It would be great if somebody make a mirror as a tor hidden service and in I2P network. Doing so we could survive gov/hackers attacks. I was very nervous and can't sleep due to this recent bitcoin.org shutdown.

Cryptoman,

> Is there a premium?

Here is my "system":

Safeway / Von's has a kiosk for GiftCardMall.com gift cards with the retailers and denominations that I listed on that BiddingPond listing.

The special offer from Safeway was $15 voucher for the next grocery purchase if you buy $150 of gift cards.

So, if you already plan to buy groceries at Von's, ... then the gift cards are, in effect, 90 cents on the dollar.

I then purchase using my PayPal debit card (signature method) and get 1.5% rebate from PayPal as well.

So that leaves the cards costing me $0.885 for each $1 face value.

Selling costs are the 2 BTC for the BiddingPond Listing (PayNow listing price), plus the postage (USPS First Class Mail Parcel, w/delivery confirmation ... about $1.60).   Plus the time (and gas) for the short trip to Vons.  So, ... basically breaking even.

My objective was to see if this was a feasible method that provided me a way to exchange USD for BTC without going much over market price.  For that purpose, there is now BiddingGateway.com as an option.  I'll keep the listings up though, to see what level of interest there is for them.

As far as Visa cards specifically -- the $15-off deal specifically excluded some retailers cards, e.g., mobile phone prepaid cards, reloadable cards, and prepaid VISA / MC cards.  So I could do them but I would pay face value (well, less PayPal's 1.5% rebate).  And Madhatter ( http://www.bitcoin2cc.com ) already provides a Visa prepaid solution.

Just place my bid. Check out at biddingpond please. I prefer electronic delivery.

69  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying Bitcoin with liqpay on: November 26, 2010, 09:15:04 AM
Would you guys use mt gox more if it provided a liqpay option like it did before ?

I used it before and I'll use it in future.
I like Liqpay and also buy/sell bitcoins with their help.
70  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin2CC - Convert Bitcoins into a Virtual VISA Card Instantly! on: November 25, 2010, 10:16:32 AM
Dear Madhatter,
Your service is the best!
I received virtual Visa $100, but I don't want to register on the site. I just tryed to transfer all balance to my Liqpay account but I forget that because of the security measures Liqpay demand that cardholder's cell phone is from the same country as the card is.So I can only use it for online purchases. But if you can help me to transfer all or part of balance of my virtual Visa using yours or someone else mobile from Canada I would be happy! If you decide to help me in this matter PM me and I will securely email you my CC info and my cell phone I use for Liqpay .
71  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: mtgox: why only libertyreserve? on: November 25, 2010, 12:38:48 AM
I used LP for 1 year and had no problems. I did send small amounts like 0,04$ and maximum allowed by the system (2500$) several times. Also I had one trade with bitcoinex -  bought bitcoins with LIQPAY from him. So now it looks quite strange to hear from him that liqpay is not reliable.
72  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Operation Project Wonderful (230 BTC) on: November 24, 2010, 09:53:21 AM

73  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: mtgox: why only libertyreserve? on: November 23, 2010, 12:04:43 AM
Liqpay is probably the way to go from all soft money.
It has the best anti-fraud protection. From my googling it seems that it is almost fraud-free.

Thank you for support of Liqpay.com as you know I did try to advertise the service here on forum but almost all forumers were suspicious about its chargebackability and did not trust to service originated from ExUSSR country (Ukraine). I use this service for 1 year now and had no problems with it yet. So if somebody want to give it a try, feel free to contact me to sell/buy bitcoins with Liqpay. I keep my prices very close to the highest bids and lowest asks of MtGox's.

I'm in with 50 btc  Cool
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rally #2 on: November 21, 2010, 04:53:06 AM
I was investigating this company as a possibilityhttp://www.technocash.com/

I would need to setup a company in Australia which I would do here http://www.incorporator.com.au/home.asp

The cost to do so is $295 retail account establishment at technocash and $610 for company setup fees. Then getting enough bitcoins to make it liquid  and setting up a secure website. It could be done if some investors stepped up and wanted to fund it. The investors who did so would then be able to access the site and trade bitcoins easily. Any new traders who wanted to join could then be charged an establishment fee to help support the site.

http://www.technocash.com/pages/bank_details.cfm support the following currencies -
$USD
 €EUR
 £GBP
$AUD
$NZD
$CAD
$HKD
$SGD
¥JPY
DKK
NOK
SEK
VATU

Another possibility to add is https://trans-xpress.com/session who let you use your bank account and offer debit cards to withdraw. They are a bit cheaper than liberty reserve.

I think someone is going to have to do something like this to let new users easily access bitcoin or it will stall. Certainly paying from your bank account would make it more secure and less open to fraud than using credit cards.

I'm interested as an investor. Please PM or e-mail me your proposal in detail when you find more partners.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rally #2 on: November 21, 2010, 03:22:07 AM
This needs a provider who has bank accounts in lots of countries that people can deposit too.

This is difficult for a single person to be able to do, since individual bank accounts usually require some proof of residence and business bank accouts have an overhead.

Currently it would be enough to have couple of persons with personal bank account in each country to make it easier for people from the same country to buy/sell bitcoins with netbank. BTW I can propose for this purpose my acc in Denmark.
77  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Suggestion for dwdollar & other BTC traders: How to fix the SCAM problem on: November 21, 2010, 02:45:51 AM
But if that is so, then why did mt gox drop them ? (or why did mt gox get dropped by mt gox ?) too many chargebacks on liqpay's side?

Mtgox dropped liqpay ?
I have never seen "liqpay" option on mtgox website.
I have Smiley

MtGox had used Liqpay for a week or so, but because lack of interest from most users he drop them and swiched to LR. BTW bad reputation for liqpay is originated from false speculations of some forumers.
If it is just because of lack of interest from the users that's sad, I found it to be the easiest way to buy bitcoins. Well, maybe someone will pick it back up.

You can PM me if you still want to buy/sell bitcoins with Liqpay Smiley
78  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Suggestion for dwdollar & other BTC traders: How to fix the SCAM problem on: November 21, 2010, 02:42:28 AM
Liqpay is not chargebackable. Go to the site and check it for yourself!

to Nanaimogold: you just trying to get rid of competitors and use dirty methods for this. Don't post fake information if you don't know this for sure!

If somebody want to make sure the Liqpay transaction is final just try to send as small as 1$ to your friend and then try to rise a dispute to get the money back Wink

Did you just insult me?

You are not competing with me - you don't even play in the same league.

ALL credit cards can be charged back and in card not present transactions the merchant has no avenue to arbitration.

Liqpay does what they can to prevent fraud but no system is perfect. They DO get chargebacks and they DO clawback when they can and close accounts when they cannot.

PrivatBank is not issuing the cards being charged and they do not make policy for the many card issuers in this world.

Sorry, I didn't try to insult you, there were another users criticizing Liqpay so don't take it personal please.

I'm not trying to play in YOUR leage with your

                              Bid        Ask        Last

Nanaimo Gold  :     0.2451     0.2759     0.2500

4323.51 BTC in inventory worth USD $1223.55

I can propose MY OWN leage with

40000 BTC in inventory

and 0.27 Bid and 0.29 Ask
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rally #2 on: November 21, 2010, 01:34:35 AM
yes, you can send your money by snailmail but you can't buy/sell with this method more then 100$  Wink
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rally #2 on: November 21, 2010, 12:59:56 AM
I already proposed relatively easy access to bitcoins with direct Visa or Mastercard purchase using Liqpay or Moneybookers which is better then PayPal in terms of non-reversibility. But unfortunately people criticised both payment systems without suggesting better alternative  Sad
