A recent report suggests that at current prices, Bitcoin miners will consume an estimated 8.27 terawatt-hours per year.

That might sound like a lot, but it’s actually less than an eighth of what U.S. data centers use, 1 and only about 0.21 percent of total U.S. consumption.

2. Swipe left, get your receive address (2NEQJkk....)

6. Click Autoconnect
7. Put 5 or so mBTC in the "Channel capacity"
8. Wait about 20 minutes (you might need to repeat steps 7,8)
9. Once your Lightning Channel says "NORMAL", swipe left.
10. Go here: https://starblocks.acinq.co and order a coffee.
11. Check out and click the "Scan a payment" with your app.
12. Pay.

PRICE LIMITS AND TRADING HALTS

    Cboe will halt trading in its contract for 2 minutes if the best bid in the XBT futures contract closest to expiration is 10 percent or more above or below the daily settlement price of that contract on the prior business day.

    Once trading resumes, if the best bid in the XBT futures contract closest to expiration is 20 percent or more above or below the daily settlement price of that contract on the prior business day, the futures will be halted for 5 minutes.

    CME will apply price limits, also known as circuit breakers, to its bitcoin futures of 7 percent, 13 percent, and 20 percent to the futures fixing price. Trading will not be allowed outside of the 20 percent price limit.

As a reminder, the CBOE plans to impose trading limits to curb volatility, halting trading for two minutes if prices rise or fall 10%, and a five-minute halt kicks in at 20%.

Margins for Cboe bitcoin futures, which will be cleared by Options Clearing Corp., will be at 40% or higher.

So far there have been no futures trading halts.

    Since November 2016, CME Group and Crypto Facilities Ltd. have calculated and published the BRR, which aggregates the trade flow of major bitcoin spot exchanges during a calculation window into the U.S. Dollar price of one bitcoin as of 4:00 p.m. London time.

    Bitstamp, GDAX, itBit and Kraken are the constituent exchanges that currently contribute the pricing data for calculating the BRR.”

A reference rate / benchmark calculated in the City of London that is used as a basis for the settlement of multi-billion dollar financial contracts.
