1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Step-by-step guide to mining for newbies (January 2014) on: January 10, 2014, 12:14:06 AM
Definitely a good guide. I've had some luck mining PTS and Litecoins then exchanging them on Cryptsy. Of course I had to invest in a Radeon GPU since my Nvidia card doesn't quite cut it. A shame. My GTX 770 is outperformed by a 3-4 year old Radeon when it comes to mining haha.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Gyft Now Lets You Buy Victoria's Secret Lingerie With Bitcoins on: January 09, 2014, 11:25:48 PM
Not specially interested in this item but gyft is growing rapidly and with it's use of BTC's is positive for the price of bitcoins.

Definitely! And with China not making waves, Zynga testing BTC payments and Netflix *rumoured* to be considering accepting BTC I think the future is looking bright. Of course this is a volatile as hell currency so I say that with a grain of salt.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COINYE - this is a good day on: January 09, 2014, 10:24:02 PM
So how does one mine Coinye at the moment? I don't know much about mining and am just getting started but even if this isn't worth more than .000024 it'd still be fun to mine something new and actually earn some coins. I'm a little late to the BTC party so I'm not anticipating mining many of those!
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I forgot what a serious pain in the ass the newbie jail is! on: January 09, 2014, 09:36:27 PM
Since farm animals aren't my thing I really have nothing to contribute to this conversation.

Side note: My daughter is watching the Nightmare Before Christmas for probably the 20th time since Halloween. Shoot me.
