301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does KYC gives you ? on: May 14, 2018, 04:02:02 AM
Hi.can someone tell me if KYC is ok ? what could be the effects of doing it especially in bounties/airdrops, they are requiring to pass KYC before joining
It is good if they require KYC even before you join a bounty campaign because you have the option of not joining if you feel like not giving up your identity. To be honest i don't know what happen to the documents i submit after the bounty campaign.
302  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin cannot be reached 20000$ this year?? on: May 14, 2018, 12:21:34 AM
We do not understand where are going to bitcoin ?  last few weak bitcoin again up to near 10000$ but today bitcoin down and its already gone under 9000$ . So i think bitcoin never reached 20000$ this year .What are u option about it please explain?
There is a speculation from a Wall Street veteran that bitcoin will reach the $25k at the end of this year but they way it is going now i think that it will not go that way. Bitcoin has hard time breaking the $10K resistance.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with the rewards you received? on: May 13, 2018, 11:41:34 PM
I am familiar with people who also participate in generosity companies. Some of them do not rush to sell received Tokines, others on the contrary, immediately after the issue of tokens the exchange is sold. My friend advised me to send them to EtherDelta. When receiving tokens, place orders for the sale of x2 - x10 (depending on the project) and just wait until they are purchased.
What do you do with the received tokens?
As for me that have not receive anything yet, i plan to hold for some time the token that i will receive because i just observe on many ICOs that the moment the token will be listed on the exchange the prices drop and recover after some time.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KUcoin forcing KYC for every users on: May 13, 2018, 10:45:24 PM
KUCoin has decided to force KYC for every of it's users.

Quote
In an attempt to remain as one of the most trustworthy and transparent exchanges in operation, KuCoin will start enforcing KYC checks on users. This measure is to ensure KuCoin remains compliant with the developing regulations in the crypto industry.

Forcing KYC was the one of the reason for once number one exchange Bitrex to move down to 7th position at current time.
KUCoin is not even in top 30. What will be the effect of such move be on the exchange and cryptocurrency overall?

https://news.kucoin.com/en/kucoin-will-enforce-kyc-for-users/
Providing KYC on exchanges is i think one of the rules in regulating exchanges. In my own opinion, it would be advantageous to user's side if all user will provide KYC because this would ensure that this exchange is transparent and does not involve in fraud.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too dangerous ico strategies?? on: May 13, 2018, 01:57:15 PM
Now lots of ico only intention into collecting fund they least bothered developing product or giving revolutionary solution . Forget about revolution not even working business model
Now horrible ico strategy
1) hire reputed bounty and announcement manger ( I don’t understand what qualification gave them manager quality most of them are some kids not even knowing what is blockchain )
2) create attractive video promo and website
3) pay ICO reviewing sites get good ranking and display it in beginning of website
4) copy the white paper and other content hire content creator pay them to change the white paper or other webdite detsils which already raised funds couple of times.
This is one of the many downside here in the crypto world. Too many people are taking advantage of the anonymity of crypto and the non-regulation of government to the many ICOs launched. Scammers are also evolving and they are making ways not to be caught.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Positive News about Bitcoin on: May 13, 2018, 10:36:35 AM
I hope these positive news will contribute to the increasing price of bitcoin. These news might not be or might be hyped because of its high expectations on bitcoin. I am convince that there are countries or governments that really supports bitcoin especially those mentioned above.

Positive news brings positive outcome. People tend to bother when negative news are being link to bitcoin. I hope that this will continue because there are a lot of people who supports bitcoin. Our country supports bitcoin and this serves as a motivation to us to be more encourage to do the hard work.
Absolute, that is the power of good news. It will translate into bitcoin's price appreciation and other cryptocurrency as well. Cryptocurrency always react to news around us specially with governments plan on regulation.
307  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin be banned on Philippines? on: May 13, 2018, 06:05:29 AM
I dont think so.. Philippines plans to develop rules on cryptocurrency trading which is a good sign.

I think increased regulation will help to reduce the volatility of the coin. A lot of the recent gains have had a lot to do with countries like (South) Korea and Japan really getting into the cryptocurrency space
The Philippine government has no immediate plan on banning bitcoin in relation to the recent 900 million peso scam that allegedly because of bitcoin. I dig deeper into the news and i found out that it has no relation to bitcoin or whatsoever.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding is bullshit? on: May 10, 2018, 10:24:49 AM
sometimes holding be a bad thing. I this it is better today trade to effectively gain profits
but sometimes holding can give nice rewards as an example i sold my mag of neo at 22$ now see the price.it has been the stupidest things i have ever done.but we learn from our mistakes
So, it would be better if you do research and set a good strategy before holding coin for the long term.
Holding coins are be safest way to gain profit and it is low risk compared to trading. You just have to select coins which you think are the best for holding and better to spread your investments to at least 5 coins.
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 09, 2018, 09:22:37 PM
Cleveland vs Gsw it will be the final and win the course first) well at least I so want), although Houston can still show something!
The finals is definitely going to be the Boston Celtics against the Houston Rockets. Because in honesty I am sick with Cavaliers and Warriors finals and with the Cavaliers squad depleted they would have had it so easy.
Lol, yeah i agree that it would be a bad sight to see the Cavaliers and Warriors fought it out for the Finals but that would be biggest possibility right now. The Celtics minus their two star players is definitely won't make into the Finals. Fighting heart alone can't win the games for game, it would need the talent of Kyre Irving to guide them to the Finals.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: what are the best exchange sites? on: May 08, 2018, 08:46:29 PM
At the end of 2017, the Binance ranked first in terms of trade volumes. I also began to use it and I like it.
Binance exchange is a very good centralized exchange at the moment. It is becoming very popular now because user of this exchange including me did not encounter big problems during transaction.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I buy TRON or ETH? on: May 08, 2018, 10:54:23 AM
If i'm looking to make my first crypto purchase, which one would you suggest buying and why? I love ETH because it's established but still not as expensive as BTC, but I also am hearing about TRX (TRON) nonstop...

If lets say I have $500 to start with, what should I buy and why?
If you ask my opinion i would go for ether because like what have you said it is an established coin and many projects are using it's platform. But the safest to invest your money is by spreading your investment, go for 50/50. Buy $250 ether and $250 Tron that way you are safe.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC at end of bounty campaign on: May 07, 2018, 08:56:14 PM
What do you think about bounty campaigns that announce their KYC check at the end of the campaign? Many bounty hunters simply don't want to do that and the bounty managers or the ICO teams get free promotion for their projects.

Is this fair?

Every bounty thread should clearly state, wether there will be a KYC or not. We should ask the admins for changing the rules regarding this issue.

What do you think?
I think it is not fair if the want a KYC for bounty hunters and they did not announce at he start of the project. I hope that they will reconsider their decision to give chance to those that can't provide KYC.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the Most Powerful Computer on Earth Hack Bitcoin? on: May 06, 2018, 07:52:23 AM
Let me avoid the technical aspects to make things easy for all readers.

So someone said that America's NSA has this great computer(quantum computer) that could easily hack Bitcoin private keys. I really doubt his claim but I know for sure that certain computers  like the most powerful Super Computers are within the reach of some of this Intelligence organizations.
Do you think such computers can crack any security codes put in place to make Bitcoin very secure?
I am not a technical person and i am not into computer programming but i tend to believe that no amount of computer power can hacked the blockchain because if that happens it would be the end of bitcoin.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cappasity (CAPP) - Going 10x Soon on: May 06, 2018, 03:43:17 AM
Sadly it did not happen, perhaps soon enough. The market in January, February, and March was not well. But I believe it will happen soon. I was actually amazed at how Cappasity (CAPP) came in with huge pumps by the time it reached the exchanges. Honestly, I did not give too much credit to this project before. This had only caught my attention because of the solid buys last year when Cryptopia listed its coin.
Yes, the 10X hype did not happen but still cappasity has it's moment where almost reached the $0.50 marked. I think that this coin still doing good because it's surpasses it's ICO price when it hit the exchange.
315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 06, 2018, 12:36:38 AM
Thoughts game between Cavaliers and Raptor Game 3. I think Cleveland Cavaliers can sweep again the Toronto Raptors just like they did last year in the playoffs. I don't see any chance for Toronto Raptors to win this series because Cleveland has the 3 home-court advantage..
I got a feeling that the Cleveland Cavaliers would sweep the Toronto Raptors even though that the Raptors had the home court advantage of the series. It would be an easy task for the Cavaliers to topple down opponents in the East. The true resistance for the Cavaliers team is out there in the West, most likely their tormentor, the Golden State Warriors.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 28, 2018, 09:14:16 AM
Westbrook's journey in the playoffs is over.
Although he did his best but he did not get the support from PG and Melo, still a good game for them as they were able to compete.
I think they need to evaluate things, and maybe change the line up next season, have some rest and enjoy your vacation Westbrook.
Thunder is out and it only proves that assembling 3 star players in one team would not always work wonders for that team. Still it boils down to who wanted to win the most and the chemistry of the team must be there all the time. Melo as we know is a liability when it comes to the defensive end of the floor.

I did not experienced to sold any token because i have not received anything yet but my plan if ever i would receive one is to hold it until the price will be x2 of the ICO price.
318  Economy / Economics / Re: You're not wealthy yet, so you're not allowed to be wealthy on: April 27, 2018, 11:29:27 AM
The rule that only accredited investors, which means people who are already wealthy, are allowed to participate in certain ICOs is senseless imo. It's like saying "YOU'RE NOT WEALTHY YET, SO YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO BE WEALTHY." Stupid society, with obsolete rules, we're living in.

Disclaimer: I'm not a US citizen, and I've not read that law
Don't know what country implemented that law but i think it is just unfair. Here in our country, if you are not wealthy but if you strive hard and word hard you have a chance to become wealthy. Everybody are allowed to be wealthy as long as your money came from legal business.
319  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin be banned on Philippines? on: April 26, 2018, 12:51:48 PM
Over 900 Million  pesos worth of bitcoins been scammed.

Filipino couple amasses at least P900M in alleged Bitcoin scam.
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Police have nabbed a couple promising easy wealth through popular cryptocurrency Bitcoin, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa announced on Tuesday, April 10.
Arnel and Leonady Ordonio were nabbed by PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) operatives – the police division in charge of high-stakes and high-profile crimes – in Vigan City last April 4 through an entrapment operation.

The scam, Obusan said, is structured like a pyramid scheme but with electronic money.

The Ordonios apparently had middlemen who lured people to invest. They promised to pay victims with their earnings every 15 days.

Fueled by the worldwide Bitcoin hype, more and more people were baited by the Ordonio couple's promises.

The complaints started piling in when investors lost contact with the Ordonios.
Whats happened  next?
Around 50 angry victims stormed to Camp Crame on Tuesday, asking the couple if they could still get back the money they had hoped would grow.

Will bitcoin be banned because of that?
I think it will not be a big issue here in the Philippines because in the first place it did not involve bitcoin at all, the scammers just used the word "bitcoin" to lure their victims to invest but the truth it does not involve cryptocurrency.
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 25, 2018, 11:23:19 AM
Any OKC fans here? I do not know what is happening but they are 1 game away from being ejected.

I thought they can overpower Utah Jazz with Carmelo Anthony and Paul George there but Ricky Rubio is making it so hard for them. Any Comments about this? I am losing my bet.
I am not an OKC fan here. I think the Thunder lack the scouting with regards to Ricky Rubio's style of play. He is the one big factor why they are up in the series right now. If they don't make some adjustments on how to depend Rubio, it would be goodbye for the Thunder come game 5.
