I hope the pool owner can fix the connection problem. However, the problem is still there for weeks...  Some people are understandably frustrated as they have connection problems but we are just 8 days old at this point  We are not blocking peoples traffic. For each case we dug into something else is doing the blocking, the traffic never makes it to our server so we are very limited on what we can do. You might check with your ISP and see if they are the root of the problem. The miner is using port 4444 and sending custom encrypted traffic. While we do not know if it will help we would like to test using a different port number in case the block is just based on that. I have added ports 10013 and 4020 as available ports on the pool server. To support this I had to create a fork of the coyote miner source code since the original does not support specifying port numbers. The fork can be found here: https://github.com/pinwc4/coyote_miner.gitThe new syntax of this version is host:port workername So for example I would do pool_miner nrs.blockquarry.com:4020 pinwc4.1 If you do not specify the port number it will default to the original 4444. You also have an optional parameter to specify the number of threads after the worker name in case you do not want to max your CPU. To help with testing I have made a Linux binary from Ubuntu 13.10 with libboost 1.54. So the pool still banned Chinese IP ?  We are not banning Chinese IP's. Something is blocking the traffic for the miner before it gets to our server, not sure what. The same computer than can reach our server for http/https gets the miner traffic on port 4444 blocked before it gets to us. Very strange but it is not us banning anything. One person was able to use a VPN through Japan and get to the pool fine that way, it seems like something in China is blocking it. Maybe if we switched ports we used it could get through, what ports have you been able to use with other miners? 8080, 8081, 8082, 8083, 8084, 8085, 8086, 8087, 10034 4020, 10013 13333, 13334, 13335, 13336 |

Did you download one of the miners on the getting started page or compile your own?
