1  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Butterfly Labs 60 GH/s miner *in hand* (asking 1.25 bitcoins) on: December 05, 2013, 11:28:12 AM
Just a FYI - I offered more than the asking price with escrow and was refused.

I also requested pictures. Nada.

I advise caution with this new member seller.

You basically offered me $9 more than the asking price and you wanted fast international shipping to be included. Wow. You're so generous.

Just cause someone doesn't bother responding to a somewhat offensive offer, doesn't mean they can't accommodate the requests of a serious buyer that provides a serious offer. You just weren't one of those people, no offense.

Please send me a Pm and leave your name here. I'm fast to respond.

I'm selling a Butterfly Labs 60 GH/s miner: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=357364.0

Its BTC2.1 from Butterfly shipped this week.

Do you have a real price?

Things just keep getting better and better (*end sarcasm*).

What is a realistic price these days for a Butterfly Labs 60 GH/s miner?

I was drooling until I saw your asking price. You can get them for a little over half your price on eBay and Amazon.

Thanks for pointing this out Lucky Cris. This sucks for me. Cry I've adjusted my asking price to reflect current online prices.
5  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Butterfly Labs 60 GH/s miner *in hand* (asking 1.25 bitcoins) on: December 04, 2013, 05:01:20 PM
My wife wants me to sell my Butterfly Labs 60 GH/s miner... I recently received it and it's practically new (just opened the box to give it a look over).

The wife asked me to stop spending money on mining equipment. I didn't think she was serious, but she is. So, for me, right now, marriage > mining.

I'm asking 1.25 bitcoins for it. I'd prefer pickup (in the New York area), but I'll ship. Shipping is free within the USA. For international shipping, that will be extra.

If you're serious about buying it, then PM me your offer. I'm not interested in low-ball offers (the wife would be even more angry with me if I took a low-ball offer). Interested people living outside of the USA with serious offers, let me know your zip code (and country of course) so I can let you know the shipping costs.

*Edit: I've edited my asking price to reflect the current online prices/trends.

It depends. Are you learning something new everyday and putting it into action? If that's the case, then stay. If you're just reading the forums everyday but never doing anything, then you should find something better to do with your time.

h3m96, you should first decide on which coin(s) you want to mine for, then determine what is the best rig (CPU or GPU) that you can get within your budget.

I thought it was a bubble at $300 and sold 13 BTC. Never mind, I was happy at that moment, and would be more bothered if the price had fallen and I hadn't sold, than the fact it's risen since.

But what I've mined since I'm holding on to for now  Roll Eyes

I've known people who held onto stock in the hundreds only to watch it go down to pretty much nothing. Be happy with your profits.

I'm jealous that you can mine..........

Don't rely on "luck" for your success. "Luck" is just a byproduct of hard work. It's like being stuck on an island. You could hope that someone will see you and rescue you while you do very little. Or, you could work hard at setting up as many signals as you can that will catch the eyes of people passing by. Hopefully (by "luck") someone will see one of your signals and rescue you from your poor condition.
