can you please add a option like this: - Sell All and STOP If % With Ref Price Is :
With this STOP option we can do some profit if the coin is rising and do not loose that much if the coin is constantly falling.

Sampey, this might be a MAJOR code headache but could be very profitable if you can code it.. Is it possible to calculate arbitage between the ltc and btc markets for coins in both? Example, doge coin in ltc drops down to where it is more profitable to buy the doge in ltc then sell it in the btc market instead of just ping ponging in the btc market.. Perhaps call it cross market ping pong. The program would calculate every time it checked its normal ping pong, or every third to reduce api strain on cryptsy.. Of course this option would only be available if you had ltc in your account otherwise it wouldn't trade across the markets. I'm not a coder so I don't know how easy(if possible) this is. But I do know I've done it a few times without the program and made some decent returns.. Just had to have a calculator handy and quick fingers. Thanks again for the program... I'm now 1/6 of my investment recovered in your program.  i think this is a very good idea I also think this is a fantastic idea. Please prioritize this Sampey! If we can successfully do it manually, it can be done by a program. |

LTC has been consistently successful for me. I only use around 7 LTC.
BTC I use a lot more and only get a bit more than in LTC.

- Skip Orders With Total < Than. With this Option Active C.A.T. during his Algorithm will not consider orders with total amount lower than the parameter value.
- Don't create ping with total < Than. After a successfull Ping-Pong the total amount of this order will be put in the "Cauldron" and from the "Cauldron" will be created new sell/buy orders. With this option activated you will limit the creation on "little orders". If total in Cauldron will be < than this parameter, C.A.T. will wait for more money in cauldron.
e.g. if we were using DOGE/LTC, would the total be referring to total Doge quantity, or total LTC quantity?

Sampey...thanks for your responses ! Things are definitely getting clearer for my brain  I'd like to make some suggestions for the program then, mostly about getting feedback on how the algos and markets you have chosen are performing.... - I think most people would like to keep track of daily earnings over a 24hr period, so sum of all ping pong successes. This should be calculated between a user configurable set time each day. I think many users would do their daily housekeeping around the same time each day and then want the 'new' period to start after this. Historical daily earnings in a graph would be great. Graph needs to be interactive, so can hover to see actual values.
- It would be great to see which markets have given the best returns on each previous day, so users can make decisions as to if it is worth staying in that market or not. Maybe this is easiest shown on a stacked area chart with one colour to each market, as this also shows the total (above). The problem with this is what happens when users remove markets and add new ones to their trading ? What you could do is simply make the colour code for each market directly from the market ID via a formula. There is a chance you might end up with too similar colour next to each other, but on the plus side users would be able to post and compare charts, and each market colour would be consistent.
I think both of these are good suggestions, and it would be nice to see users posting their results, gloating over their massive profits  Might be good advertising for CAT too...if you want that.... These are definitely 'nice to have' suggestions with low priority cheers +1 |

Although it hasn't made as much as I'd hoped for on average (I was hoping for 0.05-0.1BTC each day), today I made around 0.065 BTC which I am pretty happy with (30% was in the form of LTC gains).  As some others have said here before, try to stick to the coins that you would be buying otherwise (coins that you see some value in), plus maybe a few coins with some nice buy/sell % diff that seem to work for you. Currently mine is set to 0.5% minimum gains. |

Luca can you add btc balance at the end of gain after --total cumulative gain--
so we can track whether the gain is meaningful or not
To do this i must execute a full Call and a complete estimated portfolio value. And i must do this for BTC-LCT and XPM. I will check for this but surely not in next version. Worst thing is that result will be terrible, because estimated values is a real estimate (too much estimate) even separately would be nice. e.g. BTC at start of day is 1 BTC, at the end of the day it's 1.5 BTC so effective profit is 0.5 BTC (0.75 gain minus 0.25 devaluation) and then separately for LTC and XPM I don't think this would be difficult - just recording our balance in each of BTC, LTC and XPM at the start and end of each session/day |

It's my first day using CAT and I've apparently made a gain of 0.025 BTC+ in half a day, but overall my balance has gone down for some reason.
My settings are 'Normal' with 0.6% guaranteed gain, sell all if % with ref price is < -1%, and (mostly) never buy/sell directly.
I think I can think up better settings though. e.g. I want markets to automatically quit while they're ahead.

My gain is about .15 per day but my balance only went up a mBTC or 2 today. wow! how many markets do you use? and how often do you reset/re-place the ping orders (how long do you leave it running without starting over and placing new ping orders)? |
