a) bitcoin forks, new coins are bitcoin XT but are still traded as bitcoin
b) bitcoin forks, new XT coins are traded as a new coin.

The next new announcement in September. You have to remember, this is a currency. Yes it has a team that works on supplying a platform for it. But they don't have to hold your hand all the way through.  |

The way I see it, Bitcoin is way too complicated for mass adoption. Most you could hope for is a high percentage of the 1% than can use it. What it needs are offices, like banks have, to teach people about bitcoin, why bitcoin is good, and guide them through the process of opening a wallet, buying bitcoin and teaching them how they can use those bitcoin. Plus better and more streamlined (noob friendly) way to use it on the internet.

Now that is funny! Peter may have singlehandedly killed off all past, current and future alts that do not use this method of initial coin distribution, including Ethereum. Fastest destruction of an alt in history. Ethereum dead before it even made it to the starting blocks. He is my new hero. This also has the potential of eliminating most of the incentive to make new alts for the pump and dump of it and reducing the entire alt space to serious coins only. Yes but still if you add up all the dumps in the previous days, it's over 60k BTC (i'm counting only the big instant dips) . Now if you weed out the panic sellers etc you're still left with about 20-30k done by somebody or a group. Wasn't talk on this forum ab some Eretheum people who got almost 30k btc in IPO or something, which they're dumping?
