Ah, another one for the ignore list. Just a friendly reminder: if they are a new user and all of their previous posts were used to create fear, uncertainty, and doubt, then they're a troll; it's a waste of time to reply to them (this one, rsa_ufo_attack, btcseller*, etc.). It uses up energy that could be used for doing truly awesome things.  Cheesy

@Gnosis- , Dont listen to these trolls. We know how hard you have been working on the zerocoin integration. People do not understand the level of engineering we have used to create even the RSA-UFO.  You have spent a lot of time on it and researched through a lot of stuff to reach this point and we know it.   You are awesome and i really feel privileged to be part of the awesome journey that we are having.   Imagine , we can tell our grandchildren about what we are doing! It would be awesome!

I was just about to post the following -

Stop feeding the trolls guys and don't believe their stories about being early adopters or big ANC bag holders.  They're here to FUD to try and protect their wishful wannabe anonymous coin.  Zerocoin and ring-signatures to a lesser extent are the only current available anonymous transaction techniques that work.  All the code is to be 100% fully opensource so yes their will be extensive peer reviews.  What for those peer reviews to grade the anoncoin developers.  Not the newbie shill FUD'er accounts popping up all of a sudden now that they see Anoncoin as a major threat to their own projects that they've heavily invested their time and monies in.

Absolutely true sir! Very well said!

Here are some nice pretty tables from analyzing the RSA UFO project results, including ranking of UFO participants:

^ Yes, that's 8 years of total core time!  Shocked

More information will come after I sleep. Smiley

WoW! Thats awesome!!!!  I wish i could have contributed more. ..

If someone here can make a nice catchy landing page, I can donate free traffic (~1.5k visitors/day) to raise awareness regarding the upcoming ZC launch.

Any takers?

Yes. Sure. A new design of Anoncoin.net is already there. We just have to implement it.

I was thinking of a promotional page, maybe with a countdown to ZC's launch on Oct 15th. It should have a simple message, like "Care about your financial privacy?" and then explain in simple terms ANC's implementation of ZC and why it's better than other coins. At the end of the page, a "Know more" link to ANC's main site.

If you do this, send me the link and I will bring lots of qualified visitors until launch.

Okay. I will update you on that. Thanks.

Hello, Friends.
I am back after a long time.
How are you guys? Did we take over the world yet?

With the exception of CryptoNote no other anon coin offers even a remote chance at real anonymity.  Nothing but gimmicks.
I'm pretty stunned at how many people are paying big money for CrapCoins for gimmicks like DARK, BitcoinDark, etc...

Cryptonote started with bytecoin. We already know bytecoin released fake names as its key devs, along with probably fake bios. The release of that first cn coin has huge questions around it, including whether its early blockchain is even real. Some of the promotional material of that first cryptonote coin was done in a way that copied exactly the presentation style of government projects. Not one early buyer or miner has stepped forward.

I don't know anything about cryptography but I'd be cautious.
Yes. Cryptonote offers good privacy (probably the best available today). Bytecoin (the first cryptonote coin), was some sort of scam. Monero (the first CN coin released in a fair manner) is a good coin.

There is a thin line between what data has to be hidden and what has to be public in a public ledger based peer to peer electronic currency.  One of the best features of bitcoin is the public ledger. And the ledger allows anyone to see the transaction and the addresses involved. It is certainly very important. It helps in creating systems where multiple users have to verify the transaction without being the owner of it.   It opens doors for creating public organizations etc.

Its not possible by cryptonote.  Only the owner of the privatekey can only view & verify the transaction.   So, i dont think its better.

Added the much needed feature in ANC blockexplorer's transaction pages.
You can now see number of confirmations of each transactions.

Who help me ?

Why "Loading" is all day all night ?;o
Hey, You have to use blockexplorer in fcgi mode, to get it working. Without FCGI, Abe cant handle multiple requests .

some thoughts before sleep:

maybe the wiki should be multi lang too?

there is no link to https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Anoncoin on the wiki front page(?)

there is no info about tor in the intro of https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Anoncoin, also its lacking links to i2p and zerocoin pages.

there is no info about tor under "Setting up your wallet for the first time" https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Setting_up_your_Anoncoin_wallet.

could be good to create https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Anonymity_of_Cryptocurrencies (maybe a good place to put the anonymity table i mentioned earlier) and link every "anonymous", "anonymity", ... to it - thats what its all about, anonymity.

come on guys zzzzz
n00n  , I will work on that after getting our forum ready. Please let me know , if you are interested to edit the wiki. I will create a user for you.  But i don't think , we need to create a page in wiki for anonymity of other cryptocoins.
I will also provide you a little change in the design html file that you had provided.  We can definitely get it translated in multiple languages.  Very Nice work , my friend.  Smiley Smiley
32  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Abe 0.7: Open Source Block Explorer Knockoff on: August 08, 2014, 04:28:07 AM
I am able to see unconfirmed transactions in search results. But the transaction page throws error.
Please check at http://ancblockchain.com/uncomfirmed_tx_error.html

It looks like its taking values in hex format.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I used the transaction id to getrawtransaction data via rpc and it showed shitload of other transactions.  I am confused.

How can i get some real unconfirmed transactions and test them in the blockexplorer? And how does Abe handle them?

http://jsaddr.anoncoin.net/ has to be fixed. It has a small error.  I will fix it ASAP and let you know.  Do not use any other wallet generators.

On a separate issue, an old quote from https://forum.anoncoin.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=499
"Hi Anoncoin, we are BTC38, the bigest exchange from china.
Hope everything is fine.
Any news about Anoncoin, please send me a copy. thanks.
email: btc38.business@foxmail.com "

Almost all of their volume is in Chinese yuan, very little in btc. So Chinese people are trading anc basically without news, reacting in a very delayed way to cryptsy. It would be nice to give some news sometimes to them.

When a Chinese person looks at btc38's description of anoncoin, and this is perhaps 90% of potential anc Chinese enthusiasts, under "problems with this coin" they see "Inadequate application of small, official support is not big enough" according to google translate.

So some effort has to be made to solicit opinions from Chinese and other non english speakers.

Then once we have their opinion we can invade their country and teach them english.

Yes. True. I will email them about ufo-client. I am sure they would like to publish the news.

The page at https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anoncoin is up now. I can edit it and add more information to it, but the test now is passing the wikipedia mods with the base article.

Please check for errors.
Dude , thats pure recipie for deletion again.  I will make a few edits. We dont need so many references to other wiki pages.

Finally updated the Block Explorer code ( http://ancblockchain.com ) . It is little faster.  You wont notice any change in the frontend though. But currently, it runs on nginx . Serves static files using nginx and apache for Abe Explorer.  I am still in touch with @Jtobey , and we may get a lot of performance improvement very soon.

Geekz, backup config etc to make sure you got copies of <working settings> in case of shit/screwup. A snapshot of a VM if it's running in one is maybe the absolute best! Smiley

Yes.True. Will do now.   Smiley

Yes, it's true. (But no, I don't think all those coins, maybe a few of them, but not all, has been mentioned more). But still, I'm holding the bounty open. Smiley
Yeah. Keep the bounty open Smiley

I've been working on a new anoncoin.net.

The new site is an one page only with as little text as possible, referring to the wiki for details and social media or forums for news.

It's important to communicate to 2 groups - normal users and hard core tech people.
Since they want different information in different channels the page should be simple but informative enough for the normal user to get interested and started. The tech guy should be satisfied by the wiki easily found just around the corner and filled with detailed info.

So -  no detailed info or news feed, just links to it.

The style is supposed to be techy yet simple, old school in a modern way, underground but fresh.

Plain html/css, no php/sql/javascript/ajax/google/facebook.

http://image.bayimg.com/24527a19f17592d44c7d9eaab5b350b2f9d159ea.jpg

The texts have not been my priority and are "work in progress" together with lunokhod2.
But please give input on all levels.

Smiley
n00n , I will send you the design with little changes. But we are moving in the right direction. We will only have one html file for anoncoin.net and rest articles will go to wiki.
