more than 10, it is 3days pass i dont think time is the reason, there must something wrong, someone knows?
You can check your aliases here: https://localhost:7875/nxt?requestType=listAccountAliases&account=YOURACCOUNTAliases are added manually for the time being according to the info on the blockchain viewer: "ALIASES (until stable, updated manually every 24h)" yes i checked,it is only one i dont know what happened That's strange. I applied for loads, can see one on my account page atm, but with that link I can see all the ones I applied for. Hopefully a developer can help you out.

Is there any reliability in the "you can generate the next block in" calculation? Mine fluctuates from 5 hours to 20 days and then back again. Also, maybe a stupid question, but if I never generate my own block (I'm assuming this is possible considering I have 28k NXT), will I ever generate any fees? Or are most of us just holding the coins for appreciation in value?

Your aliases are there, the nxt explorer just has trouble with some account's aliases. It just needs a little work yet. My local client says you have the following aliases: {"aliases":[{"alias":"meizirkki","uri":"nothingyet"},{"alias":"loviisa","uri":"nothingyet"},{"alias":"aces","uri":"nothingyet"},{"alias":"roope","uri":"nothingyet"},{"alias":"Kuikka","uri":"nothingyet"},{"alias":"windrider","uri":"nothingyet"},{"alias":"Kuisma","uri":"nothingyet"},{"alias":"tampere","uri":"nothingyet"},{"alias":"ensiferum","uri":"nothingyet"}]}

The FAQ basically says it is a véry rough guideline, so I myself don't pay attention to it anymore.

Raspberry Pis are a cheap way to stand up lots of new nodes fast to stabilize the network from DDoS attack more so than using them for forging new NXT coins.
I guessed as much - I'm running 3 nodes to do my small part to help... I just wonder if some people will mistakenly buy PIs thinking they are mining machines for NXT - which it is clear they are not and they would have been better increasing their stake... Of course if they want to buy 5 or 10 PIs to help the network that is fine but are they clear it won't help them get more NXT unless someone is paying them to do it of course. They are cheap way to always keep 1 node unlocked without messing with your primary computer. They would also be a cool way to have secure remote access to NXT. Just buy more RPis... Part of the profit goes to RPi Foundation

Even EVEN more nodes deployed!
Just deployed 10 nodes to Toyko! That's node71-node80. DNS is still rolling out.
That's 81 nodes in 8 different geographic locations!
Up nxt: California!
Status
Nodes deployed: 81 Nodes queued: 12
Data centers: Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Northern VA, Hong Kong, Sydney, London, Toyko
Sponsorship
To reach the goal of 100 public nodes by Jan 3, we need only 19'500 nxt! So close! To support increased network robustness, please send 3000 nxt to 11243542237777034551 to sponsor a node until the end of March. Vanity nodes are available for 4500 nxt with your own hallmark and name.
Thank you to everyone working so hard to help NXT be a success.

I was running the software just fine, but today after rebooting I am getting the error "java.lang.NullPointerException" on the localhost page. What happened ?
I think you have to replace blocks.nxt and transactions.nxt files with their .bak earlier copies and restart NXT, see if that helps.

about to sell 50% of my NXT back into BTC. NXT is crashing hard from these attacks and sudden price rise! Not to mention there are at least 70 people with around 13 MILLION NXT who have made 6000% profit. Yep, I would be tempted also.

You gotta wonder about people making such a statement. Who in their right mind makes that before selling instead of after?

Now is a good time to buy in, the price went down, due to a big stakeholder cashing out!
Still too high imo, but I bought a few anyways. Looking to buy more lower. There's also a 1.8M sell order at .0001. Admirable, but still too high. Drop it down lower friend. Distribute that wealth. You prolly only paid .04 BTC for it, don't be greedy .

Correction - 400-500,000% from original approx cost per coin at .000000021BTC. EDIT: And that's only BTC return. BTC at the time was worth 6-7 less.. So if you want to hear USD/fiat return... you're talking 2,400,000-3,000,000%. EDIT2: I must say, that's on a per coin basis. Of course, they're not gonna be able to sell all those coins like at that rate, but it should give you an idea.

Does anyone else think this might have been a friendly DDoS?
It caused Cfb to tighten up the software and it caused us to strengthen the network with an explosion of new nodes and many more in the works. If someone really wanted to embarrass Nxt, they could have waited until we were out of alpha stage and they could have hit us with a much stronger attack. If it's malicious, why bring it on early and easy? It has done us no harm and quite a bit of good.

Agreed; honestly wouldn't mind another round before Jan 3 and help us see how much better we are

I think your analysis of how it was on net helpful is accurate but i doubt it was intended to be helpful. probably just an amateur.
