For anyone interested:

There will be an AMA/Showcase for ALQO.

Questions for the AMA can be submitted until today 08 march 2019 in the AMA section on Discord.

From Kevin (ALQO team) on Discord in the AMA section:
Please post your questions for the upcoming AMA/Showcase here.
Please make sure to not ask questions multiple times - so first read all the questions before posting/asking.

PS: I‘ll edit this post on Friday and going to list all questions that are going to be covered in the AMA.
I might also include some questions from the livechat during the stream.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ALQO] Scalable Payment Network | Swiss Fiat Exchange: Bitfineon | Liberio dApp on: March 02, 2019, 10:14:35 AM
It is end of Q1 now only thing that there is no new release

1. They said they need a new codebase now to launch the exchange

2. Jared mentioned that VC funding is required to launch the exchange. However, Kevin says differently that they will launch they exchange without VC funding if needed

3. Fan bois are slowly dying

In summary they will not be able to raise VC funding without a product that has actual users. They banned most of their community members that were forcing them to answer the hard questions and to help keep them keep focused.  The project will die slowly during the rest of 2019.

Will wait for the fan bois to now comment. Not sure how much more red flags you need than this. They were not transparent before but now the writing is on the wall, Jared choose to be transparent to not misrepresent information since he can be sued as he is based in the US

Well won't be seeing me back on this thread. I have fully excited this scam. Guess it happens to the best of us

Everyone can be  ALQO critical. No one gets banned for asking critical questions.
When a certain group of people having their own, dubious, secret, innofficial anti ALQO Discord channel, where they planned and attempted hacks, there is no excuse for that and that resulted in a ban of certain community members. Screenshots from their conversations were leaked into the official Discord channel by the way. That a legendary bitcointalk member starts to defend hackers instead of fighting them, i really can not understand.

Yep you can't withdraw, is just like a game. A scam game.

True. And even if they should ever go live with the mainnet (which was planned in June 2018 by the way), all these earned tokens on the plattform will be dumped on the market and mostly worthless. People getting thousands/ten thousands of tokens for every crap video they are uploading.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VICE - The Revolutionary Adult Cryptocurrency on: February 24, 2019, 12:43:33 AM
It's a scam guys. Just stay away, please.
How do you know that ?
Very similar to fraud. The road map does not say anything about what has already been done, but only plans for the future.

Have you checked their service touch.tube? I see that it works and really gives you the opportunity to earn VIT for posting, viewing and liking the videocontent for adults. I also see the rise in the cost of the token and good activity on Twitter.

When you send VIT ER20 tokens to touch.tube or earn it, they will be converted/given as `native VIT tokens` (mainnet is not live), which can not be withdrawn or sold since they are not traded anywhere.
Only the ER20 tokens sold on exchanges or bought during ICO can be traded.

On the basis of what you say it? Have you tried to withdraw  tokens from there? As far as I could understand - this is the slow process, as on Steemit.
No you can not. You can look for yourself. These tokens are more like placeholder tokens, not real native tokens, since the mainnet is not live yet. These are not listed on an exchange. You can send them only between users on the platform.
Only the er20 tokens on the exchanges or in your er20 wallet can be traded, not these tokens on the plattform.

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VICE - The Revolutionary Adult Cryptocurrency on: February 22, 2019, 08:35:03 AM
They made a new website in february 2019 (https://www.visionindustry.com)
They are so lazy.
They literally copied the nearly exact roadmap from 2018 and made it as roadmap 2019 on their new website.

Crowdsale did end in march 2018 not in 2019.
You even can still sign up for the newsletter for the crowdsale which ended in march 2018.

The exchanges listed on the new website are copied from the old one and are not updated. VIT is not traded on Hitbtc, cryptopia or stocksexchange.
Also the twitter link on cmc or on their websites does not work anymore.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 📢[ANN]🔴Solve.Care - Healthcare on Blockchain🔴🌎 on: February 17, 2019, 02:08:39 AM
Team tokens are locked until first may 2019.

The unlock schedule was public before Solve even started trading and posted on their social media channels.
People who`s coins were unlocked yesterday dumped the coins.

Coins are locked one year after purchase day during ICO. My coins are still locked until mid april.

Token unlocks are every two weeks. The biggest unlock ever was already on 16.02.19 with 115 million tokens.
The next big unlock events are on 01.05.2019 with 68 million and on 01.08.2019 with 60 million. These unlocks contain mostly team tokens and early advisor tokens so it should be less likely that they will be dumped or at least it should be less severe.
The other unlock dates are unlocking only smaller amounts.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VICE - The Revolutionary Adult Cryptocurrency on: February 07, 2019, 02:48:01 PM
This is shady and scam.
Did only ask one question what happend with playboy implementation in the telegram channel (I bought during ICO and afterwards and that was the main selling point back then).
Instead of an answer, I got immedeately banned in the new community channel.

I complained in the old community channel that i got banned and got banned again even there.

Asking only a simple question and get banned. Thats is ridiculous and scares even the last remaining community members away.

There are some nice news/updates on the Discord channel in the announcement section for everyone who missed it.

Would be best to share them on all relevant channels and I would say that bitcointalk is part of the relevant channels!

okay. Copied the recent three announcements from Discord see below:

1. Announcement on 30.01.2019
@everyone
Update: ALQO & Bitfineon Q1 2019

I begin this announcement by thanking the ALQO community for their patience while we build out our roadmap during this bear market, a time when anxiety can run high & sentiment can seem overly negative. Many projects will not make it out of this market intact & that is simply a sad reality in an industry such as crypto. Having said that, my trip to Germany has been very productive - I've been here almost 3 weeks. If you've been active in the #general chat channel, you may have noticed several discussions which Kevin & I took part in that gave details as to the work we were focused on during my time in Germany. I believe it is easier to work intensely while being physically present with your team & that an increased sense of focus & determination is fostered by close daily interaction. That has been the case with this trip. We have focused on Bitfineon development, ALQO 2.0 codebase (named: POLARIS), business operations maintenance, & partnerships.

Many speculated the purpose of my trip was to launch Bitfineon, & while that is a plausible assumption, you can see the scope is much larger. ALQO's ecosystem is complex, & to foster long-term viability, we need a wholistic approach predicated on a unique set of features which can only be found in building a new codebase in POLARIS. Many of the unique features & services that Bitfineon will offer will make use of POLARIS, and it's simply impossible to ignore its requirement for a successful launch provided the increased scope. Originally, we believed the Bitcoin Core code, which ALQO currently is built-on, would be sufficient; it simply is not - this realization was made several months ago, and the codebase planning began in earnest. We understand the complexity of the undertaking may bring scrutiny, but I can assure you Polaris will bring much needed innovation to ALQO & further delineate our project from the myriad of alt-coins presently available.
@everyone
POLARIS will enable:

1) POLARIS will empower the Easy-ICO, STO platforms being built on Bitfineon. It will allow us to issue prebuilt smart contract-like templates (via GAVEL to allow projects to launch fully compliant & error-free smart contracts for the purpose of accepting payments for their capital raise purpose. These can then be launch directly on Bitfineon.

2) POLARIS will allow us to create feature rich connectivity between Bitfineon & Liberio, such as in-wallet trading directly from Liberio on Bitfineon via our AUCTIONS platform. Settlement of auction payments will be handled via a discreet pre-built escrow smart contract developed for POLARIS.

3) POLARIS will enable a unique feature called Minimal Viable Chain (MVC). This feature will allow us to run Liberio on platform-agnostic devices where resources are limited, eliminating the need for complete copies of the chain to be present to process transactions.

4) POLARIS' highlighted feature is the GALE protocol, which is a fundamental departure from Bitcoin's codebase & its original input-output Nakamoto record-keeping structure (UTXO). On-chain operations will no longer consist of a string of simple inputs & outputs, but of fungible, cohesive & fluid-like account balance credits.

All POLARIS' features will be detailed in the upcoming release of the POLARIS lite-paper, which will be released in the next several days.
@everyone
Bitfineon Launch

Where does the new chain development leave the release of Bitfineon? It's a valid question, since it seems that many projects are launching exchanges & claiming it to be the next best thing - we are focused on building out tech that will validate this claim. Bitfineon CANNOT simply be another exchange, there are too many. It needs to have significant product identifiers & differentiators, & we have several, one of which is NEUTRINO (our proprietary GPU based matching engine, capable 60mn-plus tx/ps). And, POLARIS will enable a whole slew of features that competitors will be unable to copy. In addition, unique products such as ARENA - a social trading HUB based on competitive gamification elements found in many eSport competition formats but applied to trading - we believe will increase user adoption & bring significant value to the Bitfineon platform. Lastly, the BETA UI is completed, & backend testing is ongoing, however we need to complete the codebase before a launch is made. It is a possibility we may open registrations for Bitfineon before the codebase is completed, but currently we're not providing a timeline for this possibility. We hope you understand, & we sincerely share in your anticipation for the release of Bitfineon.

We hope you will continue with us in this journey & are able to see the value we're determined to build with ALQO. My goal since accepting the role of CEO in July of last year was to help Kevin build a strong product-line, powered by innovation, which would make for a resilient brand in ALQO for years to come.

2. Announcement on 31.01.2019:

3. Announcement on 02.02.2019
New Codebase Info

We're happy to release further information regarding the new ALQO codebase, Polaris. This document showcases an overview of features which illustrates how ALQO will differentiate itself further and provide a growing set of use-cases to the ecosystem and crypto at-large. Please take a moment to read the document and ask questions you may have in #general.

There is a PDF linked in the Discord announcement. Do not know how to link it on bitcointalk

What happened with 4.2 wallets?

People reported some minor problems so they reverted it. Was not a mandatory update and not even announced officially so it did not affect many people.
Should not have been released in the first place.

From Discord:
@everyone We have removed the latest iteration of the QT wallet. If you upgraded, please revert to v4.1. Our apologies for any inconvenience.

Careful. ALQO (XLQ) is currently on the wrong chain on CE. You loose your funds if you deposit or withdraw them.

Hi,
any updates on this project?
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] Obirum - Blockchain Browser on: July 12, 2018, 04:24:04 AM
The general impression: the guys learned about the existence of the ICO, took the existing project and technically fastened the necessary parts (whitepper, roadmap, etc.) to it. Maybe, of course, I'm wrong, but the project, personally to me, does not inspire confidence. Perhaps the guys are in the matter of financing to focus on the people of Vietnam, because at the international level - the project does not hold out.

Hi,

the project is dead. The admin statet: ico is fail.  The ICO made already an exit scam and disappeared. All social media channel were deleted and the team disappeared. Their website got also deleted.

The obirum admin changed his telegram username again from @tomcrypt to @FoCrypto

Best wishes

Adding the statement from Scott Winges the admin of ddex regarding delisting obirum:

Scott Winges, [01.06.18 21:51]
Hey man - sorry for the trouble here

Scott Winges, [01.06.18 21:51]
OBR was delisted after some users claimed the project was being sketchy. They have since then removed all of their social links from their site, so we delisted them ASAP to prevent further damages
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Experiences with CoinsMarkets.com? on: June 18, 2018, 02:35:44 AM
Well this totally sucks...  I hope they catch this freaking guy, and he returns our money.. although it will probably never happen.. I noticed that everyone seems to just accept that they have been jacked.. and that sucks... I don't know if you guys have seen what this supposed guy looks like but here's a link to see for yourself.

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@cryptonyte67/coinsmarkets-com-exchange-the-bizarre-scam-that-fooled-the-world

Also.. if you notice in the whois for coinsmarkets.com it is registered under a Kirkland Washington address... instead of tokyo like it used to be. Apparently the owners alias is Michael Weber..

Last thing... the website actually went down because the domain registrar is locked.. notice below.

Domain Status: registrar-lock* https://www.icann.org/epp#registrar-lock*

So it is from my understanding that the reason the website got shutdown completely is because of the domain host.. So.. not sure what anyone else's feedback is but we have to keep talking about it in order to keep the story alive and have a possibility of getting our crypto back.

...

I highly doubt that 'the' Michael Weber with so many connections to bitcoin is the same guy behind coinsmarkets.  Or... maybe it is and this guy is some kind of serial scammer who just can't resist the allure of stealing from people through the most absurdly sociopathic ways ever conceived.  I'm glad the website seems to be not working again but I wonder if he'll just spin it up in some other way and get the IPs out for wherever it has a new host again.  I mean, that seems to be the enjoyment factor for whoever is running this.  for now, they are probably enjoying that people even comment further about it.

Was there ever an accounting of what was lost?  I wouldn't doubt if it were into 7-figures.

But yeah, not happy to lose what I lost.  I won't say how much it was... It was more than a little but not so much as to stop me from working in crypto.  I do operations as a business so I account for expenses and this will be categorized as a theft/fraud loss which happens everyday in business.  Don't get me wrong... I'm not at all okay with this but it does come with the territory here in crypto-land.

If they caught every crypto criminal and restored all stolen wealth then bitcoin really would be worth over $100K right now.

@grendel25 That`s a very great post.

Coinsmarkets not only stole our coins, there are torturing us in the most sociopathic way. They are enjoying playing games with us.
Everyone is frustrated about coinsmarkets and that they got away with it, but our lives goes on :-)

Interesting to know if there are any authorities investigating the case, since many reported them?! I never heard from any authorities doing something.

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Experiences with CoinsMarkets.com? on: June 01, 2018, 05:03:34 AM
Only in case someone missed it.

Coin dumping from coinsmarkets on crypto-bridge:

User Allanosti1 is coinsmarkets on https://crypto-bridge.org/ exchange:
https://bts.ai/u/allanosti1

It is confirmed by ALQO Team. When you click on the link, you see all coins which were dumped and sold on crypto bridge (also many other coins besides ALQO).

Last dumping was on 05/05/2018

Maybe you can tell him to return all ETH received in funding then, still leave people that did bounties empty handed but at least they won't be prosecuted. At least their names are known as posted above.

Obirum is scam.

Even one of the community manager said: `I didn't get any info from dev side since their stop the comunity manager. Obviously they are big scam!`
The problem with scammers is, they not care about the feelings or hardship of their investors. They not react even if you threaten them. Most scammers even enjoy toying with their victims or stalling them. I now that because it is not the first scam i got into  Sad

For vietnamese investors who lost money it is more easy to report the scam. For investors outside from vietnam it is obviously more difficult.

I hope some vietnamese investors are taking steps and reporting them. It would be great, if they could post any steps they have taken.

Everyone who wants to write to the obirum admin (probably he will ignore you): He changed his username on telegram to @tomcrypt

Edit: Many messages i post on the obirum telegram channel get deleted. The obirum admin is spying in there and delete inconvenient messages. If you want to tell your opinion, maybe bitcointalk is better. I also improved my first post a little bit.
