When will this coin be resurrected??  Need a good dev team to step up and take the reigns to get the chain working again

Really need a fix on the Windows wallet & mining crashes........what is the latest progress on the bug fix(es) and the coin swap at coinexchange.io?

Coinexchange.io wants 1BTC to do the swap. That is way too much in my opinion so I am probably going to do the swap manually. We will setup a burn address on the old chanin and open it up for a couple weeks. I will have people PM me and then send the coins to the burn address and then have them send me the TX ID. Since no 2 TX IDs can be the same no one can double dip. I don't think there is a crazy amount of holders of the coin so it should not be very difficult to do the swap this way for me.

As for the bug fixes, we are still working on it. Should be complete very soon though.

That is pretty pricey --- probably best to do it the way you are thinking.  Will CoinExchange.io still switch over the coin COOC to the new COOCH and new wallet/blockchain after the swap?

We'll need a stable Windows wallet before executing this swap, and it would be best to do it as soon as CoinExchange.io switches over to the new coin.

no update no dev no swap what the fuck going here

You can reach out to the dev on thecryptochat website.

I heard from him yesterday --- he's on a family vacation until next week.  Has a team working on a bug with the windows wallet in the meantime.

Has anyone else run into a crashing wallet (windows version) when mining?  It is a show-stopping bug for me, and I can't mine until it is fixed.  Are there any team members on here working that problem?  We need that fixed before expecting any serious investor interest in this coin.

You still ahae an account at TheCryptoChat, micdvd85?  I don't see you on there anymore.  Any progress on the Windows wallet patch to get Windows users back in the game?

Is it possible to mine this right now?  Difficulty is coming in the 300s and 400s.....
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Coochie - Future Adult Themed Payment Option on: November 22, 2017, 04:55:02 AM
Have some rigs going but not mining any COOC so far.....difficulty of ~480?  High?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Coochie - Future Adult Themed Payment Option on: November 22, 2017, 04:36:22 AM
Can't seem to solo mine --- getting the error "HTTP Request Failed ; Failed to Connect to 127.0.0.1 port 10070: connection refused"

New wallet is downloaded & synced.....created a file "coochie.conf" with correct details in the new coochie folder....

EDIT:  Just had to restart the wallet after creating the .conf file.  Mining seems to be active --- we are go for launch.  Snatch that COOC while you can, LOL!
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Coochie Coin - A-coochie-coochie-coo-coo-coo Coin on: November 19, 2017, 08:26:38 PM

I have been bringing down the difficulty almost daily but someone keeps jacking it back up and getting it stuck. Then I crack the stuck block just for someone to jack it up again... The number one reason I don't want it on an ASIC algo anymore and why we have developed a new difficulty re-target system to help prevent chains from getting stuck.

Seems like it's stuck again w/ very high difficulty?  Trying to mine it now but haven't gotten any rewards after leaving it active all night....

If I'm trying to solo mine using two different computers using ccminer,

Here's my BAT file (user and pw are customized in my own files):

ccminer-x64 -a scrypt -i 25 -o http://XXXX:XXXX -u user-p pw

Here's my coochiecoin.conf:

listen=1
server=1
maxconnections=32
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pw
port=XXXX
rpcport=XXXX
rpcconnect=XXXX
rpcallowip=XXXX
addnode=92.51.46.40
addnode=78.46.198.89
addnode=101.51.110.235

Do I run the same files on each system, with the wallet open on each of them?  Do I need to use a different username for each?

When I tried changing it to user.1 and user.2, and matched the details of the coochiecoin.conf and the bat file on each system, I received an error that the username & password didn't match the needed credentials.

When I just have the same username for each system, I'm able to run the bat run successfully on each at the same time.  However, having left them active for the past 12 hours, I have had very little mining success, which makes me wonder whether they are configured correctly...

Once I get home from work today I will scrounge up some extra hashes to get it broken.

Great --- thanks, MC --- any tips on multi-rig mining this to the same wallet?  Should it work without assigning different workers?  If so, is running the same .bat and .conf file on separate rigs OK to do, and will result in parallel mining?  Apologies for the more general ccminer question and not explicitly COOC related --- I just haven't been able to nail down an answer to this after a thorough google search.

Great news and plan for the new chain, micdvd85!

How has the premine gone from ~700000 to 1900000?  How did the coin supply more than double over the past few months?  I wasn't in on that action!  Cheesy

I'm not trying to sound mean in anyway but simple math can explain this. The current amount of coins is around 1.53 Million. With the block reward currently set at 7 and the block time being 1 minute that means that 420 new coins can be created every hour, 10,080 new coins everyday and over 300,000 coins every month... I had to keep the premine about 1 month ahead of the current supply to account for all the coins that are going to be mined during the swap period. That is the reason for the extra 300-400 thousand coins.

With the new chain the reward will be 5 forever at 2.5 minute spacing. This comes out to right around 1 million coins per year for the rest of time. So there will never be an issue with too many coins or not enough coins as far as I see it.

Thanks for the explanation!  Didn't know the reward was still set at that level/rate ---- the new version sounds better.

The Rich List on coochiecoin.thecryptochat.net seems off --- my wallet doesn't show up on there and somehow, someone has managed to jump up to 197000+ COOC while the network has effectively been shut off.

How do we get this accurate again?  It would be good to straighten this out before the big swap!
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread on: September 25, 2017, 01:16:25 AM

We do not make the price, the market does. We make and develop the product that is it.

About the POS...that started 3 years ago and was programmed in the code since the coin was launched in march 2014 that it would stop with 25billion coins....that number was reached these days. If you think that it's sketchy that it ends when the rules are met ....then I have nothing to say.

25billion coins max from the POS was coded years ago (3?)and it has arrived.
holders will gain interest now only from receiving transaction fees, if wallet is left unlocked.
It's reached the 'end game' earlier than all the other coins as far as I am aware, so it is interesting to see how this will operate ,
in this different scenario , and with the upgraded core and new wallet format  (goodbye QTwallet  Cry  ),with  0% inflation.
And with the coming implementation of other useful traits encrypted (sic) storage,  messaging.
I see it as pioneering as what happens here will be happening in all the other alts eventually, and bitcoin itself in about a decade.
ECC is on a roll I wouldn't gauge its success on a single market that's in bear mode, hold on to your investment and accept that things take time. You will be relieved when it changes, and forget that you were impatient, or just come back here in a year and call me a muppet!.

Clearly, I have misunderstood the history of the coin (in its current state) and the timeline/deadline for POS --- thank you for clarifying that.  It makes me feel a little better about it.  However, it was rather disappointing to have the wallet effectively break right when I became an ECC holder in June, and then meet its POS max when the wallet reboots in Sept.....

I look forward to brighter days ahead....

So if the wallet is fixed, why is the coinexchange.io price still under 8 sat, and almost 50% of what it was a few weeks ago?

Are you serious with your questions? Why does price go up or down? Why is Bitcoin not at 5000$ any more?

BTW...it's not a wallet fix, it's a totally new core...not seen on any other Scrypt coin...ohh and a 0 inflation Scrypt coin...not many that can say that either.

Pretty convenient that the wallet breaks for months, then the coin comes out as no-inflation, POS all finished.  The fuck is up with that?

I left my wallet open for staking for weeks (over a month?)  with over 15 million coins ---- hardly received anything.  Just a huge list of orphaned POS transactions that never yielded a thing.

Then the wallet dies, and when it comes back, all shiny and new, POS is done.  Wow, how sketchy is that.

Yes, I'm serious w/ my price questions.  If ECC is so amazing, then why is it under 10 sat again and not even budging with this shiny new release?  It was up beyond 40 sat just a few months ago when the old, sketchy wallet was circulating.

All very strange and does not build confidence in this coin.

So I have the daemon and GUI.  Windows 64.

I double click the daemon to run.  It's running.  Takes up 17% of system CPU resources....

I double click the GUI.  It launches.  It gives the error "Error getting wallet info.  Daemon may not be running or is loading the Blockindex".

I close and reopen a # of times....same message.  I confirm that ecccoind_64.exe is running in processes....it is, taking up 17% PCU and 300+ MB memory.

I leave it to sit overnight.  No progress.

What gives?

I have same config
I first started the new gui, then i started the daemon , both downloaded from the website
https://www.ecc.network/

and it synchs slowly, but it does
check your firewall, and maybe your antivirus

cya

Thanks for the reply --- yes, I think it is syncing slowly.

I belive my coins now appear in wallet but I see zero (0) for coinexchange.io --- how do we connect our coinexchange account with this wallet?

Is it possible to deposit and withdraw from coinexchange.io?  If not, what is the ETA for this?
