1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we avoid crypto taxes with other users assistance? on: March 16, 2024, 02:02:31 PM
Can Tax Obligations be avoided with some help from users living in Tax Free Countries?

As we go deeper and put ourselves in the realm of cryptocurrency world, the issue of taxes remains a pressing problem and concern for investors of countries where they obligate you to pay a percentage of the assets you own. Especially in some regions such as Japan or Belgium, Honestly, what made me think like this is reading about many topics about the new laws and the amount of taxes crypto users are giving to governments including some users in this forum.

Moreover, that's why users are always searching for legitimate or illegitimate ways to reduce their tax obligations. This made me think about collaboration with individuals living in countries where we don't pay any taxes, to offer some insights that might help mitigate tax obligations?

Of course , there are professionals who deal in finance who can help you save taxes. Like CAs can help, but you need to hire some guy who has the information related to crypto. This can be a young guy who himself invests in crypto and is aware of all the regulations related to this.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins Fake? on: November 06, 2023, 10:25:53 AM
Only some altcoins are scams. But some altcoins like ETH and litecoin are genuine projects. If someone can find genuine projects from newly launched altcoins, he can still make a lot of money with crypto.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Brand completely associated with crypto on: October 30, 2023, 11:43:22 PM

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LastPass hack - move your crypto assets to a more secure place right now! on: October 30, 2023, 11:41:02 PM
This is just the beginning, such incidences will only rise from here. Hackers are targeting everything related to crypto that can be targeted in bulk. This is because even old people are associated with crypto and they are easy target of these hackers.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bitcoin investors! on: May 15, 2023, 07:52:48 AM
People who really understands what investment is all about, took time to plan and scale their income weight, Period of plan and period of investment. Bitcoin investors know when and how to invest weather trading or mining there is an appropriate time for it. And as investor you're not expected to hit and run or even eat up your profit. You've to give it time to grow hip hop and accumulate more. That's why in most cases I trust bitcoin investment to any forex or others channels, in bitcoin one hardly loss it all especially if the value of units coins remain safely.

How do you know a good investors?
* they're futuristic
* they're planners
* they're financial manager
* they're risk managers
* they're projected

That's how to know a good investors of bitcoin who do not see challenges but the possibilities of making their future work.
Bitcoin is a good assets to invest on but it's also has it own risk which you must learn.

One trait you forgot to mention, they should be neutral. They should not make decisions based on emotions but they should decide according to facts and past performance.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in Student Life on: May 15, 2023, 07:51:33 AM
In my country, students do not have enough money to invest in bitcoins. They have a bank account but there is very limited cash there which is meant for taking care of there daily expenses. There is no culture of part time work here so they are dependent on parent income. Also, if the parents come to know about their investment in new options like crypto, they can scold them. So, first focus is to develop skills in college. If some time is left after college, they can do part time work to earn money. If there are savings, then  they can invest some money in crypto.

Why not hold an official vote on this issue in order to understand and evaluate the demand of the forum members?
Because that can be abused by votes from new accounts from spammers.
8  Other / Meta / Re: Binance pays Google Ads with the word "bitcointalk" on: January 26, 2023, 06:31:23 AM
It might appear unethical to members here but it is not illegal. Their advertising team must have coordinated well with the legal team before deciding keywords.
9  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: January 25, 2023, 11:09:24 AM
Lately I've been wondering if we can find out who ignored us.
Is there any way to find out who ignored us?  Huh

Yes, it is possible. You just need to PM him to ask him if you have your doubts.
10  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Acquiring bitcoin with cash - what, why, how on: January 20, 2023, 08:16:01 AM
Does the UK still have crypto atms? I read they were being considered "unauthorised" but don't know if they were actually banned or if it was more something the fca put out in writing.

I did an exchange a few years ago for a cash deposit (back before localbitcoins required kyc) and it felt the safest way to do things - the buyer was very communicative throughout too and there was no meeting up or chance they'd used counterfeit funds.

This site lists operational ATMs in UK location wise

https://coinatmradar.com/country/225/bitcoin-atm-united-kingdom/

I checked news related to legality and there are old articles stating that these ATMs are illegal as declared by the regulator. I will suggest you to wait for replies from members here who are from UK. They can explain ground reality in this case.

13  Other / Meta / Re: Merrit? This got to be a joke. on: August 08, 2018, 04:30:03 PM
Hi all!

I find it highly annoying that this merrit system is still around.
It is supose to be stimulating people to make good quality posts or topics, but i doesnt seems to work this way.

I see alot of people selling there merrit to whoever wants it, is this even legit? It means people with multiple accounts can dominate bitcointalk, earn the most bounty rewards( multiple with more accounts) and can give merrit out to themselves and can get alot of bounty stakes, while other who do there best arent even able to join because they cant reach member status!

Even more annoying is the fact that members and above( not all of you ) just post crappy posts all over the place, and keep spamming away with no consequences. Its just sick, like in the real world, the rich get richer, its insane do something about it.
Greetings!  Undecided

You realized the shortcomings of merit system so late ? Or is this the frustration of not getting any merit till now ?
14  Other / Meta / Re: All bounty hunters are from Philippines?? (PROOF) on: August 02, 2018, 05:13:28 AM
Hello! I'm from the Philippines and I'm quite surprised of how many Filipinos are participants of that campaign, because to be honest, not a lot of people know about bitcoin in here. I live in Manila - which is supposed to be the most "advanced" city in my country - but even so, the number of people who know about cryptocurrency or that it even exists in this city is very low, even among teenagers and young adults. However, I guess it's not fair to assume that that's a result of multiaccounting. Just my two cents  Wink

Nice to see a very relevant comment here from a member who can give real insight to the current situation.

Just because someone has mentioned in the spreadsheet or his profile that he is from a certain place, it does not become true. However, I was not much surprised to read OP. Freelancing is on rise there and thus some people might be doing this with multiple profiles. If what Op claims is true, there is a strong possibility of this only especially after this comment.
15  Other / Meta / Re: How recognized are you in the bitcointalk world? on: August 02, 2018, 05:10:37 AM
There is one newbie on the list. deftnerd. IRL Adam Brown.

He has only 8 posts, no merit. Last time he logged was on October 09, 2017. But he received a lot of green trusts from his topic, where he sold steam codes

Consider that as an exception.

Even the most carefully designed algorithm will pick some of such users based on some particular activity or advantage associated with that member. Him getting lot of trsut through the way you mentioned strengthens the fact why one should not judge a  member only based on trust.
16  Other / Meta / Re: Is majority doing merit abuse here ? on: July 17, 2018, 06:48:44 PM
Compile your list and then ask someone on Default Trust to review it and tag them if they are convinced that it is an abusive use of the Merit system.

As no action had been taken on the reported members, I will consider your suggestion. By asking you mean sending them a PM ? I am just confirming so that I do not break the forum rule of sending unsolicited emails.
17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I’m planning to invest some btc in profitcoins. should I do it? on: May 04, 2018, 04:19:11 AM
I came across a news report about profitcoins.io and now I’m wondering if I should invest some btc there or not. What do you guys think?

Instead of investing your btc somewhere you should just buy more btc. When btc will hit 1M in 2020 you will thank me for this advice lol Smiley
18  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to avoid bounty scams in bitcointalk on: May 04, 2018, 04:17:48 AM
Some more tips:

1) Go for projects where you see reputed members applying.

2) Ensure that the funds are escrowed.

3) It is also a good idea to drop a pm to the manger before joining, especially if this is his first campaign to see how responsive he is.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says being rich is determined by chance rather than intelligence or talent on: April 23, 2018, 03:07:43 PM
Yes, I believe it can be. But being rich and successful is not only a matter of chance, but more of personal qualities! What about this qualities build the prerequisites for the smile of fortune?

I agree. I do not think that being rich is determined by chance, it happens if you develop certain traits.  Most of the money making tools require patience, whether it is a business or an investment. You'll  need to remember that most investments do much, much better if they are left alone. Trading in and out of the market or changing your mind frequently can come with higher fees or other monetary setbacks. Time are investments best friend.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is trading cryptocurrency different from stocks and forex trading? on: April 23, 2018, 03:05:30 PM
In case of crypto, there are less options to choose and thus it is easy. With stocks, you need to research more. Now understand that nobody can successfuly predict the stock market 100% every time, but a financial professional can at least make possibly better picks than you.

If you've finally realized that you need to be investing your money, and you don't know how to invest or what to invest in, start with mutual funds. Watch your money grow, and if you ever feel confident enough you can buy your own stock picks. Until then, don't waste precious time, start investing right away!
