I did it. Will you post the final state of the vote?

Is it worth to create lower nnonces? Or just create from 100k? i only wanna use 4GB but i wanna mine some coin what are you thiunk?

4gb is.. not a lot. Be prepared to do a whole lot of waiting, but hey, you might just get lucky! Simply start creating from 0, I don't assume there's any difference in 'efficiency' on higher nonces, unless you actually have more (size)
The amount of nonces you can generate on 4gb is around.. 1600. So you'll be at a pretty big disadvantage compared to some of the 10TB+ miners.

I know 4GB is not much ,but i not have 100$ for new HDDs and my HDDs are working fine so i not wanna get another. Who invest more get more back. This is the problem with every cryptocoin. There should be a coin where the lower hashrate get more coin. And is there somebody who know what is deadline means?

Any benchmarks yet about plot size limits aka what can you pc scan within 2000 seconds? Cheesy

it should be within 240 seconds to be exact, based on OP post of blocktime is 4 minutes

Okay so SSD Read speed id around 500 mb/s -> 120 gb?

i am updated my post, you dont need to read whole plot data each block, its only on relevant scoop, based on previous block hash

So basicly more machines don't really help in mining, just speed up plot generation because block chance depends on plot size?

Unless of course you reach your machines plot read limit but if it only reads 0.024% of your plot this would be around a few TB, hundreds?

More size of HDD = more found block. Like in every coin invest more get more.
406  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin mining Pool REWARDS on: August 11, 2014, 11:41:46 AM
I'm trying to build a public Bitcoin mining pool but I'm get stuck at some of the code  Undecided
If any one can help me set it up will get

0.5 of the pool fee or a free iOS app for there website! Grin

I have lots of coding expense but not in Bitcoin / Ubuntu

Also if possible how to host it on host gator

You will need a bitcoindaemon and a pool software (like p2pool) they have to run while the pool run. So you will need a VPS or a server. And much (>20-30GB) space.

Still no answer on the meaning of the deadline...
{"result":"deadline: 2963698"}

Does this mean I don't find out whether i mined a block for 2963698 seconds / 34.3 days?
Seems a bit..... long to me?

I found more than 20 share. Most of the block have big nnonce >20000.

if there is two disk,disk0 and disk1 , how can i tell the miner the other disk's plots? or I need to setup two miners? if setup two miner , 1TB and 2 500GB which is faster Huh

Create link to the files  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753194.aspx.

thanks.and another question, if i create 100Gb plots, can i copy the plots to another disk directly? or i need to create another plots in disk?
I already asked that question earlier - no you cannot - you will be mining on duplicate data so will see no benefit

thanks,, if i use mklink , it should be hardlink or softlink?
seems softlink can't work normally Huh
and can't set up hardlink ethier

have you tryed "mklink filename_to filename_from"? in the target folder?

One more question

Let's say I wanna use 20gb of my drive
what will be the proper command to enter?

20GB = 20480MB = 20971520 KB
Each nnonce require 256KB data so: 20971520 / 256 = 81920

run_generate pub_key 0 81920 memory number_of_CPU_cores_to_use

pubkey is in address.txt
0 is the first nnonce
81920 is the last
memory in MB to use

If you wanna make more then use the 81921 as the first nnonce.

Okay so I'm up and mining and now finding shares.  I've found a few potential blocks i.e. I have deadlines, but the last one was {"result":"deadline: 784233"}
Does this really mean I need to wait 784233 seconds / 9.0768 days before I can see whether that share is accepted?

I found 2 shares. But no payout from block.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient Proof of HDD Capacity Mining | No IPO, No Pre on: August 11, 2014, 10:51:05 AM
Still can't get address.

Using windows 7.
When I run "run_dump_address" as admin, it doesn't create address.txt
when I run it as a normal user it creates a blank address.txt

Used in passphrases.txt the 12 word combination from wallet.
Even installed everything from scratch to get a new passphrase, still acts the same.

Any solution??

Edit: found the problem.
"java is not recognized as an internal or external command"...

Any quick setup for this? or shall i dig the java pages?

Add where_java_installed_path/bin to the PATH variable. (Edit envinorment varaibles).

What is the best staring_nnonce and number if nnonces?

I think i'm gona give it up. This is imposible.
You just have to be on the top to get the prize. These are the current leaders-

1   kristijanbrki?
2   krisztiángáncs
3   pauloteixeira

yeeesss

I'm first Smiley

you can also change the ? to ć

that happens a lot, guess the site doesn't reckognize the code

can you also put the prizes in an escrow?

I would be much more comfortable buying hints when I'm sure you won't scam us
-------------------------

I'm also suggesting you sell hints instead of answers

stuck on level 4, it's too damn hard, I got trough the first 3 levels really fast, the fourth one however

I'm stuck here for over an hour, I literally visited every website there is to visit, made at least 300 entries Cheesy

even tried my own birthday xD

I'm stuck at lvl 3. I tryed everything that i could. It's too hard for me.
