The delay is affecting the market in a positive way, the more delay the more hype and interest created, which has a chance to lure in possible investors. People, who get interested can invest further, during this deya time, which will bring more positive outcome for the project as a whole.
But these investors will vanish as soon as any negative news comes. First instance already visible, BTC drops from 8300 to 7800 as soon as news comes that ETF application by Winklevoss brothers have been rejected by SEC, and this happens within couple of hours. |

This delay is actually kind of a good thing because it will give the team and the project to be more mature and will be able to fix all the errors.

This is the biggest reason for a rise this year, we can have a new price level in the case of approval, FOMO has already begun, and if approved, should exceed 10k and have strong support in this area.
FOMO is clearly there, even though BTC having RSI well above 70 for 2,4,6,12hrs and daily, still people buying it and not letting it consolidate. For BTC to start another bull run, we need RSI to be under 60 for couple of days atleast. |

We all were eagerly waiting for 10th august to know the SEC's decision. Now we have to wait a bit more to know that  https://www.coindesk.com/sec-delays-decision-on-direxions-bitcoin-etfs-until-september/Personally I think it's good for the market and also it shows that SEC members are thinking a bit more before coming to any decision. Since the proposal asked for the wider public comments, 100's of comments have been made on there proposal and needless to say mostly in favor of supporting the ETF approval move. Also it keeps the hope alive among the investors and crypto world people. But it doesn't include the CBoE Bitcoin ETF application isn't it? They only delay is the Direxions so the Aug 10 is still on scheduled unless they postponed it as well. The most critical ETF application is CBoE, all eyes are watching because its going to make ror break the ecosystem. This delay with Direxions applications will be moot when the CBoE decision is given out in Aug 10. Yes correct, I have updated the same in the original post too. Once again, an attempt is made by the opponents of bitcoin to put the poles in the wheels of the cryptual currency that is already flying at all pairs of the train.
My opinion is that this pause in 8 weeks only strengthened the position of bitcoin.
Yeah, that's what I think too. BTC already at higher side of RSI, so it needed bit of breathing before another bull run, but because of this ETF news going to come on 10th aug, it wasn't getting that breathing space. Now it can stabilize around 8k for a week or so and start another bull run. |

Prolonging the decision opens more room for speculation, market movement, analysis etc., only for the ETF to be turned down again and cause the build up of the price to end in a grimly manner. While I like that they are trying to get some more time to think and reconsider all things that an ETF might bring, I'm quite anxious as to whether they'll really approve it or not. We've been through several ETF talks and none of them really materialized, so it might be the same scenario, just prolonging the anticipation of people and make the deep pockets profit from the hype.
Yes right, for the past as well these news becomes the profit makers for the big players or market movers. This is the first time though they asked for public opinions and posted the comments as it is. I like that they're trying to be more open and transparent with there this time. This news will give a breather to altcoins which were bleeding because of BTC's run on the upside, as well as BTC too will get stabilized around 8k now as it's already trading with 4,6,12hrs and daily RSI above of 70, which happened only in dec-jan bull run. Bitcoin breaks the long standing resistance of 7k and touched the 7.5k high in few hours. Currently it is consolidating pretty good for the last 2 days. I think next up leg is round the corner and that will take BTC above 8k level and nearby 8.5k. Also in august we might get the positive news about bitcoin ETF. If that's approved, we can easily break 10k level within a week or two for sure. Let's see how next 3 weeks goes. At the moment bulls are very much in control.

I don't think it will reach 50k this year or even by end of next year. It's currently on up move and there's rumor that bitcoin ETF will be approved on 10th august. But it seems unrealistic to see 50k price, which is 7 times of the current price. It means crypto market cap have to reach more than $1.5 trillion or so. I think BTC will reach to 10k by the next 2 months, and then we have to see how market reacts.

Obviously money is more safe in the banks only. But it will remain fix there with little to no interest earning. Crypto market is very volatile right now and hence the chances of it being lost are very high. Bitcoin still has a long way to go and one can only bet on it, but no one can predict the future with utmost certainty. Invest only that much which you can afford to lose, that's the very first rule of investing in crypto

So many ICO's being launched everyday, it seems pretty hard to track keep of all of them. Also there are already 2k coins/tokens already existing in the market. I think if you want to play safe and double or triple your investment in 12-18 months, I would say go 50-50 in BTC and ETH. Two of the kings in the crypto jungle and proved themselves every now and then. If you want to earn say 5-7x profit then have 50% investment in BTC and ETH and rest 50% in the low market cap but good projects. Some of the good projects as per me are POLY, PRIV, SUB, NEO, NANO.

very old post, but still very relevant for the guys looking to get rick quickly through crypto I don't think any coin will now give 100x returns, first of all people won't wait that much and they'll book there profit at max 10x (if any coin give that return too). I have researched on some of the projects and found 4-5 good 5-7x return profit projects. My criteria for selection is what there team is, how efficiently they're working on the project. Are they keeping there community happy with the progress they're making and in which vertical there idea falls. My personal favorite and underdog projects are these: 1. POLY - Targeting security tokens industry, first to do so. Could be ETH of security tokens and even bigger. Potential 10-12x coin in next 6 months 2. PRIV - A must coin, targeting privacy and anonymity vertical, will be huge in next 3-4 months. Atleast 3-5x profits in next 6 months for sure. 3. ONT (Not a underdog but still in very early phases of it's launch) |

In your opinion when do you predict alt coins will be stable again?
What's fun in that  If price becomes stable, why anyone would invest in the coin? They'll just chose another thing where they can get some profit from there investment. But yeah going ahead good projects will become less volatile then what currently they are. Only BTC and ETH are the two coins which don't drop as much as other altcoins. If crypto will have top 10 coins with less volatility, it will increase the trust of the investors in crypto space and more money will flow in. I think it will take another 3 years to reach to that level. |

I don't think ETH will go to 2k this year. It will be around $800-900. This year we have seen so much consolidation that it's hard to think ETH touching 2k mark. Unless there is huge so called institutions become interested in this crypto space all of a sudden Also ETH devs need to do so much on technology front too. Currently only 14tx per second and we have all seen how badly ETH network become congested whenever there is even 5% demand of any new coin based on erc-20. If they can take the transactions to couple of thousands per second than it will be huge plus for ETH price. |

Various reasons are there, first of all people invest in it thinking of get rick quick scheme but as they stay in the community, they come to know that project has no real use case and selling nothing new. So they try to take there investment back as soon as it got listed on exchange.
Secondly there is bounty and airdrop participants, they just try to sell there tokens at whatever price they got, thereby dumping the price. As a result even those who are serious about the project starts doubting the project and they too exited it.

Yeah, heard the news, so many stable coins are popping up now. I don't think we need so many stable coins though. There is one euro stable coin also coming in next month. We already have tether, true usd and I think they'll suffice for the requirement. Now this one has IBM backing so maybe people will trust it more in the coming months. Let's see how it goes. |

i was away from internet for 24 hours, BTC price was ~$6.350 today i come back and surprised with new price, it's now $7.400 and appear to be increased. that means $1,000 jump during last day, it's very good step to reach $30 k by the end of the year. i'm very glad that Bitcoin and other currencies are growing again that quickly.  Yes it was a good surprise for all of us, I too wasn't following the market but was in some of the airdrop groups and there people started talking about this. Then I saw the price on CMC. I was waiting for BTC to break 6900 and then 7100, and it turns out that it breaks both those resistance in one go and touched 7500. If bulls maintained this level till sunday evening, I'm pretty sure next week we'll see 8k price |

Pundi X is a good project with good team working on it. They already have so many devices installed and planning on doubling the POS machines in next 3 months or so. I think it has a huge potential to grow but 100x is a very big statement considering the sentiment of the market right now. It could go to 5-6x by the feb of next year, and maybe in next 8-10 years if all goes well for crypto then you can gain 100x of it. But I highly doubt you'll stay for that long in one project to see 100x gains  |
