41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 01, 2014, 04:49:28 AM

The -m 1 flag tells cudaminer to allocate all of its GPU memory in one big chunk. Whether this works depends a lot on your particular computer's main (CPU) memory size because of some peculiarities of the WDDM driver model for graphics.

You can also leave away the -m 1 and try again.

The -m 1 flag makes a large difference in hashing for me.  Just for reference I'm using Windows 8 64-bit with 32GB ram.

running  -H 1 -m 1

running  -i 0 -m 1 -l Z15x24

If I use -H 1 in there I actually get much lower performance, something like 250 khashes, strange because I don't consider my overclocked 3930K to be a weak CPU.

Awesome, thanks.

I have 2 Reference 780 TI's, they run at 22khs with the -l Z15x24 config. Kinda weird. Whats your other config params ? -H 1 -m 1 ?

I'll post it when I get home but u do remember -H was 2.  What params are you running?

Can you throw up the compiled version of cudaminer.exe some where ?

I'm using the version from patoberli in post #3309

https://www.dropbox.com/s/71p1xnwy442mz0m/cudaminer_commit_133_x86.rar

Besides the increases for regular scrypt coins with his new version, I am getting around 5.6-7 khash for scrypt-jane (Yacoin),  excellent work Christian!

What are your settings for the overclock and temperature ? (curious and a bit jealous too ;-)

I put my new psu and put back my old gtx660 oem 1.5gb (and mod the bios to unlock the fan... allways wondered why it was locked at 65%... until I heard it...) to supplement the 780ti.
What kind of hashrate can I expect on MRC ? (right now it is doing around 210khash with the Y kernel. )

I'm running at 1164 with -90 to memory at 106% TDP, the card is at ~64C.  I can push a little more but it sometimes gets unstable. I'm debating flashing a new ROM on the card...

After seeing Romir's post about his watercooled 780 TI , I gave it a try with my "regular" (only overclocked) 780 TI...

With -l Z15x24  I'm seeing ~755khash, a nice improvement over 615-620

47  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN - Group Buy]Dualminer USB ASIC sha/scrypt miner $85 [USA Only][Batch #2] on: January 31, 2014, 04:24:13 PM
As far as it stands now Batch 1 is complete. Batch 2 has now started. If someone backs out of batch 1 then in line the next person will get there ordered filled with batch 1

I'll try one out...  EDIT : Payment sent.

Hi,

Just received mine, but I am having problems installing the BFG compatible driver.
When I try to update the drive (from device manager), I get the error message:

"The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems."

I'm running Win7 64bit.
Any advice?

Thanks

Are you pointing Windows to the directory that has your bifury_c4C.inf file?  That is the file that Windows is looking for?  It will work with the 64-bit version.

Wow that's a great speed there ManeBjorn. I might have to try the new firmwares, I am just using stock firmware right now.  I wonder if the newer firmwares would help.  I've also seen some mention of lights flashing on them but they are just solid green for me.

And I stand corrected, I received back a 7-port Anker USB 3 hub from Amazon today and they work in it.  Maybe they just don't like my 10-port Anker hubs.  They were running for a little while fine till I knocked one out trying to capture both speeds and the hub in the same picture, but I was able to hotplug it back in.

I have a few more on the way, what USB hubs are getting the best results with the Bi•Furies?  They do not like my Anker USB 3 hubs at all.

Thanks,

Bear

Do they work in your onboard ports but not the HUB?

Yes they work fine on-board I get a little over 5GH running at 44C with a little fan for cooling

Or here are the links:

The hardest one to find is the .inf driver file for windows.  Find it at this link... It's under "Other Files" --> "Miners" --> "BFGminer by Luke-Jr"  --> BFGminer windows inf (driver)

http://cryptostore.io/?page_id=550

Use BFGMiner 3.9.0 available here:

http://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/files/bfgminer/3.9.x/

You will want either 32 or 64-bit depending on your operating system

bfgminer-3.9.0-win64.zip
bfgminer-3.9.0-win32.zip

Your batch file (.bat) should look something similar to this:
(please fill in your mining pool info, along with worker name and password)

bfgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 -O workername:password -S all
