Calling 520 within 48hrs. Then down to 380, then we're done with the bubble and can resume moon mission.

PS. Please don't take this as advice, I no longer trade BTC, I just enjoy charting it Smiley

Id love to hear your reasons =)

Im calling for lows too but more like 560. there is a solid as rock trend line to get through.

Here's a chart, not made by me, but this guy has been consistently getting things right, even called the gox crash before it even happened (chart wise not news). I'm still learning about EW so my chart looks like a london tube map and not really readable by anyone but me.

No, he did host the forum on his servers for a short period of time, but it was moved a long time ago.

Thanks for answering, I asked because there is a lot of discussion about it today on live chats and obviously this was the best place to ask.
4  Other / Meta / Re: Does Mark Karpeles own this forum? on: March 16, 2014, 11:21:15 PM
Why would you make such an assumption?
Even if he'd own this forum, I still wouldn't bother as it is well managed, unlike his other endeavor..

Because hes a noob with activity of 112?

I've only seen noobs making dumbest assumption and statements on this forums lately..... I'm sure they dont like to know they've missed the train.

You think every question has to do with money - what about integrity?

I did trade in bitcoin for a while but the second I broke even after I lost on the china crash I got out and just have some in cold storage.

Now I am still into bitcoin, but for it's future uses and potential, not to make a quick buck out of 'noobs'.

If so, why are we still using it?  Shocked
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's been three months... on: March 13, 2014, 09:48:49 AM
Too much money lost from the gox debacle, only weak hands remain. Big drop imminent.

Also, a lot are still digesting the news that Mark Karpeles manipulated the price to the last ATH, he also manipulated the subsequent downturn. How much interest is there in bitcoin really? We don't know yet. People are just being sensibly cautious.

There's a great theory on the rise of bitcoin and the fall of Gox here, it's the most accurate theory I've seen so far and explains a lot about price movements and the infamous Willy - if you are an investor in bitcoin you should read this....

nEVER understood the irony of pointing out trolls (maybe one of you trolls can explain it to me, by inbox of course), anybody that can comprehend the definitions of words and knows how to use them, feel free to reply to my post, constructive comments about post are always accepted, everything else is cowardly. Im in LA, never scared of niggers anywhere Smiley

It's not racist if he's a n...african american.

Still offensive though.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peter R's theory on the collapse of MtGox and its effect on the price of bitcoin on: March 12, 2014, 06:32:43 PM
If this is true, then a huge majority of bitcoin's price is not 'natural' or sustainable growth (no more ?Willy?). This seems like incredibly bearish news if true. Anyone else wanna think this through with me?

This is the most interesting part of this theory imo, if the price has been manipulated to this degree until last week then what are bitcoins really worth? Looking at the charts there is a definite change in patterns since the Gox related crash on 25th Feb. This could be explained by the removal of a good portion of traders via Gox, but the volume (outside of whale moves) is remarkably low. Is there nearly as much interest as we thought?
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy/Sell Wall Placement on: March 12, 2014, 11:17:12 AM
I've put a bit of thought into how I would sell a large amount and have decided it's best to wait for someone else to put up a significant bid wall and eat it quickly - that shouldn't affect the market too much. These large walls go up surprisingly often (manipulators I assume).

I would be really interested to hear other peoples opinions on the best way to do this too. Advice for genuine sellers / buyers who don't intend to day trade - simply buy or sell a large amount.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: March 10, 2014, 12:19:17 PM
What happened? The bitstamp order book looks like shit now. It's been halved since when it was trading in 500s. That's not normal for a true reversal. The bid depth should be continuing to increase every step of the way, not decrease!

Where do you guys get access to this information. i.e. the complete order book on Bitstamp?

I use QT trader and can see the complete order book through that.

Rpietila, I am keen to hear what your predictions are for the next week or so ?

I cannot predict such short timespans.

The biggest market mover is the people who thought they had bitcoins in Mt.Gox. When they replace (which I believe is going on), the price can rise a lot. We are talking about 100,000s of coins of extra demand.

This is the key to the short term market and people ignore it. The majority of traders had their funds on Gox, a lot got out, we don't know exactly how many, but looking at the order book in the last few days, not that many.

These people are not going to give up bitcoin, or be happy with the handful of alts they have. They are entrenched in the bitcoin dream and trading is a way of life.  Right now they will be securing loans, raiding savings accounts and that fiat is on it's way to an exchange right now.

It takes a few days to be verified at Stamp, then 2-3 more days for your funds to arrive in your account, we're on the brink. All we need is a few mini whales who NEED their bitcoin with only a limited amount available at the exchanges and ..... supply and demand.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 03, 2014, 09:30:15 PM
Why did hackers stole 750.000 Bitcoins only from MTgox and did not touch any other exchanges?

What is Karpeles doing at the moment? Can he get out of Japan or is he "arrested" to Japan?

Does somebody know this?

I´m still sure Karpeles stole that coins and say hackers did that. Can he go to jail for the insolvency? or is it really so easy to open up an exchange, let people invest millions and then shut it down? I mean, easy way to get rich!?

They stole bitcoin to buy more dogecoin.

Karp is swimming in dogecoins. We all know this.

Yes, it is easy to build an exchange and steal from customers. I can build you an exchange for the low price of 10,000btc. I know that sounds like a lot, but think about how much you will make over time. Srsly

Never watched the dogecoin charts and I´m not sure if you are serious about this or not!?

I and a lot of people have coins on stamp too and I´m worried that stamp could do the same as gox some day. Even though they are at a leading position at the moment.

You guys seriously think another exchange could have the same problems as Gox? It's coming out now that it was well known Mark was neglecting the code. He had plenty of warnings from people who know what they are talking about. Also, Gox has been sending out a warning beacon since November when fiat withdrawals problems were getting out of control, you will see the same signs with another exchange too. Learn from your mistakes, don't wish the same misfortune on other people.

Almost 50 minutes since the last block. No wonder you didn't get a confirmation yet.

Hm only 4 blocks the last 2h. And over 4000 transactions are waiting. The last 6 blocks had a average of 932 transactions...

90 minutes here without single confirmation.

you guys really should learn how bitcoin works, check the blockchain NO NEW BLOCKS YET - it happens.

Is anyone noticing whether the guy adding and removing the walls is doing the same $ amount or the same btc amount?

The wall guy is not removing them, he is buying...a lot.

Love the poll, 800 by the end of the week, by the end of the day more like!!

Feel sorry for you goxed people, feel sorry for those who shorted....but OMG this rush watching it go up is priceless, especially when you're 100% coins.

Your mother is your primary female role model whether you chose to acknowledge that or not. Mom was a keeper, which explains why Dad kept her. My ex wasn't so I didn't. I don't hate women. It's just a fact that the ones available to me are unsuitable for long term commitment. I'm not crying about it. I enjoy the variety.

She cheated on you, didn't she? And you're scared to love again? Be honest, your life is a bad Barry Manilow song, isn't it? Come on, admit it, we won't judge you.

You crack me up. That's what would have had to happen for you to cram my narrative into your model of the way the world works, right?
Look, my ex is the mother of my daughter and I'm not gonna trash her to make myself look good to strangers. Think what you like. The fact is that there are very few women worth marrying and most of the ones who are don't stay on the market long. Women are a luxury.

Women are not a commodity - are you from Afghanistan or something?

As this is the official off-topic thread I will take the occasion to say something I always wanted to: I'm really amazed by the NSFW thing US folks use when linking to sex related images.... is so ridiculous I cannot even understand it.

How does that work exactly? Naked ladies/porn is specifically considered "not suitable for work" but general news or other non-work related stuff is suitable? What about sports news? Bitcoin stuff? I mean, I'd say that everything non-work related might be considered "not suitable" in many circumstances (you are supposed to be working, not reading about sports or bitcoin, right?), but the fact of specifically labeling "naked ladies/sex" as "not suitable for work" seems to me the reflection of a ridiculously biggot society. Cheesy

We have to work with fat ugly women who threaten workplace harassment lawsuits because they feel inferior. They are backed up by the white knight beta boyz trying to get into their hideously overstretched pant suits. Puritans I can deal with. It's the feminutiness imported from Europe that metastasized here and morphed into this PC Orwellian crimethink nightmare that's so much fun to subvert ;-)

You're not a very nice person are you? Do you ever intend to get married, have children? I hope you never have daughters.
