What kind of sick, twisted person wants to dig up dead bodies, this article asks? Well the ghoulish Memphis mayor does.

There's nothing wrong with this. They're former people. There's nothing there but rotting flesh now.
282  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mexican drug war - 60,000 dead, 26,000 missing in 6 years on: July 17, 2015, 05:02:15 PM

They were killed by Mexican gang members, many of whom come across the border illegally to sell drugs or purchase weapons.

But the PC side is more worried about alleged "racism" than the actual body count, and ease by which the gangsters sneak into the US

You obviously agree with Trump that these many, many Mexican deaths and disappearances are a "good start" and will cut down on the rapists, murderers, etc. coming into the U.S. illegally from Mexico.

What right-wingers fail to understand is that the tremendous amounts of money made by drug cartels from narcotic sales in the U.S. will not be given up without a fight. This means a barrier like the Berlin Wall would be needed to just slow them down, stopping them is impossible. How many conservatives and neoconservatives would be willing to pay the massive expenses needed to build and maintain border security of this magnitude?

Congressional Republicans can't agree which segment of the population to steal the money from necessary to maintain the highway system. The highways are a major tool of the very rich and Big Business, used by them to maximize profits. If the House AND Senate Republicans have allowed themselves to disappoint their political benefactors for so long on this issue, they will have no qualms about ignoring the pleas of the conservatives and neoconservatives when it comes to border security. (Also forgotten by the right wing, the GOP does NOT want to cut off the source of cheap labor their friends in Big Agriculture, and others, need to keep profits growing.)

Throw into the mix that the border security demanded by the right-wingers is just too expensive for what it might accomplish. After all, how many members of the one percent or corporate officers are touched personally by violence caused by the murderers and rapists Trump mentions?

Only insignificant citizens (you know, America's working class) are affected, the important Americans are beyond the reach of the criminals from south-of-the-border. The Donald knows this, and like other Republican politicians, is simply building on the right-wingers' own fear, using it against them to gain their support. As if the conservatives and neoconservatives were not already afraid of their own shadows.
283  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mexican drug war - 60,000 dead, 26,000 missing in 6 years on: July 17, 2015, 04:44:37 PM

More than 60,000 people have been killed from 2006 to 2012 due to drug-related violence, during former Mexican President Felipe Calderon's six-year administration, according to Human Rights Watch. During that same six year period, 26,121 people have gone missing in Mexico, though authorities don't have data about how many of the disappearances are connected with organized crime.

Since December 1, 2012 when Enrique Peña Nieto assumed the presidency, overall intentional homicide numbers have declined slightly, but the number of reported kidnappings continues to climb.

Just for perspective, that's about 4X as were killed by ISIS last year, and more than 10X the number of Americans who died in Iraq.

Sadly the PC pushers are more concerned about Donald Trump making an insensitive comment about "Mexicans" than about these gang members sneaking across the boarder and waging their war on our shores.

People that agree with Trump will say those tens-of-thousands of dead and missing Mexicans are a good start.

We wouldn't want to be too PC and believe some of the dead and missing were innocent by-standers, would we?
284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is a social norm in America that you feel is ridiculous? on: July 17, 2015, 04:13:23 PM
Social norms that are deemed acceptable, not "what I think is wrong with america".
What do you dislike in the life here in the USA but were not ready to express your opinion.
I know that many social norms are not acceptable but who is ready to tell us which?

Adults wearing "kid's clothing" like American Eagle and Abercrombie and Fitch.

Obesity in general.

Overconsumption of media (with average American spending 40 hours per week in front of some type of screen).
285  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Watch: Obama Scolds CBS’s Major Garrett for Question About US Hostages in Iran on: July 16, 2015, 06:27:44 PM
I think that was a good response. By requesting the release of the hostages as part of the deal, that would give Iran a HUGE leveraging tool. By leaving them out entirely, it removes both sides ability to leverage the situation to their advantage. Imagine what Iran could of asked for in exchange, and watch the Media pounce on it as a capitulation if they gave in.

Seems like a big departure from what he said about the Bergdahl exchange:

“I make absolutely no apologies for making sure that we get back a young man to his parents and that the American people understand that this is somebody’s child and that we don’t condition whether or not we make every effort to try to get them back.”
286  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UCLA provides internship opportunities to illegal immigrants on: July 16, 2015, 05:50:16 PM
How do you advertise this?

Like, I feel like if I was ICE, I would sit outside until the illegal showed up, and then simply detain them.

But then again, we invited illegals into the white house and they managed to walk in and out untouched.
287  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Unarmed Mississippi man died after 20-minute police chokehold, witnesses say on: July 16, 2015, 05:15:06 PM
The driver a drunk witness wow not to credible.

There are 3 more witness who all gave matching accounts, one of whom works in LE.

"Sanders’ attorneys said they were present this week while three witnesses, whom they declined to identify due to safety concerns, separately gave matching accounts of what happened to investigators from the Mississippi bureau of investigation (MBI) during filmed interviews.

According to the attorneys, the three witnesses are related to Sanders by marriage and one has 10 years of experience working in law enforcement. "

But you have the strategy down, the character assassination will begin as soon as they break the anonymity of these thugs.

But here we are again. No crime committed but a man dead anyway.
288  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What you need to know about 7-state Pentagon super-drill on: July 16, 2015, 10:58:45 AM
That's interesting! It is taking place in the Southern States, and they do have illegals from Central and South America as well as the Caribbean. It's not difficult for terrorists to come in with them and set something off.

I think I did hear about some uranium being missing.

No, your basic terrorist clown, has no ability to construct a nuclear device.

As far as I know, there are 3 unaccounted for American nuclear bombs.

The renowned hardman actor and Republican NRA activist Chuck Norris also waded in the debate in his column on the conservative WND website.

“Concerned Texans and Americans are in no way calling into question our brave and courageous men and women in uniform. They are merely following orders. What’s under question are those who are pulling the strings at the top of Jade Helm 15 back in Washington. The US government says, “It’s just a training exercise.” But I’m not sure the term “just” has any reference to reality when the government uses it,” wrote the 75-year-old.

It's called Jesse Helm 15 and it's a military exercise which will cover seven states from Florida to California. ..but it's causing quite a bit of angst in Texas. They wonder if the government wants to protect them from ISIS, or to take over Texas?

Well Texas is prepared, and has its national guard ready...just in case.

Its not really about ISIS.

The US government is preparing for a nuclear bomb detonation on American soil.
290  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teenager Who Planned to Join ISIS Is Jailed for More Than 3 Years on: July 16, 2015, 10:06:47 AM

A teenage extremist who plotted to fight for ISIS and said 'all gay people should be killed' has been jailed for more than three years.

Syed Choudhury, a student in Cardiff whose family are from Bradford, trawled the internet for terrorist material and told friends he 'would do anything' to get to Syria.

The 19-year-old started researching flights to get to the ISIS-controlled region in February last year.

Choudhury downloaded a video of a mass execution and had accessed websites called '10 reasons to join ISIS' and 'Turkey travel, Jihadist Highway', the Old Bailey heard.

The teenager was arrested on November 16 last year after being spotted by a local anti-terror officer.

When in custody, he spoke about bringing Sharia Law to the UK and said he dreamed of dying fighting for ISIS.

Choudhury pleaded guilty to preparing for acts of terrorism under section 5 of the Terrorism Act.

Can anyone explain the allure for teenagers in the west to be compelled to join ISIS in Syria? I simply cannot understand this and there’s been way too many incidents to be a coincidence.

I dislike when stories call these people "teenagers" to try and give the appearance they are young children making mistakes... rather than adults choosing to harm others on purpose... stop painting the picture these are young and dumb kids...he's an adult... hold him accountable like the adult he is... this is similar to when adult criminals have a family that releases a 12 year old innocent looking picture to the media, rather than the pot smoking gun toting gang sign throwing thug they were in more recent pictures... I hate the ability to sway opinion and lessen the blow by painting a gentle headline to encourage a gentle approach...

(however they did use the word extremist, so thats a start, now just get rid of the teenage part from softening the blow)

292  Other / Politics & Society / President Obama admires Putin’s help over Iran nuclear talks on: July 16, 2015, 09:35:28 AM
President Barack Obama has said that his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin helped the United States to conclude the prolonged nuclear negotiations with Iran despite tensions between Washington and Moscow.

“Russia was a help on this. I’ll be honest with you. I was not sure given the strong differences we are having with Russia right now around Ukraine, whether this would sustain itself,” the US president said during an interview with the New York Times on Tuesday.

“Putin and the Russian government compartmentalized on this in a way that surprised me, and we would have not achieved this agreement had it not been for Russia’s willingness to stick with us and the other P5-Plus members in insisting on a strong deal,” he added.

Iran and the P5+1 group of countries -- the US, Britain, France, China, Russia and Germany -- reached a conclusion on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in the Austrian capital of Vienna on Tuesday.

The JCPOA will put limits on Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for the removal of sanctions against the Islamic Republic.

According to the text of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, Iran will be recognized by the United Nations as a nuclear power and will continue its uranium enrichment program.

There is something I like in this President: he is showing to be a real statesman. This last move, to show appreciation for Putin's behavior about Iran is a nice move. This is a clue that this administration is planning to do something to restart from what Bush administration did WITH Russia. It's just a little step, but a meaningful step.
293  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iran nuclear deal: '99% of world agrees' says Obama on: July 16, 2015, 04:30:12 AM

I never thought I would live to see a sitting President betray not only our country but put our allies into a corner where they need to pr-emptively attack or roll the dice and hope they aren't wiped out in a nuclear blast. Obama has found a great way to start a war and not be part of it. (except to supply the nukes)

Truth to tell, I think that had Jimmy Carter had a second term he also would eventually have gotten around to doing something just about as dangerous to the United States and to the West. I don't know what that would have been but both men have amply demonstrated an innate ability to screw up anything in the name of leftist appeasement philosophy.
294  Other / Politics & Society / Iran nuclear deal: '99% of world agrees' says Obama on: July 16, 2015, 04:13:03 AM
He challenged critics of Tuesday's deal to present a better alternative - seen as a veiled reference to his Republican opponents in Congress.

The UN Security Council will vote next week on a resolution endorsing the agreement, Iran says.

In return for an end to sanctions, Iran will limit its nuclear activities.

The president has said there will be a robust debate with Congress.

Wow! I guess that when U.S. leftists totally refused to hold their Political Messiah responsible for his lies concerning Obamacare (If you like your current Health Care plan and M.D. then you can keep them) that he experienced this sense of anti-ethical freedom to the degree that he no longer worries about being caught out in any lie whatsoever. 99% of the world does NOT want this particular piece of crap nuclear deal with Iran!Hmmm . . . and so what to discuss about this? There is nothing to discuss in reality. The GOP leadership have repeatedly proved that they have the collective political spine of a worm and so after much blustering and threats they will ultimately sign off on Obama's obscenity of a 'deal' with Iran; an Iran that by the way is laughing at the United States over this deal.

So there is nothing to debate. It's effectively a done deal. I just wonder WHY leftists WANTED to do this sort of thing to the United States of America and to the West in general when they deliberately selected a first term U.S. senator with ZERO meaningful national level experience to become president and then put him into office again after he amply demonstrated that as president he is and shall always be a radical nation-hating Community Organizer. Why in the world were leftists DETERMINED to do THAT to this nation and to the West?
