381  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: February 28, 2014, 05:27:45 PM
Just realized more GH/s in stock and a new low price.  I like it!!! Did the difficulty just go up?

Indeed it did, this morning:

Feb 28 2014   3,815,723,799   21.92%   27,314,015 GH/s
382  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: February 26, 2014, 06:37:26 PM
Yes the consolidated payments would be the best bet. I have 63gh total but I had bought a couple smaller (1 and 2 gh) contracts when I had free BTC to bump up my total. I'd love for this to come in one lump sum.

In terms of verifying every contract paid out appropriately, I'm not worried about this, as I can handle the basic arithmetic of adding the numbers on my profile :-D

More power to you!

As far as I'm concerned the site could be a TXT file with no formatting whatsoever so long as the BTC accumulated at the agreed upon rate.  Tongue

But I'm glad to hear you're examining upgrades! I look forward to buying more hashes from you guys when available.
384  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: February 19, 2014, 03:43:42 PM
Just checked. Still sold out.  Sad
Glad I jumped on this yesterday! I'd imagine they're working on adding more hashing power.
385  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: February 18, 2014, 09:21:30 PM
And this little piggy went hashing. 65.

(also, just dumped most of my cex shares into here for a huge net gain. Cust 891. rewards are already accumulating, not looking back! Thanks!)

Maybe a IFTTT recipe?

Here's one I made that would text you the subject line of any new Gmail that matches the search "BTCguild"

https://ifttt.com/recipes/141122

Once he gets the alerts up and running and I know what the text in them will be, and what address they will come from, this can be made more specific, as this one would text you whenever anyone emailed you the word BTCguild.

Since slush uses a score-based system you basically lose any credit since the last block found and the time you switched.

Ironically, this is why I use Eligius as my failover pool - PPS is best for short spurts.

Been thinking of putting it back as the primary though... Here's hoping everything is sorted soon. Thanks for the updates WK. Nevermind the trolls.

Thanks for the updates and for all your good work!

All the blocks found in the last hour don't seem to be showing up on the site. It looks like there should be 281354, 281356, 281360?
I imagine It will catch up at some point, but just letting you know in case it's an issue.

Edit: Yep, there they are. Never mind!

Does anybody else see something wonky with the PPLNS payout of block 280856?

I've been mining with a constant hashrate past 24 hours or so, and this block is showing half the normal payout of the rest? Just wondering if this is a display glitch, a calculation glitch, or if there's a legitimate reason.

(EDIT: corrected to PPLNS, not pps)

Same here.  Block 280856 payout is only half what it should be.  My hashrate has not changed and my submitted shares per PPLNS shift did not go down but it show my contribution % and payout for the block as only half of what it should be.

Well glad it's not just me.

In other news, I checked all the open shifts and the block shows there as a full payout, in all of them, so I'm willing to bet it's just a display glitch. We'll see what happens after the next found block I suppose.

Well, I'm out trying to acquire one of these. Just wrapped up one of the most frustratingly unproductive email chains I've had in a while, about trying to resolve payment for a December 2nd order, and their support effectively told me to get to the back of the line and made some condescending remark about how I was supposed to request new information from them - Something I've been trying to do all along now for the last 25 some-odd days !!!

 *sigh*

Did you try to order from Minersource or from Black Arrow directly?... Black arrow doesn't support orders of individual units - and the US reseller has a better track record than what you indicated - so i'm genuinely curious here.
393  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow announces 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.49/Ghash on: January 08, 2014, 07:36:08 PM
i placed an order on 1-1-2014 for an X1 on minersource.net and after payment confirmation it said "## Delivery Date This is a PRE-ORDER, now on Round 2 Batch 1"

I just went and had a look a few min ago at my order and now it say "## Delivery Date This is a PRE-ORDER, now on Batch 2 Round 1"

WTF? Have I just been shafted?

I did a screen cap of the original back on 1-1-2014.

What's the significance of  Round 2 Batch 1  vs  Batch 2 Round 1?

Okay, same thing happened to me. Saying I am a little disappointed is an understatement. I would have considered differently had I know my orders were being placed into batch 2 when I ordered.

I could be wrong, but I think the site just lists the current description for the item. I'd ask the bobsag, but I think if you ordered before the cutoff of 1/2 you should be on round 1.

I agree with this.  I had noticed this on my orders as well, orders that were in early December.  They all have the same description of the current item in the store.  I didnt think much of it since that is what I thought was happening.

Not sure what you guys are looking at or where. I just checked my order at the old minersource and looks the same as it always did. No mention of delivery date, batch or round anywhere. That info only appeared on the order page when placing the order not on the finale invoice.

Order #64x Contained the Following Items:

This is on the new site - if I log in and look at my order under "Item" it says:

Black Arrow Prospero X-1 (100Gh/s)
## Delivery Date This is a PRE-ORDER, now on Batch 2 Round 1, all further orders are available...

I'm pretty sure the table there is just pulling the item description from the regular item page because, well, why wouldn't it?

This is an order from december 26 (putting xmas money to good use  Tongue ) so I'm pretty sure it's part of Batch 1 round 2, and the batch 2 notation in the description is just a quirk of the site.

If you're concerned about it I'm sure bobsag can clear it up if you PM or email him, but I wouldn't be worried.

In my experience I've found coinbase to be pretty good. They do make you jump through a bunch of hoops and wait a bit to get your bitcoins, but after a month from your first purchase you can make instant purchases.

Selling coins from them is pretty good as well, though I have experienced some delays, but nowhere near what other exchanges can subject you too.

It seems like they use bitstamp's prices with a little bit of a delay.

MtGox has been subjected to a lot of scrutiny by US regulators and as I understand it, it's hard to use with dollars these days.
