bitfinex API works (both public & private), but trading stopped 10 minutes ago... maybe their trading engine was stopped for maintenance or maybe DAFAQ IS GOING ON COME BACK ONLINE RIGHT NOW!!!

It's weird cuz I see the price change when I update the bitfinex page. But nothing in API

Come on people

WHERE IS THE PANIC!?!?!1

API back on lol

There's a bot at bfx selling between 0.4 and 0.8 every few seconds. Maybe it's shorting actually, not sure

um no, there is a bot putting in very small bids piling on top of each other. This is why the price is going UP with red candles. Smart buyers with limit orders and dumb sellers with market orders. You pay less for limit trades and you also get to buy more with less slippage.

I wouldn't read too much into this one way or another. The volume is so low it could mean anything or nothing.

You're right, my bad. Didn't pay close enough attention

EDIT: Actually that's not it. I just saw it pile up 3 asks in a row on top of each other. It's doing both

All these pics of animal balls are fucking disgusting, perhaps the forum should have an age limit

why? how old are you that you are offended by a edible by-product of the meat you already probably eat?
if you are vegan or vegetarian i do apologies  Kiss

Vegetarian. But that has nothing to do with it. It just creeps me out

The next 24 hours will determine the future of crypto currency for the next decade.

The next decade will determine the past of the next 24 hours
376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who the hell is selling right now? on: January 04, 2015, 02:54:18 PM
I just don't get it. Why would you sell so low?

And why buy bitcoins in the first place if you just planned on selling low?

Leveraged longs feeling more pain for every dollar the price goes down
377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 04, 2015, 12:43:51 PM
yes i'd like to know too. 6 years after bitcoin didn't evolve a bit, mainstream adoption is failing etc...the infancy phase excuse is becoming more and more dull.

6 years from now the same people will be saying the same thing: Bitcoin is still new. Patience my friend. We need to shake out the weak hands first. Wallstreet is dying to get in at the right price. Just buy and hodl.  Secret forces are accumulating. Big money is gobbling up all these cheap coins.

Bitcoin is worth 10 dollars at that point.

don't forget the god damn traders... shorting the crap out of this technology for a petty $50 profit Sad
378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holy sh!t the price isnt rebounding but going lower now!! on: January 04, 2015, 07:06:03 AM
I expected it to pop below 300 and after breaking this level for the real capitulation to start, but didnt expect to fall this fast.

This is really bad news that the price isnt rebounding much at all. Volume is high and people are getting the fuck out as quick as they can.

Nobody is buying into that cheap coin bullshit.

We are going to test 200 very quickly. The capitulation looks to finally be hitting. This is worse than I even expected.

and your agenda is to "warn" people yes?
379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Kinda scary fact (actually not that scary) on: January 04, 2015, 06:09:28 AM
Lol agree
380  Economy / Speculation / Re: Kinda scary fact on: January 04, 2015, 05:56:01 AM

I estimate the risk at around $3M give or take a little.

edit:
The BTC swaps are in a dangerous predicament. Mainly that big spike near the low. A good bounce and we could be in for a ride.
When fewcoins made all those claims about a short squeeze over the last couple of weeks, I did a similar analisys on BTC swaps and came to the conclusion there was only about 2300 BTC worth of risk at the time. Not much for a squeeze.

Great post!
