After getting screwed in the Batch 1 B3, I got screwed once again after I received my B3. Right after turning it on, temperatures soared into the 80s, 90s, and a little over 100 on the chips. I turned it off within minutes, as it's clearly defective.
From what I've been reading, getting Bitmain to ship you a replacement at all is lucky. Am I dumb for asking whether or not Bitmain covers shipping for DOA units?

Bitmain doesn't charge shipping for replacement ASIC within warranty, but you do have to ship defective unit at your own cost. For me, it's 1 day delivery to their California repair center and it usually takes Bitmain 1-2 weeks to ship replacement from Shenzhen. Thank you, this is what I was looking for. Just have to patiently wait for them to process my ticket. |

I'm not normally a buyer of ASICs, the only reason I picked this one up was due to Bytoms algorithm specifically being made for ASICs.

That is very strange and I would need more if this is indeed happening Can you provide log output and profits screen? Sorry I was mistaken. I was just impatient and didn't realize how long benchmarking took  However, I have noticed that forager will attempt to connect to us-east.hub.miningpoolhub.com:20580 and europe.hub.miningpoolhub.com:20580 and times out on both before connecting to miningpoolhub. Unsure if this is a problem with miningpoolhub, I was unable to find the relevant code to where this url would be. |

I'm having problems with the alloy algorithm. About 50% of the time when I check hashrate, 1 or 2 of my GPUs will report 0. A few seconds later, they will be back to normal (or new ones will report 0). This happens on all of my GPUs (rx580s).
dont leave on auto intesity, lower it by hand. I'm still having the problem with manually adjusted intensity. It seems to be affecting all algorithms. 1.4.9 still works fine, 1.5.1 is pretty much unusable. Sometimes it will report half the normal hashrate, I imagine because one of the threads is failing but not the other. |

Holy Crap! I sent in a refund request from reading about it on here and got the canned response, ok fine. But, I just noticed that my order has been retroactively changed to show an $1875 purchase price down from $2453. Looks like some refunds are on the way. Pretty cool!

Batch 2 shipping without even a day in between the first batch. I know Bitmain are scum, and that the B3 was a gamble, but this is just a slap in the face. I don’t think the first person who receives theit B3 will even be able to make the cost difference in that time, especially with Bitmain already mining with thousands of their own B3s.
