So, can be any way of accessing stats of the miner from outside ?
in 1.17 it cant be reached by IP-address of the rig, only localhost
Please advice.

So hi could we monitor status of the miner ? apimonitor port exists but how to check status from outside ?

That's normally used with some external Software or directly by Linux OS. What OS are you using now? Well i was monitoring my rigs on my cellphone via software of couse ( in case of CM and PM) , but now i wanted to fetch any info on 44444 port ( default api port ) and it doesnt work. Developer mentioned that it now ( in 1.17) bind to local port only, maybe thats why? I suppose you did it. Have you add the parameter --apiport 44444 ? Thank you all for response , ive tried sertainly to access it by browser from PC in the same network segment , but with no luck. even https was tried --apiport tried default (444444) , different (4444) , same resault. Please advice, can you fetch this onfo from your rigs ? UPDATE: Some investigation on the rig : 1. telnet ip-of-thew-rig 4444 - no go 2. telnet localhost 4444 - GO. So developer closed api access from ouside the miner . Pitty  |

hello there i just download PhoenixMiner 5.1 and try to run the bat file but after running it pop up an error that from my window script host

Hello! Since yesterday my ether rigg (6x AMD RX 580 8gb) has gone down from 174mhz (29mhz per gpu) to 60mhz (10mhz per gpu) .... does anyone know why it may be?  Are you using Windows 10? Then most likely it was some forced Windows update which included new drivers for your AMD GPUs. I ran into this problem a few times in the past. It would either not hash at all because all the overclocking settings were reset OR it would hash at a slow speed because compute mode was disabled by default. It was a pain in the butt to disable but somehow with some reg hack I was able to prevent any updates from happening again. Search the web and there is a guide on how to disable Windows 10 updates. Its pretty indepth and you need to block access to certain DNS hosts. You should look at WUB ( Windows Update Blocker) - please don t take it as AD. Ive myself lost alot of nerv trying to stop this mindfk.... feathure to shut up. Schedules cripts , disabling servicers , LTSB ver. and etc and etc. Then i found this tool. You could enable WU any time to install update like .NET framework if needed. Then shut the f. WU again in one click. |

I plan to buy a rig with 8x RX 570 4gb.
I read somewhere that it is possible to insert 1x RX 580 8gb as first GPU and that the rig works normally even when the ETH exceeds the 4gb DAG file.
Is it true?

Hi. It will continue to work on 8gb card. DAG file >4Gb cant suit into 4Gb GPU. Each GPU have to wokk with its own DAG file fitted in RAM. |

finaly we should sell our 4GB graphic cards or we can mine ETH in future?
This is good idea , but how can you sell 50+ or 100+ those GPUs ? for its weight ?  Ive switched for 8Gb in a couple of rigs but its so hard to find more or less convinient deal Can mine Ravencoin, or sell and then buy used 8gb cards.... or if high power cost get 5700XT??? Vega cards can get 50MH, so also good if get good price on them. You can use Phoenixminer to still mine (not good with the display card though...) on 4gb cards, and use claymore to still set -rxboost (set bogus pool on claymore......), or set the REF param with amdmemorytweak.... Well , i can sell 4gb GPU for $80-90. How many of it a have to sell to by one 5700XT ? So certainly il stay on 4Gbs and will mine whatever i can. |

As a stupid dumb quick solution for 4gb cards if you did not mod your bios...
Run claymore v15 and after it applies the straps just right click on the cmd bar and hit edit -> mark. This will pause the program. Your timings and straps are applied.
Now go run say....phx miner with basically no settings except your pool since the GPU settings are done and you can continue mining for a bit until you have time to mod your bios/linux etc.

That is an interesting question. It will depend on if the DAG has been loaded or not. If that DAG is loaded with CM than it won't load for Phoenix since the memory is already in use. The only way to find out for sure is to try it out.. It works. Ive checked that. EdiT: take attantions that its not very stable, miners could conflict each other. |

An operation on a socket could not be performed because the system lacked sufficient buffer space or because a queue was full You need to increase OS VMEM size to 2Tb , sure will help just kidding your issues are not bkz of OS virt mem size. I suppose you need to IPS schema , like check USB 4g dongle, ore share internet on our smarthpone with USB wifi dongle. Maybe netwok interface of MB makes these issues. Best regards. |
