I think that today's situation with CBOE Futures and same will will put pressure on and on to the BTC price. And I don't say about Tether constant creation and injection that also have a strong impact on the market. That's why I wait BTC on the $5-5.5k level and after that we will see new ATH.
I think we will rather see a rally in the weeks before the next decision in September. Then, if it gets rejected or delayed we will probably see another big dip. But who knows, maybe we will see some positive decision for a change. |

I think we must selective to choose ICOs, because the number of live ICOs certainly makes us all confused, let alone more and more ICOs are scam so investors are afraid to invest ICOs, I think the best ICOs are happening in 2017, when many projects could reach hardcap so that crypto usage increased significantly.
I think the sheer amount of new ICOs in 2018 has led to the reduced profits for investors, there are not enough new people coming in the space and the ICO's were just too many. Also they had ridiculous hardcaps. Why do you need 50 million to build software when others can do the same with 5 million or even less. I avoid those hardcaps like the plague, mostly money grabs. |

Simply because they are thinking this is just a downward adjustment. All are still seeing the great potential of the market. The opportunity to make money from here is still large and no one to give up
All investors are very careful during this period because only Bitcoin is reduced, all other altcoins will be reduced and we should update the news every day, it will be better. I personally keep track of BTC's movements because the market is so unpredictable Periods and conditions like this do make it difficult for everyone to make their choices, patience will be a vital thing in dealing with conditions like this. Pay attention to the movement of Bitcoin prices, look quite stable and not experience significant changes. While the price movement of Altcoin is so very fast and even continues to decline. So now that investing in Altcoin is not the right choice, especially for someone who wants to invest in the short term. Theoretically, investment in altcoins is a long-term investment and investment in bitcoin is an investment that can be done in the short and long term. Altoins have been bleeding severely that is true, and in future bear markets I will also reduce my exposure to alts. But I don't think right now is a good time to sell as most alts are down 90% and more from all time highs. Also we saw in the last 48 hours that when Bitcoins comes back 5%, many alts see growth in the double digits. So where is high risk often also there is high reward. |

now the price is 290 dollars and up to 400 remains not so much, but this is not happening now, as the market is moving in the wrong direction and reaching this amount can only be possible after the bottom is found but it is still not found and maybe it will take a lot of time perhaps before the end of the year...
What makes you tell that the bottom has not yet formed? I see Ethereum has severely undervalued right now and I think it can go x5 from here to the end of the year easily. That would not even be the all time high we have seen in the last bull run. |

well, I can say bounty hunter. but, when I'm interested in a project, sometimes I participate by investing. well, sometimes we want to support a project, it's just that desire is delayed due to several things, such as lack of money to start investing. so, just by being a bounty hunter, we can support the project, and also get paid.
I can rely to that, last year I did not do bounties as things worked out very well, now I am struggling as many others and bounty provide some additional source of income. Unfortunately many ICOs are currently failing and bounter hunters not getting paid. |

Is there any posible way to filter who are going to make an ICO to be able to know if there are scam or not? And is there any bodies of law that would be able to punish them once they turn into scam. And what punishment should be given upon committing such the crime?
At present, there is no effective supervision of ICO in the market, so there are many ICO frauds, so we must be careful when reinvesting. I believe that ICO needs a special supervision department, so as to effectively control and supervise the legitimacy and completeness of ICO, so as to attract more investors. Thats right. No proper regulation right now and anyone can do an ICO even anonymously and raised funds and run with money /btc being scot free. This is being pointed out by several people already and government are doing thier best to formulate rules and accountability about this matter. Have you heard about DAICO platforms, they work similar like Escrow where the funds are in a secure, 3rd party place and can only accessed if the project delivers? Do you think these would be able to tackle the issues around ICOs you described? |

I told always that long-term is better for your health. I don't need every hour open Blockfolio or same for price checking. And if I spent my time for portfolio definitions it will give me the same (maybe some less) profit but without trading
I can totally relate to that, a while I did a lot of trading and I was stressed out and did not sleep very well. It was not good for my health but everyone reacts differently. In any way, it was also not worth it from a monetary gain so I dropped it again. |

Long term invest is an ideal option if you want to succeed in long run. But if you are new trader and want to learn trading tricks I will suggest you to start from short term investment by setting few goals. For example if you buy a certain altcoin for 10K $ and set a target that I will sale if I am getting 2K $ profit or something like that. But in this case you have to research properly about the market before selecting any crypto currency. I am not sure that the newbie should start with the short-time trading. As I think, he should better invest in good cryptos and go on learning a lot about trading tricks. I share that view, in the beginning I think it's important to get a good understanding of the fundamentals of different projects, understand what makes the top market cap coins unique and important in the eyes of the investors. Trading is something for pros and anyway very risky so keep that for later. |

Hi guys. Out of curiosity, what are you earning with bounty campaigns? I think I'm somewhere near 1K USD/month, but I guess there have to be people here who are earning lots more. Kind regards EDIT: As many people do not believe these profits, I will explain how I make them. I focus on the translation campaigns (dutch). A translation pays +- 3 ETH on average. I have only started (only 1 translation has been paid, I received +-2 ETH), but as I can make up to 3 translations/month (currently working on 2 more), this would get me 9 ETH/month. As not every project is succesful, let's say I will receive 4,5 ETH/month. Do not focus on signature campaigns or social media campaigns, these are the crumbs (especially for members with lower ranks) while translation campaigns are probably the bread. I use the Bountyhive platform to manage my bounty participations, this platform makes it possible to be enrolled in 10 campaigns at the same time, without having to report. if you do not have a competitor in the bounty that you have picked then you are going to really make a profit, I still consider signature campaign as the best campaign to get in, that is if you have a higher rank because signature campaign has the biggest slice of the stakes. What do you mean by "if you do not have a competitor in the bounty that you have picked"? Are you referring to bounties with a low number of participants (competition) or do you mean that the project that you support is unique (first mover) and not just a copycat of existing projects. exactly the reason why we did that poll on Crypto Australia Facebook Group (see my post on previous page) - to share insights based on the research we have collectively done. Because investing in the doomed to fail type projects is the opposite of what everyone & the crypto industry as a whole needs. We need everyone OUT of the shitcoins & trading over in to solid projects that have a future so people don't just lose their money, loser interest & then leave crypto for good. We need everyone winning (instead of the banks for a change) and we need to rebuild the market cap & make it safe for more people to follow. So just to recap - our group voted for No.1 was Power Ledger aka POWR - (like the Airbnb of electricity = awesome real world use). No.2 was Decision Token aka HST / Horizon State. (HST delivers a secure digital ballot box cleaning up elections in the post fake news world). No.3 was Bitcoin. No.4 was Ethereum No.5 was Cardana aka ADA. no.6 was VeChain. No.7 was Iota No.8 was OMG No.9 was Stellar Lumens No.10 was EOS personally I had Stellar Lumens in my top 3 (so many awesome partnerships signed last month + in consideration next for Coinbase listing + just jumped Litecoin to be the No.6) I also like AGI Singularity Net the artificial Intelligence crypto - let's at least own shares in our Robot Overlords when they come! - And Kin - simply because they have a ready made market of 300 million users and jumped from outside the top 100 to be currently no.66 - they don't need anyone - raised $100 million US$ at ICO last year & are still super cheap to buy so have huge potential to gain in value once the market turns. I don't think that is possible, if you look at the year so far, then you will see that a lot of icos have been launched this year too. It might not be doing as well as anyone expected but the fact still remains that the icos are still making money despite the bear market. 2018 is not the year that icos die, that is left to be decided in the future but certainly not now.
Are you investing in ICOs yourself? Yes many have been launched this year and they collected more money than ever, but no one else made any money, at least 9 out 10 ICOs completely failed and I do not think ICO's will be profitable anymore unless we get back into a new bull market. My last profitable ICO was in february, the rest of the year I would like to delete from my memory. |

Hello Guys, looks like the current market crash has got everyone troubled and they cant think of anything but to outburst inside out and hope that when the market will see green spikes like 50%++ and stuff like that.  Well, thats more than dream come true for any crypto geek here, but I gotta say we have to wait for that opportunity yet. Here is what you should be doing right away : - Already got portfolio which is down in the investment ? Then you should add more similar coins into it. Yes, because if you enter the every market with current rates then this would be your starting point and it will give you more % profit than what you are holding today by the time you reach the old entry point.
- This would be ideal step to refurbish your portfolio and easy way to lower your break even point!- Relax, and think about the mega crashes of 2014 and back then, same outburst feeling was surging through everyone but did you notice everyone did hold their portfolio and today they are big people around the forum.  - Its good to ask which coins to invest into but you can always go and read about the project to know more insights. Sometime you can do better as coopered to others. - Hope that relaxes everyone.  Great piece of insight, people get too winded up about the short term volatility. This year is tough on us but in the end it's just a normal bear market as you wrote, and it is less severe than 2014. I also refurbished my portfolio, there is not a single project without a product anymore, these get slammed during a bear market. And I shifted a lot from low caps to high caps. |

I believe it is just not about panic... It is about the attitude, the attitude to make money initially and get out of the market/ICO. Most of the people who do this are not sure if the ICO will work or not. Quite a few of them are not even bothered if the ICO works or not. It is the attitude of just to make money.
Some of us are still not matured enough deal with the manipulations and FUD. However I believe, I m generalizing things here.
I think I can relate to that, so many people are only interested what happens above the surface without real interest going deeper, I bet most bounty supporters did not invest their time to read a whitepaper but rather look at the size of the telegram group and if there is hype around a project, this needs to change |

I think this is the most sluggish period since I joined the crypto currency. what your opinion?
What caused it?
We are in a bear market again and almost all coins drops so hard today. There might be a price manipulation since January 2018 and this is why the market drops so hard. In this kind of market patience is very important, I hope that bitcoin will not go down deeper to $5k level again. Have patience, just go with your own decision. The present time can be considered as a buy time, and some consider losing tends to sell. Similar pattern of growth took place previously, price went as low as $6500 and then started to recover and reached around $9700 and stabilized around the $7500 range. This time too similar thing can happen. You seem to be confident that there is a buying time now but what makes you so sure? After all btc could drop to 5k and then you would lose 20% if you go in now. I agree, my opinion is to wait, BTC'll go lower for sure, under 6000 $, waiting strategy is now the key. If everyone just stays on the sidelines then nothing is going to change either. Look at the low volume that tells everything. If the majority of people just sits this out we never get somewhere. I think the big shift need to happen from speculation to actually using all these currencies in daily life. I try to buy with Bitcoin whenever it is possible but just very few sites accepts them as payment |

that was a hard question to answer. in fact thanks to scammer out there. they make ton of shit token everyday just to scam new trader and investor. that make a true ICOs not very succeed because all aware to scammer now. im have a hard time to trust new icos as to many are down before start. that why i invest only to strong coin and tokens only.
I agree, we have mainly to thank these people for that, fakers, scammers, hackers who helped the whole marketcto loose it‘s reputation and people are loosing confidencecand leaving the market |

The market has realized most of these coins are worth nothing and the promoters have no intention of developing the ecosystems
This is a truth that they have no intention to develop ecosystem and the better field and the main reason behind this factor is that everyone is towards the success and want to touch new new things and new new technology instead to water his time in the worst and dead coins , that why the most of the people are making themself to keep himself away from such coins . Well right now about 2200+ coins are live and out of them about 600+ coins are which have values ( more than 1 Satoshi ) . And the main thing is that most of the dead coins are available at the worst and at few better exchange , I found most of the dead coins at the yobit.net , I don't understand that why the yobit.net exchange try to delist the dead altcoins , about 2-3 years old dead coins are at dead conditions and I don't think that coin will come back in the market again . Here the best thing that we can do is that we should go with that coins which are better by technology , instead to those coins which comes in ICOs just copy paste and no real guinine base of use in real life , in this way we can give better limitations for such things at few extent . I also noticed there are more and more ICOs that are just copycats of already existing projects, sometimes with a few changes or „improvements“ for something that has not even launched and hence nobody knows if these products are ever going to be used in our everydays lifes |

It might and it might not, right now even very positive like Ethereum not being considered as a Security did not affect tve market pretty much, even though it‘s a really big deal. I hope Starbucks will follow through though.
