1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash ($250) investment on: May 15, 2021, 10:59:59 AM
The market opens opportunity for investors and I want to take the opportunity to somehow start my investment.

What should I buy?any advice?
will bitcoin cash increase 50% more from its price today? or I just go to bitcoin cause it's more safe?
2  Economy / Economics / Birth of Bitcoin in microfinance industry on: January 16, 2021, 09:16:03 AM
I've been thinking of using bitcoin to help individuals especially those womens (I mean a plain housewife) who wanted to have additional income. Then suddenly this idea of microfinance gave me such an interest.
In many countries the evolve of microfinance grows fast
In fact, the government is really looking on it as a big help to the economy. Since banking institutions cannot offer such loans to least people, this microfinance open up a door and lend ordinary people with such low interest to help them start their own business.
If bitcoin can be use by a microfinace institutions as a new source of fund I think the goal of poverty eradication of many governments can be solve.
3  Other / Meta / Re: Community Opinion - Signature Campaigns on: March 29, 2019, 03:37:48 AM
As most of you probably know by now, I like to listen to the community before I do anything definitive.

I've been approached about a pornsite who may want me to run a Signature Campaign here at Bitcointalk. Now there's nothing illegal with legit porn sites and as far as I know there's nothing against promoting such sites here either but I'd still like to hear what you guys think about it, would people apply? (With good payrates people don't seem to care what they advertise but still). If anything would come up that they've been doing some shennanigans later on, could I get in trouble for marketig it here? Should I consider it in any way immoral to promote pornographic content here?

Feel free to discuss, I'd prefer it to be on topic and without multiple posts about "Your campaign, your decision" etc. One post is enough and different opinions are always welcome.

Actually nowadays such market seems to be very common in many countries and I don't see anything wrong in doing such campaign. The problem is, not all country support it and having that here in bitcointalk might put us at risk especially if the government impose prevention knowing the fact some of them are against immorality.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the world really go digital with crypto? on: October 01, 2018, 03:22:39 AM
The possibilities are really high when it comes to a digital economy, I mean innovation is really something that we can predict and seeing how the economy evolve nowadays with bitcoin heading all cryptos I think sooner or later most countries will adopt this kind of market.
5  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: September 28, 2018, 05:56:38 AM

To move on, sana may mkapansin ng suggestion ko.

As of this writing, 16k+ ang difference ng buy (371.6K) at sell (355.3k) rates nila  Grin

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You cannot win in gambling on: September 26, 2018, 11:58:24 PM
I just had a really bad day gambling today with Roma losing a ticket for me and their odd was 1.20 and they were playing against the last place of Italian Serie A. I thought a bad day and move on and played another ticket this time I choose Brondby as they were playing at home against a team they had beaten almost always and the odd was 1.35. This was even worse as Brondby lost 2-4 at home to a team quoted from the bookies at 8.5

Now I am not an expert in gambling but this day was a really eye opener for me, you can never win in gambling. Imagine when you can't win in lotto , soccer betting or whatever you call it, you don't have a chance in slots.
You can win, only if you know when to stop. It's a matter of right attitude towards gambling. I heard a lot of successful stories of gambler here and most of them has the same attitude. After winning they put a certain percentage for investment then only a portion of winnings was use to gamble again, that tactics will surely help you to control yourself and not to lose too much on gambling.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do bitcoin debit cards help with scalability for now? on: September 26, 2018, 11:42:20 PM
Since you only have to do transactions to put a balance on coinbase and then can spend it over multiple transactions, does that help scalability?

I firmly believe in keeping your own private keys but I think it's an acceptable cost to give up ownership of a small fraction of your bitcoins and trust coinbase so you can do a few everyday transactions.

I don't know where exactly to draw the line but it would be 0.5-10%. Obviously a lot less if you have a large amount of bitcoin.

Are those services good for the ecosystem in total? How does it all work? Who gets the processing fees from the merchants running the Point of Sale?
In my country using bitcoin in every day transactions is quite difficult to do since we were not supported by bitcoin debit card or even coinbase. But for me I think it's really useful having a bitcoin debit card especially if the market will really adopt cryptos as a mode of payment, there's no need to cash out or convert into fiat. I just hope sooner my country will also allow this kind of mode of payment.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did you think ICO is necessary? on: September 26, 2018, 10:07:44 PM
Irrespective of problems encountered by crypto enthusiasts like fake icos, scammers and delay. I think ICO plays an important rule in execution of sound projects. So Without ICO, most coins  find it difficult to raise funds to execute their project. Without ICO, coins or projects will find it difficult to advertise their project, without  ICO, projects will find it difficult to reach the right audience, Etc.therefore I believe in ICO because it enable me to research, analyst and evaluate the potentials of that project. Do you also believe in ICO?
For those who are in investment I think ICO is really important because it plays a major role in giving information about the project. Through ICO the whole information is complete including the future development and analysis of the project. For some critics just by reading their ANN thread they can easily assess if the project will succeed or just a scam. It is also a way to increase awareness for the end user of the project.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crime Effect of Gambling - Your thoughts! on: September 26, 2018, 07:30:07 PM
For me gambling does not increase crime but rather increase addiction to some people who does not know how to handle it properly. When it comes to crime, for me the number 1 aspect is drugs next is poverty. I don't consider gambling unless it was also associated with drugs.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BITCOIN AND ALTCOIN on: September 26, 2018, 06:41:49 AM
I have realized that whenever  the value of bitcoin drops in the cypto market almost all the altcoins' values also drop. Bitcoin is and has been the father of all cryptocurrencies but i still do not get the relationship and the rationale for the effects of bitcoin value on altcoins.
Altcoins are dependents with bitcoin since majority of them is used to trade with bitcoin. There was a time when bitcoin continuously dropping while some other alts like Ripple and Ethereum were rising, speculators even thought this would replace bitcoin position in the market, but then again after few months bitcoin remain stable while these alt coins started to drop. Crypto price are really unpredictable though most of the time alts lies on bitcoin fluctuations but still I would like to believe it still the market that predicts what would be the next value this cryptos.
11  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legalities of Bitcoin on: September 26, 2018, 05:35:16 AM
Most of well known countries and has a good economical status legalized and regulates not only just bitcoin but crypto currencies as a whole, It is because most of the developers and supporters of digital currencies comes from those countries. I can see that adaptation of other countries lies on how those big countries support cryptos. No wonder in the coming years bitcoin will be more legal and regulated without any restrictions and sooner become one of the major currency circulating around the world.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will become of Bitcoin if the price keeps falling? on: September 26, 2018, 03:03:57 AM
I've never seen in bitcoin history that it keeps falling as if it will going to lose its value. What we have always see is a fluctuations in price which is brought by unstable market situation bitcoin is going through. Seems bitcoin is a crypto currency we will expect a lot of pump and dump, and it's normal. What we can do is invest when the price is low then sell when the price pump and reasonable enough to earn profit. Let's learn how to play the market and continue supporting bitcoin.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Yearly September Bull Run on: September 25, 2018, 10:38:57 PM
So bad it seems the September bull run will not happen as we are few days closer to the month end. Well let's still be hopeful, bitcoin always make such unexpected happenings it might pump and dump anytime soon, it may reach $20,000 again in no time. Let's just continue supporting the market and keep on waiting for the best days.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino gambler reveals 'secret no-lose betting pattern' :o on: September 25, 2018, 09:52:13 PM
Sounds interesting and I'd like to try it. Gambling is merely about luck and I think I'm not one of those who has it so I haven't experience winning huge amount from it. If this really true well I'm pretty sure many of those who read and try this already earned a lot. I hope they publish it here to give additional proof.
15  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: ICO Regulations in the Philippines on: September 25, 2018, 08:44:59 AM
Just sharing what's going on in the Philippines. Regulations for ICOs has been posted currently at the end train 3 (4 trains total) before it is accepted by the government. Both companies and associations have been very active working with the PH-SEC (yes and they are open for opinions). The initial draft (linked here) was first posted in August this year and it's moving a fast pace. It's estimated to be complete by November.

http://www.sec.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/MC-Rules-for-ICOs.pdf

Let me know what you think!
My country is always open for innovation, as much as possible it tries to adopt the prevailing market into it's system that's why crypto currency though not yet legal in paper but still able to enter our economy and be use by a lot of people. Same thing I guess is happening for those ICOs maybe the government is putting a lot of control over it, but still the Philippines will continue to support it and let it become part of its growing economy.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How often do you check CoinMarketCap website? on: September 25, 2018, 08:36:43 AM
For me it has been nearly everyday once for years now.  Grin
I've been checking my wallet which is coins.ph almost every day even if I don't have many bitcoin because I'd like to know how's the market is going. I also check some trading site looking for some alts hoping that their value might appreciate but I only do that once a month I guess.
17  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Bagong Patakaran ng Ranking System for anti-spam. on: September 25, 2018, 02:32:30 AM

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell bounty token at a loss? on: September 24, 2018, 11:50:22 PM
If you have free Bounty tokens, would you sell at a loss? It can have advantages or disadvantages to sell at a loss: to avoid more loss but also to realises losses.

Personally I would wait for a better overall crypto market and sell later, because it's a bear market right now. If price rises again you can make a better profit and get more money back per coin if you wait and sell later. Market recovery will be positive to many good projects.

What's your strategy to make most profits now?
I used to hold some bounty tokens and what I realized is that it's better to sell them right away after receiving them instead of keeping for a long run. It's better to hold bitcoin or altcoins because they have more chance of appreciation rather than tokens. Sometimes tokens lose their value after the ICO has ended so it would only result to a greater loss if you keep them.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction becomes more popular with young people over time on: September 24, 2018, 10:57:50 PM
After recent changes to the merit system, I am trying to do something useful and contribute to the forum. And this is what I collect, hopefully it will change my merit.

This is an article about that, a gambling disorder in most young people
- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5841330/
As stated in the article, experts and analysts know the causes and issues that lead to gambling addiction, they have clearly spoken about the dangers, consequences, and effects of gambling on the nerves and health of a person then there is a series of methods to stop that. But we are still here very clearly, the number is still increasing significantly every year, it has no signs of diminishing, even rising dizziness.

And the problem here is I want to ask why that happens? All the information is complete but people still can not solve the gambling addiction problem, the analysis is useless or our greed still dominates all.

Please let me know your opinion on this issue and if you have enough power, what would you do to solve this

I agree many young people are now into gambling addiction, they started betting on a well known game until apparently grows into a more complex way of gamble. In fact even here in cryptos I see a lot of students who plays online casino, though some of them confess this has help them to earn additional income to support their finances but some even go on a wrong way that instead of studying  they used their spare time to gamble. I guess this is where the future leads our society.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: when altcoins stop following bitcoin price ? on: September 24, 2018, 10:11:12 PM
As we notice that almost all the altcoins follow the price of bitcoin . I'm just wondering when they will become independent and don't follow the bitcoin price?
I think that's impossible since bitcoin is the mother of all altcoins, it sets benchmark in the current anf future pricing of all other alts. Though there was a time when ethereum appreciate during bitcoin fallback but then again never in the history that it was price more than the value of bitcoin. I guess no other alts can take over the market rank of bitcoin.
