261  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system should be removed ! on: May 07, 2018, 04:09:45 AM
personally me think merit system should not be there and ranks should be done via there post counts and quality of its posts

as of its too hard for new comers too to gather merits from old members who always do trades and exchange merit only for them but the person who is new and if he dont has btc to exchange then its less chance for him even after posting quality post on bitcointalk forum

lol now dont give me merit for this i know the points which me said is true and many will agree Tongue

proof of merit abuse done on this forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3402060.0

I am here in bitcointalk to learn about cryptocurrency and to help in this forum. I admit that i'm still new or less experience but i'm not here just to rank up by getting merit instead make your way to become successful at what you're best at what you do.
262  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto market demand is increasing on: May 07, 2018, 04:01:19 AM
This is good news isnt it? The crypto market is recovering and prices are increasing.

However I would approach this cautiously as it may not be a real bull run as the market is still weak.

I would not be surprised to see BTC and the cryptos trading within a range for a while more as traders are likely to sell

when BTC hits 12000 and buy when it hits 9000 again. Just be careful if anyone is buying at this price.
When demand increase i'm sure that the price of bitcoin would also increase, there is no doubt that it is a good news for those who had coins being hold until now. It would be great for holders as they would earn profit because of demands increasing.
263  Other / Meta / Re: what is going on with the forum on: May 07, 2018, 03:57:30 AM
if you look back at their post history you will find like 4000 or 7000 posts are none of those weren't shitpost?
I agree to this part. Yeah, its true. It doesn't mean that a particular post is a "shitpost" just because it has no Merit. Some post are just being ignored by other Members that's why they can't notice that a certain posts is meritous.

There are 3 reasons (in my opinion) why a particular post can't receive a Merit.
1. Post being ignored.
Like what I said, some post are just being ignored that why it has no Merit. Although a particularly post is a Good Quality Post or Informative, if readers ignore it, then it won't really receive a Merit.
2. Because it is posted in Megathreads.
If you're one of those Member who always liked to post in Megathreads, your posts won't really receive Merit. It is hard to read post in such threads mostly if the thread is flooded with spam posts. Most of members who give Merits for Good Quality Posts doesn't visit Megathreads too much, that's why there is a possibility that no one Merit your post there. But sometimes, some Members do.
3. Spam post.
This is the common reason why no one Merits a particular post.

Besides that, about the other thing you were trying to say.  I can't barely understand what you want us to understand. Or I'm just a little lazy to understand it.
I would add your list of reason why no merits will be earn. It might be possible that they are abusing new members just like they've been abuse by higher members in the past just like working in real life when i'm still a new workee they abuse me not because i did not do my job but because i am new to the job. The other reason is there are lots of alt accounts in bitcointalk, you see another name but behind the forum name it's still the same person that is why they won't easily give merit to your post or someone's post.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralized coins on: May 07, 2018, 03:45:26 AM
Do you think there is a room for centralized coins such as Ripple win over Bitcoin and Ethereum ? What is the good part about centralized coins against the decentralized ones ?
There is no win-lose here. Don't be stupid. Bitcoin's purpose is different, and same goes for Ethereum and Ripple. This topic has been discussed more than a dozen times and yet here we are.
The difference between centralized and decentralized cryptocurrencies are that the former is more attractive to people who believe in banks/government/centralized control, etc. The latter is more preached by people who believe in anonymity/privacy and those who hate the government.
I agree with this. I think ripple is the same as fiat monet but in digital form and also for keeping your money safe whereever you go and you can pay through ripple. I agree that there is no win-lose when you talk about centralized and decentralized currency when bitcoin and other decentralized currency there is already a goal ready to achieve their purpose and same as centralized they also had goals and targets to achieve so there's no need to ask if ripple has a room. Of course there is room for ripple if not ripple won't exist. People find their way on keeping their money safe that's why they go to bank to deposit their money.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet for begginers on: May 07, 2018, 03:26:11 AM
There are different wallets for different coins. Which one do you want the wallet for (Bitcoin, Ethereum, tokens)?
There are of course. When you want ERC20 tokens you can use myetherwallet. There is also a wallet for bitcoin you better read which wallet you want. Your wallet may differ because of coin you want to keep. For bitcoin there are types of wallet there are desktop, hardware, mobile, web.
266  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: change to JR member on: May 06, 2018, 02:30:38 PM
Question, I should be change to JR member rank right?
All you have to do is post 30 posts and your activities will also be updated. Junior member rank only requires 30 activities but when ranks next to junior member need merits to rank up.
267  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Ranks Overview (ranks/activity/merit/badges/limits) on: May 06, 2018, 01:31:42 PM
Yees. So it is not prohibited. Thank you for your information Sir Cobalt. But, can I ask something again? Cheesy I just wanted to ask what bbcode editor do you use for creating Signature. I'm just using wysiwyg rich text and html editor for android, and looking if there are much better IDE or apps for making bbc.

By the way, thanks for cheering me up Sir. Best wishes to you too. I'm still a Newbie in the field of creating Signature, I will need more practice. I admire your creativity Sir, Thank you again Smiley

I don't think other signature designer is using special editor to create signatuer design.
in windows I use notepad.
in linux I use gedit/pluma.
other signatuer designer is using the reply button notepad.

it's about your experienced and time devoted to create a signature design not the looks/appearances, experienced is the only teacher we can relay upon everything.
I think there are lots of editor to create a signature, all you need is experience as mention above and knowledge on how to create one when it's your first time in creating one. I would like to share an editor that you can use. Bbcode is an example editor you can use. Bbcode is a special implementation of HTML, hope you find BBcode useful.
268  Other / Meta / Re: Reapplying as a merit source! on: May 06, 2018, 08:30:00 AM
If that's what you think that you are unfit to be a merit source then why did you reapply to be a merit source again? As far as I have read in this thread there are positive and negative comments about you. To be honest you shouldn't resign if you just reapply again, you just made the admins or staffs getting busy. Maybe they're right that you're mentally ill, you just show them an example/sign that you're mentally ill by do these things,
1. Creating threads that you resigned as merit source.
2. Create thread that you want to reapply as merit source.

I would like to participate in your giveaway merit thread. Your giveaway merit thread help those who can't earn enough merit to rank. I would like to try my luck in your thread. I would also accept any comments about my post so you can help me be a good quality poster. I consider myself a newbie in crypto.

271  Other / Meta / Re: Merit is so unfair on: April 30, 2018, 02:36:25 AM
Isn't it so unfair for the people who is new here? That will be struggling making such as good quality post so they could be given a merit by someone. I know all of you is having a hard time thinking what are you going to post such as good quality.

It is really hard to have a merit it is because as far as I know:
People are selfish. Even though you post a really good quality post still there is a people who won't give you a merit.
Some are alone. Like me, I don't really have much friend who would give me a free merit. I know that it is easy to have a merit with a friend that have an account of bitcointalk.

My question is. Why still need merit? We are still struggling to rank because of the merit.

My opinion is merit is only used and discovered for good purposes but the point are very to be a member many fake users will be deleted by this forum this will not be need in future and it will be enough in shorter periods.
It's not against the forum rules having alt accounts. The real problem is spammers and shitposters that will result useless threads and waste of time from admins or mods to erase spam post by spammers rather than managing something important for bitcointalk forum.
272  Other / Meta / Re: Why are posts deleted? on: April 29, 2018, 08:50:24 PM
Mods are cleaning posts that are scams, out of topic, repititive, rule breaking posts that will lead to deleted post. If your post is deleted the reason is as follows what I mention in the first place. These days there are lots of spammers that's why admins, mods decided to clean shitposters, spam post to make this forum good and well organized.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: hold or sell? help me on: April 29, 2018, 08:40:16 PM
Currently I own a lot of altcoin, I bought them at ico. My account is being downgraded several times. There are many people who say bitcoin will continue to decrease, so altcoin prices also decreased compared to USDT. So now, should I sell them and wait for the price to buy back? Give me advice  Sad Sad
If you're in desperate need of money then you should sell portions of your altcoin, if not don't sell yet until the price start to increasing before you sell your altcoins and earn profit in return.
274  Other / Meta / Re: How do I get merit and trust? on: April 29, 2018, 08:22:51 PM
I am still new in this and i want to learn more about it. I just want to asked what is merit and trust for? How can i earn merit and trust and where can i get it? Are merits and trusts important here?
You can get trust from another member when handling a campaign with a position or trading. You can earn merit from another member with merit if they have smerit(sendable merit) available to give but of course there is a requirement on earning merit by creating a good quality, constructive post that is not out of topic which help you earn. Once you have merit you could also send merit to other user. There is a thread created by sir theymos about merit if you want to know more about merit system here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0
275  Other / Meta / Re: My posts are deceasing? on: April 29, 2018, 07:51:34 PM
From last 2 weeks my posts are decreasing, What is the issue?
I have the same situation as you are right now. The issue of your post decreasing are,
Your post may be posted in wrong section.
Your post may be considered a spam.
Your post may be out of topic.
Your post may be posted already by another user that will lead to duplicating of topic.
Try opening your message inbox in bitcointalk forum. They will send you a message that your posts are deleted because it is off topic or any other reason. Tips I have read is avoid posting things that needed to be deleted.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PURPOSE OF TOKEN? on: April 28, 2018, 10:47:44 PM
If you mean token = alternative cryptocurrency, then you can exchange it oneday to Ethereum, and ethereum is convertable to bitcoin, lol.
I suggest you to do the steps that is provided above. If you just started in cryptocurrency do you think you can buy 1 btc? I think not if you're not rich so tokens are created. Your tokens can be traded to ethereum by using trading site then ethereum to bitcoin.
277  Other / Meta / Re: Easiest Steps to get Merit on: April 28, 2018, 10:24:24 PM
4. Sit back and expect your Merit.
I don't expect merit it doesn't work that way right now. For jr. members like me won't earn merit if we won't gather knowledge to help us create good quality post. If someone tell me that I am a shitposter or spammers I would also tell them that when you start from the beginning you're also a spammer and shitposter until you achieved what you have right now.
278  Other / Meta / Re: Where can I find new members to award with merits on: April 28, 2018, 09:31:16 PM

I don't know how you guys play this role of giving sMerits.

Hey - we aren't playing, this is serious. Smiley

I used to enjoy looking around, as I found some interesting threads that I probably wouldn'y have opened had I not been distributing largesse.

Recently it seem to be more annoying than interesting. I thought the merit system had improved things, but there seems to be a new influx of members who don't care. I start to wonder if it is a load of bots who don't have aspirations above Junior.
As far as I can tell merit system did not prevent all user to create spam post rather than creating good quality post that deserves a merit. I think he wants to earn merit. Just create one so you would receive a merit.
279  Other / Meta / Re: Signature campaigns need more merit? on: April 21, 2018, 07:08:02 PM
Hi everybody
I'm a new member of this forum (3 months), I find that many people in this forum need "Merit" to do signature campaigns rather than having a forum with quality posts (less posts spam).Try to help newcomers to this forum, create quality articles, create help articles like posting images on forums, creating forum posts, tips for your friends on the forum. v... v. Do not think much about merit, you will find things easier
This is also a spam post. But it makes me feel relieved to say what I think about merit, I know only some people like that.
Sorry for my English not good
This post mentioned about merit again?. This is completely waste of time as there is already provided in bounty campains that if your rank is higher you would receive more stakes and admin post already a thread on rank requirements. This topic will be good if it is all about sharing information and tips on creating good quality or constructive post that will surely help newcomers and less experienced members.
280  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk slow or just me? on: April 21, 2018, 06:57:56 PM
Well that explains some stuff.
I was wondering if my internet was slow. Smiley
I myself did not experience that one but i did experience slower than yours not because of my connection. Someone may have plan this a lonh time before attacking bitcoin talk. As of now it's doing fine i can easily scroll and read post and replies to any topic that I haven't know or lack of information.
