1  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Recovery Services - for forgotten wallet password on: February 27, 2018, 11:35:55 PM
Just leaving a review for my man Dave here!!

I lost the password to my Mist wallet last year around November time, and had emailed Dave politely to retrieve my pw.

It was only a measly 1.19 ETH, and Dave was honest in the sense, he said it was low value, and he was inundated with other wallets, thus did not know when he would get round to it.

I emailed him again twice, last being in February, and he unlocked it for me. I provided him part of the PW and he did the rest.

He is the real deal guys!! Charges a 20% fee and lets you keep the rest.

I would advise someone looking into his services to be patient with him and not flood him with emails, but politely request an update every few months.

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards,

Laher

Hi T.k.

Thanks for the update, unfortunately I have not been able to come on discord yet. (I surprisingly do have an account to the app, so will pop in next time).

Looking forward to the unreleased technical details for the mainnet. Hope to chat to y'all on discord soon, at the next meet up. (My username is Synth on there)

Obviously, you are just another puppet account trying to get a slot...

That's a mighty accusation you have against me. Would a puppet account have over 18k XEM? I look forward to talking to you on discord, as synth (old username) when I have the time.

I clearly stated I signed up to BTT for this airdrop, as the project interests me, but I need more technical details and use case scenarios to take part in the convo, instead of one hit wonders like this that is negative and detrimental to this thread.

I don't use Discord so much, is it ok if I follow this thread as a mainly source of informations?

I actually use discord, rather than twitter or facebook. I have an account on the former, rather than the latter! Trying to assign social media requirements, is a bit futile, as someone stated, they can easily be made.

Hi Tk. I've noticed seemingly knowledgeable posts from Brand New accounts on the thread. Seems dubious that accounts are being created purely to apply for Nevra. Do you have a policy on this?

Tk808: Yeah, I definitely do notice all this. If you notice the spreadsheet, we're kind-of actively filtering accounts as we go along, flagging and making notes (and highlighting them in an orange background), so that should give some indication we are definitely aware of these accounts.
What I really can say about this, just by merely posting 1 long post on our ANN will not guarantee you a stakeholder status, we are going to review how active accounts are and etc. I'm going to be revealing the criteria list shortly before March 31st.
Users will have to be somewhat active on BTT, and it's a bit questioning that users know a lot about NEM and crypto's, but yet are posting with new accounts on BTT, the epicenter of all cryptos.

It is mentioned in the ANN that all filtered possible puppet accounts will be granted some kind of an appeal process to prove their originality, what is your plan on conducting this authentication and what do you think the requirement will be to meet these criteria? thanks

Tk808: That's an excellent question. We're actually going to go a bit more harshly on these individuals, especially if they are found to be puppets by the Nevra team, AND the community. I believe we are going to be almost asking for external validations and basically interviewing them on a 1-to-1 basis. Again, the details for that are not quite ready, but I’m actively working on all the details to release to the community on how these processes will occur.
we'll never do KYC verification, but maybe have them tweet @ us with their official social media accounts, but I really do not suspect many of the puppets to refute the decision.
Actually, I don't think many of the filtered accounts will even be around to keep track of our progress on Nevra.

I would love be more active in this topic, but I love technical talk, or use case. Which has not really been delved into much yet. Which is why I can't really comment further.

Most of the discussion right now is regarding the airdrop, rather than what market you attempting to aim at with Nevra, or the further technical functions of the chain.

Also what if someone does not have a social media account ? I don't use twitter/facebook or instagram, so this can be a problem to some, especially in the "cryptosphere".

I think once I get involved in this via the use case/technical chat, when it develops, I won't be too worried about validation. My XEM wallet, should speak for itself really :p (which I still need to set up!!)

Thanks for the Merit btw Smiley

Hi Guys,

New member here. Got into cryptocurrency recently and thus signed up for the XEV airdrop!

Now this is my first post, and I am actually a very recent holder of XEM. (I have enough that I can harvest on my own on a local server. but have not attempted it yet).

I sincerely like the technology of XEM, as it was built on new code, and has a lot of good real use cases in planning, which is why I got into it initially. What has concerned me, is XEM has allowed a socialist government, ran by a dictatorship, to use their blockchain for their local assets/currency. That is what has been announced on their social media twitter account.

Where does XEV stand on this issue? Of course a blockchain is free for anybody to use, but there must be some level of control as to whether it's use is for the same values it promotes, or the opposite.

I like how XEV is standing for equality, freedom and trust. This was the original goal of the first cryptocurrency, which was BTC, but it ended up being in control of miners, and whales. I like how this airdrop is geared towards promoting these original values, which I not only support them on this forum, but also critique. I believe equality, freedom and trust can be garnered on a blockchain, only with equal distribution of coins, where whales cannot hoard large amounts for their own gain, which is predominant in a lot of top coins now.

In this instance, the developers choice not to hold an ico, or ask for donations, is a great move, as it will ensure coin distribution can be done on merit and interest, instead of how large the bag is, and how much profit one is going to make in the end. I believe more can be done on marketing this airdrop, so more people can be involved, and thus more coins be distributed evenly across the world, but of course I respect the whitepapers and founders decision to remain low key in this aspect. To be honest, with 1000 stakes, the low key aspect should be effective, as long as bots and hoarders are weeded out. I love the idea that you will have three rounds in april to filter out puppet accounts. Is this right? I don't need to know how you will implement this, some secrecy regarding your methods would be beneficial to the KYC process, I believe.

I am looking forward to the white paper being updated, in April, so I can look at the more technical aspects of this project. Do you plan on implementing anything like Catapult? What is your ambition regarding the TPS the network will run at?

Really liking the fact that you the founder is trying to prove a point on principle, than chasing moons. Thank you for starting this project. Wish you success, and a further continued zeal for genuity.

Btw is your username based of the roland 808 ? Nice drum machine Smiley
